  1. Yes, he has .... which makes it even that more unfortunate that he's the best option out of the bunch.
  2. Rex probably has those pink slips already written in anticipation of the next two losses.
  3. Rex is a lousy HC but he is no fool. He just fired the guy who was the obvious choice to replace him as interim HC once Rex is canned during the bye week.
  4. Oh, I agree ... this is not a mutually exclusive situation. Both Rex and Brandon can be great salesman but suck at their respective football jobs.
  5. Rex is the ultimate salesman. He pitched the organization and conned them, and many of its fans, into thinking he was a good HC which he is not.
  6. Hogan will be down in the pecking order which logically means not many opportunities. It also means he'll likely end up in very favourable situations against 5/10 DB's/LB's, especially with Brady controlling things behind OC. If Hogan continues his penchant for getting open, he may well become a significant match up nightmare to contend with.
  7. Idiot NFL players abound. Hopefully Marcel provides his cell phone else he might face further sanctions from the almighty and powerful commish.
  8. Lucky? Was Paul Brown lucky to have Otto Graham as his QB? Was Vince Lombardi lucky to have Bart Starr as his QB? Was Tom Landry lucky to have Roger Staubach as his QB? Was Chuck Knoll lucky to have Terry Staubach as his QB? Was Bill Walsh lucky ot have Joe Montana as his QB?
  9. Considering where they have been drafting throughout the last decade+ (consistently at the end of each round), I'd say BB has had to work the draft like no one else ever has.
  10. A very strong case can be made that Brady is the greatest QB ever. Barring injury, by the time he hangs em up, there will be no argument. By then, he may well be the greatest player to ever play.
  11. I get the stability part of keeping the clan together. But, with said stability will come the same mediocre output that was witnessed this past season. Still, it won't stop most from opining in here next offseason about how great the results will be for next season .... only to realize disappointment, yet again. Such is life supporting this franchise.
  12. So, this is in agreement with my previous post that what differentiates the top teams from the not so good teams is QB play ....?
  13. Sorry, I am not certain what you mean here. Can you elaborate for me please.
  14. I think the complications arise from the "have 2 feet down plus make a football move" requirement. Would it not be less complicated if they removed the make a football part and just require to have 2 feet down?
  15. The salary cap control mechanism that is in place in the NFL has pretty much made it the case where all teams have very similar roster talent. What differentiates the top teams from the not so good teams is QB play and coaching. This is where the wheat separates from the chaff.
  16. The Rex situation is one akin to a tiger not changing its stripes. Rex is who he has shown himself to be ..... an excellent DC but lousy HC. To expect this to suddenly change now is nothing more than wishful thinking.
  17. Also, get rid of the 1/2 the distance penalty and allow the full penalty yardage, or place the ball on the 1 yd line if yardage penalty amount exceeds available distance remaining.
  18. Sometimes when a team is as dominant as the Pats are, the only viable explanation for it is to assume shenanigans are what is responsible for the outcome. So, we get accusations of cheating, not just by fans of other teams but also by the owners of other teams. This gives rise to instances such as deflategate. In reality, the explanation is staring these people right in the face. The reason why such domination has taken place is because the team doing the domination have the 3 most dominant people in the game, at the 3 most important positions, on the team; the owner, the HC and the QB. If another other team had such dominant people in place, at such crucial positions, they too would be posting such dominant results.
  19. Watkins is nothing more than a "million $ body, 10 cent mind" athlete who is needed to equalize the "million $ mind, 10 cent body" types out there.
  20. If the goal is to beat the Pats (and it should be) then the last QB you want is a turnover machine like Luck.
  21. Rex excels as an actor. And a buffoon.
  22. EJ ... yet another in the long line of crappy QB's that have played under OC for the Bills.
  23. Belichick would have ensured his team used Duracell (vs Eveready) and not suffered such issues.
  24. Objectively, it's simple. Rex's presence here has turned the Bills into the hot-headed, undisciplined Jets of last year and Rex's absence there has turned the Jets into a disciplined professional football team that is a strong playoff contender.
  25. Watkins has a ton of talent and ability but ....... these are not the only traits he needs to make it in the NFL.
