  1. Oopppppps .................
  2. He's 3rd on my list after Rodgers and Brady. And, in short order, his team will show they agree when they make him the highest paid QB in the league.
  3. Ground and pound can win provided it's not at the expense of being able to pass. It is a QB league; the rules have seen to it. Just look at the QB's in this years playoffs ......a grouping that includes the best in the game (the final 4 includes the 4 best QB's in the game in fact). Some of these teams also have VG to excellent defenses which, simply makes them that much more of a difficult out.
  4. Look no further than Saturdays Pats/Ravens game for support of your claim. The Pats barely ran the ball and schematically favoured a pass defense over a rush defense in their win against Balt.
  5. It's a QB driven league where, if you don't have a top QB, you need to get extraordinarily lucky to win come playoff time. That is, if you also get lucky enough to make it that far. Admittedly, having an excellent defense betters the odds in either case.
  6. Actually, you need to have Peyton on the roster for the regular season to get you into the playoffs and you need a 2nd QB on the roster to get you through the playoffs.
  7. Yes, but it'll only result in a cheating reference if it's Belichick and the Patriots who do the devious deed. I can't imagine Peyton would want to subject himself to the grind of being a HC after calling it quits. The guy's worth what, $100M ... he outta ride off into the sunset and relax for the rest of his life. Or, get into some aspect of ownership. I too thought the booing was tough to watch though, I can understand in some ways as Manning has no real connection to Denver fans other than being a highly paid, hired hand brought in to win them a SB ..... something that Manning didn't deliver. Still, be that as it may, I thought it was dis-respectful for them to boo him off the field as they did
  8. Well, at least he has a convenient excuse for why he choked this playoff run .......
  9. The weather inside RWS would eat Manning alive.
  10. Not sure what the big stink is ..... Chip Kelly ran such plays this year.
  11. Knowing the stat lover that Peyton is I could see him coming back to pad his #'s. But, he'll have to pick a dome team and then conspire with the league to ensure that none of the away games he might play in, against cold weather teams, take place in Dec/Jan.
  12. Under "big game choke artist" is a picture of Peyton Manning. And to think some consider Peyton in the greatest of all time conversation.
  13. Intended? If the league intended the rule to never be exploitable then they would have made it illegal to do what the Pats did, no?
  14. NFL says substitutions were legal. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/12150444/2014-15-nfl-playoffs-league-says-new-england-patriots-substitutions-vs-baltimore-ravens-legal I wonder if Fox or Pagano will read the rulebook prior to next week's game?
  15. Shula's still alive? I guess his posting such stuff is his way to help ensure others don't also think he's dead and irrelevant.
  16. Someone would have to be a moron to pass up any of just 32 jobs in the world.
  17. LOL. Pats aside, there is so much ineptitude in the AFCE.
  18. Dalton is no better than Orton. Foles makes the most sense to me.
  19. Marrone's always been a dud. Nothing is about to change now that he's looking for work. This Mehta dude though. After seeing his picture, I can't take anything he says serious; he looks like he's 15 years old.
  20. It's a no win job for whoever has to do it. The fact that a bunch of recycled HC's are being bandied about as the leading names to assume vacant HCing duties just shows of the desperation involved.
  21. Is he allowed to cheat the salary cap in order to win?
  22. Shanny is a great hire if he is given a team that is allowed to cheat the salary cap in order to win. Otherwise, he sucks.
