  1. He's one of 60 senior nominees who made it through the cut from 182. Jack Kemp is also on the list. Tom Sestak and Darryl Talley didn't make the cut. Sestak was a beast. https://www.profootballhof.com/news/2024/10/60-seniors-advance-in-voting-process-for-pro-football-hall-of-fame-class-of-2025/?fbclid=IwY2xjawFrtzdleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHbYd9_TC7G_msWH2xU9T1_xRsmJzZRSe3rFZ-E4dMCjEPn_JtTdBaBjytg_aem_UR5Ra3mB1qKzO2rXfy4NNA
  2. Robert James was by far the Bills' best cornerback (and one of the best defensive players) ever. Who knows where he'd be on the list of all-time NFL greats if he hadn't suffered a terrible injury in a meaningless preseason game.
  3. Sorry to hear that. I hope the fact that they're calling him "interim" means Murph will be back at some point. Can't help but be concerned about his recovery.
  4. There was one game that season that they only won by one point. It was against us.
  5. I was at that game, and sitting in the upper deck at that end of the stadium, so we had the perfect view of Kelly's run. There have been more significant Bills-Dolphins games over the years, like the playoff wins and the end of "the streak", but this is still my favorite.
  6. Guess whose picture is at the top of the article? http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/05/18/nfl-draft-worst-quarterback-classes Bills trivia note....it mentions Gary Marangi as part of another bad group.
  7. He was great with the Raiders...too bad he'll always be remembered here for being part of the worst trade in Bills (and WNY sports) history. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/09/former-raiders-wr-art-powell-passes-away-at-age-78/
  8. I remember when Lou Saban returned as Bills coach. He said "We have a new offense. OJ left, OJ right, OJ up the middle". He saved OJ's career. CJ may not be another OJ (I still think for pure talent, he was the greatest Bill of all time) but he is a rare talent, and it's criminal that our coach not only isn't utilizing him properly, he just isn't utilizing him. But given our history, maybe there's still hope.
  9. If you never read the 2001 Sports Illustrated article about Bob Kalsu, here it is. Have a kleenex ready. Bob Kalsu in Sports Illustrated
  10. Don Majkowski, from Depew....the last quarterback to start a game for the Pack before Brett Favre's streak. And he should be in their top 5. I wonder how many other sites like this are having discussions like this because of the Sun-Sentinel list. It shows how lucky teams are to have great quarterbacks who stay healthy and have long careers.
  11. The Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel ranked the Dolphins' all-time 10 best quarterbacks. Obviously Marino is #1 and Griese is #2....but how about Chad Pennington as #3? And it gets a lot worse after that. Dolphins top 10 QB's So I got to thinking....Kelly vs. Marino is a pretty even competition at #1. Kemp vs. Griese at #2: slight advantage Dolphins? Ferguson #3: clear advantage Bills. Where do we go from there? Here's my list: 4) Flutie 5) Reich 6) Bledsoe 7) Fitz 8) Lamonica 9) Dennis Shaw 10)James Harris I left off Edwards, Collins, Van Pelt....and of course JP & Rob Johnson. Discuss.
  12. If we can get back to commenting on the suspensions, here's a question. Since Vilma & Payton each got a year, what's the earliest you think Greggo might be reinstated? If he ever is.
  13. Let's help him "clarify" his statement. This is what he said: “In the end, everything is brought before the light of day,” Harbaugh said. “Even the thing in New England, no matter whether those things had any impact on whether they won their championships or not, they got asterisks now, it’s been stained. So to me, it’s never worth it. You’ve got to figure out ways to use the rules to your advantage.” Sounds like his opinion to me. Here's mine. The words "cheating scandal" will appear with "Super Bowl" in the first sentence of Bill Belichick's obituary.
