  1. Edwards had a great game. Kwaika Mitchell was a beast. I loved the Mitchell signing last year but was disappointed at the end of the season that he was not more of a factor in any other games beside this one. This game was wierd. It was the one that was delayed by the big power outage. Very wierd sitting in the stadium watching a game with no announcers or scoreboard/stats of any kind. What a shame that the Bills season pretty much fell apart after this game.
  2. Sorry. Didn't know you had it. I will change mine. I love that picture. It's funny as hell.
  3. Relax. I was also making an observation that there are other opportunities to improve the team. The Bills are obviously not going to come out and say "Holy sh--, we are so screwed. We traded our best OL without realizing everyone else on the team sucks. We have decided to forfeit the season. See you all in 2010". Of course they are going to say nice things about the guys on the team. Every team in the league is currently looking for ways to upgrade every position on their team even if they like the guy who currently fills the positions. I didn't mean to insult anyone, I just didn't think I needed to state the obvious.
  4. Good thing the season doesn't start tomorrow. Btw aren't there some unemployed O-linemen available to be signed? And I think I read something recently about some hotshot college kids that might want to play. Back away from the ledge. dude.
  5. If he is so good, why is he the 4th or 5th best DE on the board ?
  6. Couldn't agree more. I am sick of the morons who cry about value and saw we should trade down a few spots to get the same player. 1.) If you identify a player as significantly more important to your team than anyone else around him, take him. 2.) Even if they could guarantee that the guy they want will be available 5 picks lower, who says the team 5 picks lower wants to trade with you ? And who says that once you found a trade partner and made the trade that someone else can't then jump ahead of you to take your guy ? I am not saying they should grab a guy at 11 who is a 2nd rounder. I am saying that if they identify a guy as an immediate difference maker (which I think Pettigrew is) they should grab him and don't look back.
  7. I don't think Oher would start at LT immediately. He would probably come in at LG or RT and would need to develop. I think we can get prespect at 28 or in Rd2 that is roughly as good as Oher. I think the drop off after Pettigrew is steeper. We have the chance to take the absolute best TE in the draft or the 4th best OT who is not significantly better than the 7-8th best OT. I heard in NFLN yesterday that some scouts don't think Oher can play LT in the NFL. I don't know enough about him to say. I just think that the Bills should take the opportunity to draft a difference maker. I like the idea of taking the best player at a position rather than the 3rd or 4th best OT or DE.
  8. Free speach. Christopher may or may not be an A-hole and may or may not have a small Wee Wee, I really don't care either way. He has every right to express his opinion and I sort of agree with him. Donte seems like a great guy, and hopefully he is a productive player for the Bills for many seasons. He made a stupid decision in a stressful decision. This does not make him a bad guy automatically. His reaction and threat to sue Cleveland does indicate a lack of brains. He needs to stop it. He needs to admit the mistake, apologize to the Police and move on. This Christopher character seems a bit pricky complaining about the grammar and typo's. It's Facebook not a newspaper.
  9. That's another good one. He looked good as a rookie. I think he will replace McGee in 2010. I can't wait to get Youboty back. He fit the nickel corner spot perfectly. He looked great at timing the corner blitz. I think he was a big loss last year when he got hurt. Our defense chanes dramatically.
  10. I like Jonathan Scott. Everyone seems to forget about him. I predict he will be starting at LG or RT for us. I think that was a good, under the radar pick up by the much maligned FO.
  11. AMEN. This would be a great move. Git 'R Done Russ
  12. I have to admit, I have fallen in fan-love with Pettigrew and I want the Bills to take him at 11. I think Buffalo needs to take advantage of the opportunity to grab the best TE in the draft. We have not had a difference maker at TE in decades. With Trents penchant for the dump off, Pettigrew would be a huge security blanket for Trent. I don't think there is another player we could take at 11 who could have this big of an immediate impact on the team unless Raji or Curry drops. I WANT PETTIGREW.
  13. I seriously hope the Bills are all over this situation. Waters would be a great addition to the OL. Gonzo would be AWESOME, but after passing on a chance to come here last year, I don't know if he would change his mind now. One can dream. Maybe we can trade our two 4th rounders for Waters (KC) and Scheffler (Denver).
  14. I have a questioin for the draft/scouting experts. Everyone knows the Bills need more pass rush. We have Schobel at RDE. Whatever rookie we bring in would play LDE. My question is this: Is it hard to switch from RDE to LDE or are they interchangable ? I ask because I am wondering if we need to target a kid who has been a successful RDE or if it matters at all. I think I remember Bruce Smith flip-flopping ends. So I don't think it makes a difference. Wanted to get some thoughts on it and if this might limit who we go after. Personally, I can live with Schobel and Denney at End. I would love to see more pressure from the DT (maybe Raji or trade for Henderson) and we need an OLB who can pressure the passer. Maybe Pettigrew at 11 (or hopefully after a slight trade down) and then Cushing, Matthews, English at 28? I really cannot wait for the draft. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
  15. Its April and the excuses are already being put in place for Trent. Good god. If Trent continues to play like he did the last 2 years, its over. He needs to take a huge leap forward in terms of his play and his leadership. Stop being a wussy and force this team to follow him. If he does not play a lot better than he has so far, we will have a new coaching staff and Trent will be a backup, probably on another team.
  16. Then he can hold out again and demand a new contract. That seems to happen every few years with him.
  17. While I am not one who is big on arguing specific stats, because I think you can always find a stat to say whatever you want, I like the fact that he finds the End Zone a lot. 9 TDs last year. Again, not trying to slam Freddy. I like him to, just don't think the Bills need to break the bank for him. And I wish his agent would shut up.
  18. I agree. Hopefully a LB in Rd 2 and trade the 3 for Scheffler.
  19. I wonder how many on this board will flip out when the Bills trade Kelsay for a 5th or 6th rounder. Thats about all they will get. Then a bunch of dopes will be crying about how cheap Ralph is.
  20. Right on. I still want them to trade for Scheffler and add a verteran OT (maybe Tauscher) and LB (Keiaho). I like the bold moves.
  21. I wish Jason well in Philly and I agree that the Bills problems started when they broke the bank for Dockery. He turned out to be another softy like Mike Williams.
  22. So this is more like his Mel Kiper Big Board than a true mock draft. I would love Oher to drop to us at 28. I don't know about Maybin. I think he is way too small to play DE.
  23. He was not unceremoniously dumped by 3 teams. After 2006, he was a UFA and signed a big deal with the Raiders. After an injury plagued 2007, he was dumped by Oakland in a salary dump. I honestly don't know why Indy dropped him this year, other than the DWI, which I could care less about. Everyone needs to quit crying about character. Remember Bruce, Andre, Darryl, Thurman and Jimbo ? Loads of off field stuff with those guys. Just not as much media and internet crap about it. Now a guy takes a dump and someone post on Facebook or Twitter what color it was and that he didn't wash his hands.
  24. I think they are very similar players. Rhodes has more experience. Scores more TDs and blocks way better. I like Freddy, but Rhodes is better. I also disagree that he's on the decline. He had a good year last year, better than Jackson. And he is only 2 yrs older. I like our backfield now better than before this signing.
