  1. THE RAIDERS. Just kidding. Thank God they are so stupid. No matter how bad we are, at least we are not the Raiders.
  2. Thats my point. Why trade up to get Levitre to be a backup when we still need starters at OT, TE and OLB? I love the gfact that they are addressing the OL but not at the expense of other needs.
  3. How the F do I know. I don't spend 80 hours a week scouting these guys like the professionals do. I am not too sure about Maybin. He seems small but everyone says he has great pass rush ability. He is being compared to Jason Taylor, who is not very big. I was surprised by the Byrd pick, but he sounds like a playmaking safety that could help the D. I really like what the bills did today. Now we need a FA linebacker and a trade for Scheffler and I will be very happy.
  4. Byrd will be starting at FS for the Bills before the bye week. As for the trade, NFLN just said that NE was going to take him with the pick right after Dallas pick they we acquired. So, it sounds like Russ pulled one over on the Cheatriots.
  5. I hope they are on the phone with Kieaho right now. He is a good fit for our Defense and made a lot of plays in Indy.
  6. Keiaho
  7. coaching, front office and ownership. In no particular order.
  8. I would offer up our second rounder next year for Scheffler.
  9. Levitre said on his con call tonight that the Bills OL coach told him they think his best position is G but that he can back up all 5 o-line spots.
  10. Nobody can say we did not address the O-line this year. 2 top draft choices and 2 UFA signings.
  11. we still need an OLB unless you want Ellison starting. Maybe we sign Keiaho now.
  12. Not saying their interior OL has been good. Just saying it was addressed with Hangartner and Mckinney in Free agency and Wood in the draft. I like all of these moves but just think that we should have address OT before taking another guard (Levitre)
  13. NFLN lists him as a tackle, but most other places list him as a G. I like the pick if he can play tackle. Otherwise, its too much focus on the middle of the line. I have Butler, Hangartner, Wood and Mckinney in the middle. A trade up, giving up a 3 and 4 is a luxury pick and a waste unless Levitre can compete for one of the Tackle spots.
  14. I would do that. Maybe we could throw in a 5th rounder or something.
  15. You are probably right. I would be fine with Monroe or Andre Smith. I just don't want Oher at 11. I get the feeling he will quit football within 2 years.
  16. They should definitely be looking to trade picks for players who can help them win right away. I would love to see them get Henderson for a 3 or 4, especially if they can get extra picks by trading Roscoe, McCargo, Kelsay, Simpson or other non-essential players. I would like Scheffler too, but only if we can't land Pettigrew. Scheffler is better than any of the other TE's in the draft. I hope the Bills are very active tomorrow in trades.
  17. I really don't think the Bills will move up more than a few spots. But if Monroe drops to 7 or 8, then I could see them making a move because it would not cost that much to go up 3 spots. and the salary demands would be much less than if he went in the top 5. If they pulled off a move into the top 5, the cost would be outrageous in terms of picks and salary. A top 5 tackle would make close to what Peters got, that would really be stupid.
  18. I will be pissed if they pass on Pettigrew and then take Nelson in Rd1.
  19. It would be great for Buffalo if this happened I don't think it will. But it would be awesome. The Bills could grab him and have a very good OLB. Or they could trade the pick to move down and probably get a King's ransom. I think there will be a few teams climbing all over each other to get him. We are not one player away, so we would be smart to move down and take the extra picks and still get a quality OLB later in the round. I don't think the Bills could go wrong either way. In fact, I think the Bills are in a fantastic position at 11. They are in a spot where they could get one of the top LT's, DE's LBs or TE's. There are really in a no lose situation.
  20. NFL teams are more concerned about the right thing for the team's bottom line. They don't generally just throw away money if they don't have to.
  21. Why on earth would they pay Jackson $2-2.5m a year when they have him already locked up at $460K ? He has no choice but to play. In fact, I think the Bills can actually begin lowering their contract tender at some point if he holds out. Look, I like Fred Jackson, but it is a business. The Bills are not going to throw away $2m. If anything, they will sign him for 4 years at around $3-3.5m total. Maybe a $1m signing bonus. The gives Fred some upfront money and some financial security and it give the Bills some security because he would be locked in for 2 years after he would have hit UFA. If he demands a 2 year deal, I don't see the Bills going any higher than $1.2m or so. Maybe $1.5m tops.
  22. Pettigrew. Just to screw with the Bills. He becomes the next Ben Coates.
  23. I haven't seen too many people on TSW who hate Pettigrew. Most of the people like him, they just think 11 is too high. I think we have to take him at 11 or we won't get him. But I understand why people think its high for a TE.
  24. The team has more than just one pick. We can take Defense at 28, 42, etc. The defensive ends available then will be just as good as Ayers, Maybin, et al.
