I think you might be the one who needs to get a grip if you honestly believe that any negativity on this board can be self fulfilling. By the way, I haven't seen anyone predicting that the sky would fall, just that the Bills suck and Trent is not the answer at QB. Why don't you take your own advice and go rake some leaves. Come back when you have something "productive". Thanks

A real coach or GM would force him to try to win which would cost him money -
It all starts at the top...

or just wait a year or two. Ralphie ain't getting any younger. The only time that this team had any success was when Polian talked Ralph into spending money to make money. Then Ralph pushed Polian out of town and went back to being Ebenezer Scrooge. The only thing keeping me interested in the team is knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually we will have an owner who is interested in winning. And don't give me any crap about LA or Toronto. The Bills are never leaving Bufflalo. Guaranteed. -
Training Camp pass plays....
Maddog69 replied to Steve In Atlanta 2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did not go to camp, but the reports I read said that all of the pretty downfield passes you saw on the news took place after the QB would have been sacked and the play was basically dead. The WGR guys all said that most of what they saw at camp were checkdowns. -
My view on the preseason and the season to come
Maddog69 replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is exactly the response I was going to post This year is going to be painful. Then we get the new coach with the 3yr plan. I worry that my kids are never going to see a Bills team as good as the one I watched with Jim Kelly and Co. Its time for Jimbo to step in and save the Bills again. Bye Bye Ralph "I love Mediocrity" Wilson. Watching the Bills in the NFL is like watching my 7yr old do the doggy paddle in a swimming race against Micheal Phelps. -
Watching the game again because I like pain

The problem is that Edwards is not a good QB. -
THE DEFENSE GAVE UP 10 POINTS. THE OFFENSE SCORED ZERO. FYI - You cannot win if you score ZERO. The defense is not dominating, but they are not the problem.

Trent sucks. But Fitz is no better. Nobody would do well QB'ing this team. Not making excuses for Trent. But just changing the QB will not solve anything. We will suck as long as Jauron is the coach.
-
I wish Jauron was already gone, but I really believe that we are stuck with him for at least this year and next unless the Bills season really goes horrible. I predict that if we are 6-10 or better Dick will be back. Maybe they will fire a coordinator or something. I just don't think Ralph is going to eat more than 1 year of Dick's contract. The Wildcard to all of this is if Ralph one way or another is no longer the Owner (not trying to be morbid or offensive). Jauron will be out of a job as soon as new ownership is in place, guaranteed.

Brandon Marshall is a piece of poop
Maddog69 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Atleast Marshall is only pulling this crap in preseason. Jason Peters did this to us for the whole season last year. -
I was at that game with a huge group of my college friends. Holy cow that was a blast. I have a ton of great memories from that game even though the weather was not so great. I remember being rained on all day but not caring when that kick went through. I forgot it was Norwood. Maybe he's not such a jerk after all.

Bills interested in Tarvaris Jackson?
Maddog69 replied to bizell's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why the heck wouldn't the Bills be interested ? He's a solid NFL QB with tons of potential. In my opinions he is 100x better than Fitz as a backup and could push/replace Trent if he struggles this year or gets injured. This is a make or break year for the coaching staff, they are going to want to be confident in the backup QB given the fact that most starting QBs do not stay healthy for all 16 games. I think Buffalo would be absolutely crazy not to atleast monitor the situation and see what it would cost to get him. -
But we still would have had Greer, an OL/DL or LB who we would have picked instead of Leodis last year as well as all of the picks from this year. The only difference is that we would have spent $23m to keep Greer plus another $23m on whomever we drafted instead of Leodis. That is, I assume, where the problem would have come into play for the Bills. I guess my question is, why open up a whole in the defense and them immediately draft to fill it when you could have kept Greer and addressed another need? I think that Leodis in the long run will be a much better player than Greer, but its interesting to consider anyways.

Would it have made sense for the Bills to pay Greer the $23m to keep him and then draft another area of need (OL/DL) with our #1 pick last year rather than drafting Mckelvin and paying him $23m ?

Big Ben would be playing in the UFL ? -
I really think you are grasping at straws trying to make this look like special treatment for TO. There are probably plenty of other instances of it, but I just don't think this is one. The main reason is because he has an injury and the other injured players were indoors with him. If he were uninjured but was allowed to stay indoors while everyone else was out in the rain, that would be preferential treatment. This, to me, seems like common practice. Injuired players work out no the side with trainers while the rest of the uninjured players practice as they normally would, whether indoors or out. This is really a non-story.

Wow. I wonder if your other 28000 posts are more insightful or if you just enjoy acting like a tough guy.

Again, I realize there are a ton of plays that could have been made and/or a bunch of mistakes to be avoided, but my point is that not one of them individually could have GUARANTEED A VICTORY. Norwood had a guaranteed victory on his toe and he booted it wide. Was it a long kick, yes. Was it impossible, No. Bottom line for me is that he had a chance to make history with one single play and he, himself blew it. I still have no ill will toward him. I wish him a long and happy life and would shake his hand if I met him. But I will always have some anger toward him.
-
I disagree completely. I totally understand all of the different woulda-coulda-shoulda's with clock management and missed tackles and everything else. But the bottom line is that with a Superbowl Championship on the line, Scott Norwood choked. He was put into a position to make a historic kick for this franchise. Many players have been put into similar situations and have come through. They are sports legends or heroes (viniateri comes to mind), while many others have flubbed away a golden chance at greatness. Norwood is the poster child for failure in my mind. Nothing else in his career matters, he had 1 chance to make history and he blew it. I will never forget the pain of watching that kick and I will always hold him responsible for it. Call me whatever names you want, but this is my honest opinion. I do not hate him. I would not do harm to him and I respect him for his career but I will alway blame him for blowing the Bills best chance at being Superbowl Champions.

So you are calling out sports fans posting on a team website for negative opinions about a player from their home team? Are you a complete idiot? If it's just a game, one that you are not part of, why are you posting here ? BTW - I never said I personally would "punch him in the face", I simply suggested that there is probably some bad blood left in the WNY area. So take your self-righteous opinions and shove 'em.

Isn't he Marshawn Lynch's cousin ?
-
Isn't that kind of like Art Modell signing autographs in Cleveland ? I hope for his sake that he has body guards.
