Bills to rent Rhodes, predicts Ross Tucker
Maddog69 replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
didn't he return to Indy after being cut ? -
wow. Cannot believe the Pats* would trade him. Thats a nice pickup for Oakland and its one less player on the NE* defense for us to worry about.
-
Aww,c'mon. T.O. never called him a homo. He called him a "duck".

Change the subtitle to Starting QB and I could get on boiard.

Ralph held a coaches meeting at his house
Maddog69 replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy Crap - Can you picture Ralph being your boss and calling you in to yell at you ? It would take him 45 minutes to do 5 minutes of yelling. I think I would resign before having to go to the meeting just to avoid the torture of listening to him. I am picturing Ralph firing Jauron and then having a press conference like Al Davis did when he fired Kiffin. If we get blown out on MNF, Dick will be fired immediately after the game. -
I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back Rhodes(and/or a veteran OL like Levi Jones) after week 1 when they won't have to guarantee his salary for the year.

What s the deadline for teams to make their cutdown
Maddog69 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They still need to make a few more cuts, right ? -
In my opinion, Kelsay is behind Schobel, Maybin, Denney, Bryan and Ellis on the depth chart. I will be shocked if he is on the final roster

It Could be Worse - We Could Still have Wade!
Maddog69 replied to blzrul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would absolutely, 100% prefer Wade to skeletor. Wade is a much better coach. -
I'll bet kelsay and roscoe will be gone

I am surprised by the move as well. Rhodes really showed nothing in preseason, but with Lynch out for 3weeks and Freddy banged up, I thought they would keep the veteran backup atleast until Beastmode is reinstated. I would bet they plan on grabbing somebody off waiver who can play HB/FB so they can dump Mcintyre. Or they will let Corey be the backup HB. The did give him a lot of looks in preseason. Who knows. It sure looks like another curious move by a messed up organization. 1 Bills Drive is starting to made Raider nation look smart.

I want playoffs this year or 2-14 and Hello Mr. Shanahan. Bring him in to run the team like Miami did with Parcells. Let him pick a coach (Maybe his son). My fear/prediction is 6-10 or 7-9 and status quo

The ONLY problem with the Bills and the playoffs
Maddog69 replied to tennesseeboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is the complete opposite. Team know that they do not have to defend a pass further than 10 yards so they bring the entire defense up into the box which makes running the ball damn near impossible. You are right on one thing, it is a vicious cycle: Trent won't throw downfield so teams are taking away the run and sitting on the short routes. Until we show that we are going to throw downfield more than ocassionally, we are going to face this same issue. Think of it this way, basically we are facing a goalline defense all the time. Trent needs to start chucking it downfield. Even if he doesn't complete the pass, it will back off defenses and open up more of the field. -
It all starts at the top...

My biggest problem with Ralph (other than the fact that he has proven year after year that he has no interest in winning except for the year Polians forced him to) is that he refuses to reward the loyalty of the Buffalo Bills fans by doing something to guarantee the Bills future in WNY. He could sign a longterm lease with the city. He could put in a living trust that guarantees the next owner keeps the team in Buffalo. He could put an agreement in place with a local buyer to give them the first right of refusal on the team upon his death. Whatever it may be, I simply find it insulting that he chooses to payback the fans of Buffalo by lining his pockets and holding on to the team like my Grandfather with his drivers license. After all, in the 50 years of mediocrity presided over, the value of the of the franchise went from $25000 to $800,000,000+ and a great deal of that is due to the support and deviotion of the good people of Buffalo. The same people he is basically holding hostage at this point. I think it is great that the team has stayed in Buffalo all these years, but I don't think that they are still here in any way due to Ralph's altruism. They are here because they have had fan support like no other team in the league. In my opinion, Ralph has no ties to Buffalo and would have quickly moved the Bills to greener pastures had there been an opportunity that that would afforded not only a quick payday, but the same longterm stability and support the Bills get here. Ralph needs to step up and guarantee the future of the Bills otherwise there will always be a long list of people who have anger, hatred and disrepect for him. -
Truthfully, I think our only chance is if Brady gets hurt.
-
I know. They should call it the No-TD offense instead of the no huddle.
-
42-6 ? Do you really expect an offensive explosion like that from the Bills ? I am thinking shutout. I really would have thought you were crazy if you said we'd get 7. We probably won't have an offensive TD all year.

That is seriously one of the funniest song parodies I have ever heard. I forwarded the link to atleast 40 people. GR's website will be getting some serious traffic

GREAT POST. I agree 100%

Agree 100%. My problem with this organization is that they are bad and nobody in the organization seems to care at all. -
Has he played or practiced at all this year ?

What Happens If The Lions Light Us Up?
Maddog69 replied to Dante's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In all seriousness, this last preseason game means nothing. But it would still be great to get a win, if nothing else but to get the team to feel some sense of success and confidence heading into the Monday nighter. -

Don't you mean "When" not "If" ? -
I want to be the first to say
Maddog69 replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, what you are saying is that the Bills are going to suck but not as bad as Denver and that Bills fans should not express their opinions about the team on a Bills fan message board because we might get a TD against the Pats and that will prove how good we are ? What is really pissing me off lately is the endless string of people who start a thread simply to tell others what they should think, feel or say about the Bills. This is a discussion board. If someone posts a "negative" post and you can rationally and intelligently disagree, please reply. If you just want to criticize them for being negative please go sell crazy somewhere else. -
Jauron is really not that smart. His game plan for MNF is to try to score a few FGs and not get shut out on national TV and then tell everyone that he has to watch game tapes before deciding whether or not his team player well in a 56-9 loss. And he'll finish the press conference with "you know, it's really hard to score only FGs in the NFL"
