There is a falsehood running rampant on this board
Maddog69 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good thing they play 2 halves. Remind again what the final score was ? -
If we beat the Texans, I don't think there is a chance in hell that Trent starts against the Titans. 0% chance. Even if we lost to Houston, I think Fitz starts against Tenn.

it looks like Holmgren won't be Buffalo next year....

I really don't think we will see any changes in Buffalo. -
Looking at the rest of the schedule

and another 3yr extension for Dicky J. -
Fitz is better at trying to win. Hitting our WRs. Throwing to guys who are not wide open, winning games and being a leader. Trent is better at Checkdowns, losing, sucking and sounding like a wuss whenever he is spoken to. EDIT: I forgot to add that Trent is better at throwing 2 yard passes on 3rd and long.
-
Fitz has won 2 straight games. Why the hell would you go back to Trent. He's proven week after week that he is not a competent NFL QB. I think its really a moot point anyway. Trent will not play next week. If he's healthy enough to come back after the bye then Dick has a decision to make. I think they will use the concussion as an excuse to keep Trent on the sidellines until Fitz proves he cannot get us to 7 wins to save Jauron's job..

Fitzpatrick...How many times were you saying
Maddog69 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB rating is meaningless. I care about Wins and Losses. Thats it. Trent = L. Fitz has been winning. -
Make all the excuses you want for Trent. He is 1-4. Fitz is 2-0. The d has given Trent many turnovers and he squandered it. He is not a good QB. Fitz gives the Bills the best chance to win right now. If they put Trent back in there, they risk losing the defense for good. Putting in Trent = giving up on the season.
-
what exactly does he do better than Fitz ? I'll give you checkdowns and losing, other than that I cannot think of anything except for being a pansy and a loser.
-
"Can you repeat that, Dick. I dozed off for a minute because you are so damn boring"
-
Those 2 wins had a lot to do with the QB. Fitz makes better decisions, anticipates open receivers and makes tough throws. Trent waits for players to be wide open and makes the safe throws. Trent is not a playmaker. Fitz got the job done today. That TD pass was something Trent would never have thrown. And Fitz continues to try to get the ball downfield even though TO kept dropping it. The finally decided to stop wasting chances and went to Lee instead. Fitz scored when he needed to and was able to put the game away. Trent, not so much. Just like last year when all the Trent ball-washers were saying "he wins more games than JP", I will use the same argument this year. Fitz is winning. Trent should stay on the bench.
-
I don't get how anybody can watch these 2 players play and not think Fitz is better. He actually reads defenses, makes decisions and tries to win. Trent finds the guy closest to himself and throws it to him. Trent is pathetic. Fitz did not put up great stats, but he ha 2 consecutive road wins. He also was not helped today by pretty terrible O-line play and 3 drops by T.O. With Fitz, we have a chance to win some games the rest of the year. With Trent we have a chance to pad Ryan Lindell's stats and get a high draft choice. I pray I never see Trent play for the Bills again. Ever.
-
Fitz did not look great. But he has a win in the AFC east and 2 consecutive road wins. He made some throws today Trent never would have even tried. I still don't think the Bills are an 8-8 team with Fitz. But they were going 2-14 Trent. He sucks and the players know it. As far as I am concerned, I want Fitz to play the rest of the year unless we are trying to get the highest possible draft pick because then Trent is surely the way to go.
-
Hopefully his new helmet this year is a baseball cap. Maybe next year his new helmet can be from another team. We have 2 wins without him. Bye Bye Trent.

Astro - Thanks for posting. I like reading your mocks. They are very entertaining. But, I personally think that not having the Bills pick a QB with a very high pick(rd1 or 2) really lessens the validity of your mock. If we draft in the top 10 and do not atleast attempt to address our lack of a franchise QB, I will be pretty disappointed. Every year, this board lights up with the names of all of these great DTs who you people guarantee as future hall of famers who would turn the Bills into perennial SuperBowl contenders. Correct me if I am wrong, but the only one who has come close to expectations is Ngata. Dorsey seems like a bust. Harrell and Okoye have done nothing. Stop with the round 1 DTs. You are better of picking up an older vet like we did with Sam Adams or Ted Washington. We need a Franchise QB. It would seem more likely that a QB taken at the top of the draft would have a much higher chance of success than some late round prospect. I know Tom Brady was a 6th rounder. But he's the only one I can think of who has gone on to be an elite QB. We need to hire personnel people to identify which of the prospects this year are the franchise QB and then do whatever we have to to pick him. Hopefully we won't be picking near the top of the draft again for a very long time.

Fitz's record was 4-7-1 last year.
Maddog69 replied to fansince61's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is possible that they wanted to bring him back but he either chose to leave or they did not have the cap room to pay him what we did. Not sure if this is the case. I just don't think they simply because he left Cincy, they believed he was crap. -

George Steinbrenner and Ralph Wilson?

Are we a 2-4 team or a 4-2 team???

I just checked NFL.com. We are 2-4 -
What is the biggest disappointment this year?
Maddog69 replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do people use the term "regression" in relation to Trent ? Regression implies that he showed progress at some point. In my opinion, he is exactly the same now as he ever was. Quick to get rid of the ball and take short gains regardless or down and distance or who is open downfield. Originally this was seen as an improvement because the perception was that JP held the ball too long and got sacked too much. Trent really never achieved anything other than not being JP. I would equate it to Barack Obama getting a Nobel Peace Prize for not being George W Bush. -
Anyone hear if the Bills plan to send film on
Maddog69 replied to Steve O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that it was a rough take down. But these guys are trained to take the guy down as hard as possible and not to stop until the Ref makes them. This was not a late hit or spear or helmet to helmet. It did not get (or deserve) a flag and surely does not deserve a suspension. If Trent was not injured, this would be a non-issue right now. Unfortunately, Trent is brittle and will continue to get hurt on routine hits. -
Could Fitz actually save DJ's job?
Maddog69 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mark my words, if we win 6 or more games, Jauron stays. Maybe they make some coaching staff changes, but Jauron stays. -
OK. I can't take it anymore and I hate to be THAT GUY, but the correct spelling is ridiculous. It is ridiculous to me that people cannot spell simple words. Good lord.

Two concussions for Trent - does he finally switch helmets?
Maddog69 replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think his career will be cut short by lack of talent long before Concussions end it.
