  1. Technically, every team has a chance to win every game. But if you look at it realistically, I would not list the Bills as a favorite in any of their games this year, especially at this point since we don't even know how the final roster will shake out. I think the BIlls are heading in the right direction, but I believe there will be growing pains this year, especially since we don't have a QB on the roster who has proven they can get the job done on a consistent basis. I do not expect the Bills to win more than 4-5 games and I would not be shocked if they win less. On the plus side, hopefully this will put us in position to finally grab our Franchise QB in next years draft.
  2. Well, I would be thrilled if that happened, although I would be in a lot of pain from the monkeys flying out of my ass.
  3. Hell, Mike Gandy would be an upgrade for us at LT, RT and/or Guard. He would be a great signing for a veteran presence and for his versatility and experience.
  4. So, only blindly optimistic fans (some might call them delusional) are "True Bills Fans" ? This board would be pretty boring if every post was "oh boy, the Bills are great. They are the bestest team ever. I think they are going undefeated and anyone who says differently is not a True Fan". Give me a break. I think the BIlls will win 4 or less games in 2010. I will still fervently follow them and I will be at every home game, unless Edwards is starting, in which case my friends will get free tickets because I cannot watch Trent play gutless football anymore. Go Bills.
  5. Perry Fool went 3-4 in his 7 weeks as interim HC. Are you seriously saying he would have gone 6-3 in the first 9 weeks of the season? I know Jauron sucked, but Perry was no better.
  6. Trent will not be cut. He may or may not be the starter, but I guarantee he will not get cut. His salary is 1/4 of what Fitz and Brohm make. Whichever of those 2 is not the starter is the one who gets cut. Most likely Fitz. I think the depth chart will be Brohm, Edwards, Brown or Edwards, Brohm, Brown with Fitzy packing his bags. Theoretically, they could keep all 4 by sliding brown to the Practice squad, but I just don't see them paying $2m to both Fitz and Brohm and neither is the starter.
  7. That's expecially true if Captain Checkdown is the starting QB. Look for lots more 2yr dump offs on 3rd and 9.
  8. I love the BIlls as much as the next guy, but with No NFL caliber QB and OT's on the roster and an brand new offensive and defensive scheme, it is really not a stretch to think they could be picking 1st overall. They were not far from it this year and have done nothing to get any bette while other team around them have definitely improved. It sucks to admit it, but I would not be terribly disappointed if we did have one brutal season to be able to get a potential Franchise QB and finally get the team moving forward. At this point, nobody has a clue what will happen, but I would bet money that we are closer to 2-14 than we are to 10-6 in 2010.
  9. I think that if the Bills were able to get their hands on a late 1st round pick, it would be used on Tebow or Colt McCoy rather than Cody.
  10. I've heard Tebow at QB, HB and TE, but this is the first I've heard that he will play CB too. Damn he's good.
  11. How about Lynch for Leroy Hill? Our problem for theirs. The report the other day said that the Bills were looking to trade Lynch for a player not picks. Seattle told Hill to stay away from minicamp, usually means a trade is in the works. The guy seems to be as dumb as Lynch, but he's a solid LB. Thoughts?
  12. And we end up with the #1 overall pick in 2011.
  13. All that and we still wouldn't have a QB
  14. He probably meant Brandon Marshall.
  15. If Williams is that good, why is he the third best DT? and Why is he never talked about on any of the shows covering the draft or by any of the experts on TV/Radio ?
  16. Mort is a douche. But his point has validity. I think what he meant by "impatience" was that Ralph thinks things can be fixed overnight and has had a propensity to approve/force knee jerk changes rather than allowing time for players to develop. It is the same thring that frustrates me with many of the posters on this site who demand that we get 3 all-pro quality starters in this draft and that we immediately make the players. While it would be great, it is unrealistic. We have to be patient and let Nix and Gailey put a team together that can be competitive for several years, not just 2010. I think that was the point that Mort was trying to make with that comment.
  17. Not to mention that position is already filled by Trent Edwards.
  18. I don't want to see Trent or Fitz starting for the Bills ever again, unless it is only for a few weeks while they prep the newly drafted Franchise QB. But I don't care who is under center week 1, I will be cheering my butt off for them to succeed. But If it is Trent, I don't know if I will be able to force myself to actually go to the game.
  19. I am not saying that the Bills will take Tebow at 9, but it would not surprise me. The logic the Allen Wilson post makes no sense though. He says that, when picking in the top 10, teams only select a player who will start immediately (or atleast in their rookie year). That is not so. Take Maybin and McKelvin. Neither started or even really copntributed much in yr 1. Also, with Chan Gailey designing the offense, I think he would find ways for Tebow to contribute right away and he probably would be starting by seasons end. I find all of these "reach" comments hilarious. If a player turns out to be a good player, it makes no difference where he is drafted. Every single year, there are players who the "experts: ranked lower than others. Thiose lower rated players outperform the higher rated ones. Who the hell cares? If the BIlls take Tebow at 9, 41 or 256 there is still an equal chance of him succeeding or failing. Byrd was not the highest rated safety in the draft last year and he made the probowl. The draft is a crapshoot. I will be happy if we can get out of the firat 3 rounds with Mccoy, Tebow or Clasuen, a LT prospect and a NT prospect.
  20. Have fun. I went the year we drafted Lee Evans and JP in the first round. It was quite an experience. It was really cool being there. We sat maybe 150ft from the ESPN set. It was cool being that close to Kiper and those dopes. We only went on Saturday and stayed for the first 3 rounds, but I did enjoy it. I am a big draft nerd, so I missed the information overload I get at home being able to flip from ESPN to NFLN and also surfing the web for info. I don't know if I'll ever go to the draft again (maybe when my son gets older if I can get him interested in the draft), but it was an experience I won't soon forget.
  21. I love options 4 or 5.
  22. Maybe. Maybe not. But I think I would trust Buddy Nix's judgement a bit more than yours. After all, he has studied the guy and actually spoken to him and looked him in the eye. If Nix takes Tebow at 9, I will be thrilled. In 3 yrs we'll be able to tell if it was a bad move or not. What none of us know is what other teams think of him and where they would draft him. For instance, If you knew for a fact that Jax was going to take him at 10, would you still be against the Bills picking him at 9?
  23. I am starting to think you are right. If the Front office thinks he is a man, then I am fine with him at 9. He will go in the mid 1st round. If you think he is the guy, you take him.
