  1. Exactly. If he is found to have done nothing wrong, why suspend him? Can't believe Obama hasn't gotten involved yet. Maybe a teary eyed speech about how his son would look like Lesean.
  2. Yep. Sounds to me like the DA is trying to cover his own butt here. He realized he will have a tough time getting a conviction and a trial will embarrass the PD. He's probably going to try to scare Shady into some sort of plea deal. I would be very surprised if Shady agrees to anything at all.
  3. exactly. We have plenty of options to open cap space. Restructure Clay or Hughes. Dump McK, Graham, and/or Urbik. Basically, the cap was an issue for us in past years because of Ralph's Cash to the Cap policy. Now that we have owners that don't mind spending money, the cap is less of an issue to me.
  4. How would he feel disrespected when the Bills brought him in specifically to give him a chance to become a starter. He was given a 3 yr deal that voided to 2 if he performed well and gives him a chance to hit a big contract at the end of year two "IF HE EARNS IT". He hasn't yet earned it. He has a lot of things to improve on. Will he/Can he earn that big payday, very possibly yes. But I don't think the Bills are totally convinced and I would be shocked if anyone else around the league is 100% convinced. I think it would be a HUGE mistake to sign him for $19-$20+ per year on a long terms deal right now. The best play is to try to get him to agree to a 1-2 yr extension. Something like 2yrs, $36m ($8m signing bonus maybe 50-60% GTD). That gives him some immediate cash upfront and some stability. It would give the Bills time to see if he is the long term answer and he would still have the opportunity to cash in Big time at the age of 29 IF HE EARNS IT. Panicking now and signing him to a Ryan Tannehill type deal would be a mistake. Look at the 49ers and Kaepernick. I don't want the Bills to be in that situation.
  5. VY DUI? OMG WTF SMH
  6. That's exactly what I was saying at the time. I think that was a panic move. Bottom line though is that the botched PAT doomed them. If that was made, the simply would've needed a PAT after the third TD to tie the game and probably go to OT.
  7. That is how you succeed when you don't have a QB that can stand in the pocket consistently and win with his arm. And running the ball eats up clock and helps cover for the suspect defense. So, at this point, Bills fans (and the offensive coaching staff) should be all about running the football.
  8. They are the best team in the AFC (especially since Dalton was hurt, I thought Cincy would give them a run for their money). But I think both of the NFC teams are better than NE.
  9. I really like this guy. Would be a big addition to our D-line. (pun intended)
  10. Certainly would be neat, strictly from a historical perspective. But there are certainly better teams left in the playoffs that would provide better matchups and better games in the Superbowl.
  11. Dude. They guy is in a fight for his life and you're on here speculating that he's an alcoholic and that's what caused it? C'MON MAN. That just sucks.
  12. Wouldn't you need to prove the statements to be untrue to prove slander?
  13. I totally get the frustration and distrust of Rex. But his defenses were generally very good with NYJ. Our offense is already better than anything he had with the Jets and should still improve. If we can put our solid offense together with one of Rex's solid defenses we should easily be a playoff team next year, right? Or am I just fooling myself into optimism? That's possible too.
  14. Interesting: Manish Mehta just tweeted that Donnie Henderson leaving opens the door for Thurman to work with the DBs where he is more comfortable. Maybe this is not a forced demotion for Dennis. Who really knows. So many different reports.
  15. Rex is the D coordinator. I don't care who has the title. Rex runs the defense. His brother will help. Thurman will help. Ultimately, it's Rex's defense. Would the Bills offense have been any different if Chan had replaced Curtis Modkins when they were with the Bills? NOPE.
  16. That would be pretty cool
  17. From that list, I think Favre is a lock. Pace should also be a HOF'er. The rest are debatable. T.O. Probably belongs in. Maybe not on first ballot. Harrison - borderline Atwater was good. Not sure HOF worthy Terrell Davis was great but injuries shortened his career. Probably belongs in. Warner is debatable too. Very good for a while, but just don't know. Probably belongs in at some point. Morten Anderson should get in. Lynch should get in Atwater, maybe. Faneca, Jacoby, Dungy, Greene, James - probably not worthy. I thought Coryel was already in. Probably should be.
  18. Exactly. "Franchise QB" means different things to different people. Do I think he can play well enough to get us to win some playoff games if everything else goes well? YES. Do I think he can play like Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady and carry a team to a Championship? NO.
  19. I'll be shocked if it is not the Bills.
  20. I was thinking the exact same thing.
  21. based on his previous tweets, I am guessing this has to do with his personal life and nothing to do with Buffalo or the Bills.
  22. Teams and team doctors should be protecting players from themselves. They should not be allowing players to play with serious injuries such as these. Scrapes, Bruises, soreness, slight muscle pulls, sure go ahead and play. But all other injuries should be held out. Roster sizes and maybe salary cap should be increased to allow teams to protect player safety,
  23. Tell Glenn and Incognito that have $12-13m per year to share. Let them and their agents figure out how to divide it between them.
  24. I like Cordy and I think he is a decent players. But I would not break the bank to sign him. I would love to keep the line together as much as possible but with the other players who will be needing new contracts soon (Taylor, Gilmore, Incognito), it would be a mistake to panic and overpay Glenn. If you look at the contract of the LTs just outside the top tier of guys, you'll see contracts averaging $6-8m per year. That's were I'd put Glenn. My absolute maximum for him would be something like 5yrs for $43m or so. But I'd start the negotiations at $6m per year and go up from there. Veldheer's 5yr $35m deal might be a solid middle ground.
