Just got through the worst chunk of rain....what is left of the core of the system just dumped 8-10 inches of rain......still raining but much lighter.....winds are still blowing 50-60, but south and east of Orlando they're 70-80. Can't wait for this to end!! -

Thankfully dodged all the tornadoes so far.....there was a huge one in my area that for the most part stayed in unpopulated areas. Still have power, 3 inches of rain so far with a lot more to come. The fact that it weakened a little more than they thought, and that it is moving faster than they thought may help the Orlando Metro Area, but still expecting 10-12 inches of rain. Sorry to those who didn't miss the tornadoes. Staying positive....wish me luck!! -

A track shift to the South may save Tampa from the unprecedented storm surge into Tampa Bay, but it is only a small measure of help for the Gulf Coast of SW Florida....people are saying to expect "un-survivable" conditions down there. As for my area, a track shift to the south means less wind, but more rain......maybe a foot of rain. Did not flood my neighborhood with 18.5 inches of rain from Ian, but at this point, who knows. Now it looks like the East Coast of the State from Brevard County north to Jacksonville is going to get beaten up pretty badly as well after the storm crosses the Peninsula and enters the Atlantic. I guess no one will escape this storm without some degree of impacts. Sucks to be a Floridian right now......wish I could pick up my entire house and transport it to Las Vegas for a couple of weeks!! -

I've grown up here since the 80's, and Central Florida never got hit between 1980-2016 except for 2004 when we had 3 in a month, but since 2016 I can count at least 10 that have affected the Central Florida area. There was a legend around here that Walt Disney chose Orlando because it was the least likely area of Florida to get hit with Hurricanes......that theory held up for a long time, but I think we can put that legend to rest at this point. I know some don't believe in it, but I can assure you that Climate Change is a key driver of the uptick in Hurricane activity in my area...I've been seriously considering moving, but anywhere you go will have their own unique severe weather to deal with......I guess we go with the Devil we know!!- 121 replies

In the Orlando Metro area, we are expecting wind gusts of 80+ MPH, 8 inches of rain, and extended power outages. Things in the Tampa St. Pete area are going to be much worse....in fact, most of that area of Florida has evacuated to the Orlando area. Didn't really enjoy the game this week knowing what is coming, and most likely won't see the next one unless I am extremely lucky about not losing power. Funny enough, during Ian 2 years ago, 95% of my County lost power, but remarkably, I was in the 5%......so here's to hoping I get that lucky again. If not, I and many of our Florida Bills fans may not be able to check in for a while, so spare a thought for us down here in FL and wish us a safe passage through this storm....I will post an update as soon as I can, and I hope our other Fl Bills fans do the same when they can. Stay safe, everyone!!

O'Cyrus Torrence.....He just hasn't taken that next step...
Special K replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
IIRC, Torrence really only had 1 season of SEC level competition before he was drafted. This might be a reason why it might take him a little longer to put it all together. I didn't start the thread to crap on Torrence, just to state the fact that he isn't as far along in his development as I thought he would be at this point. Like you stated, lets hope we see some progress, especially in pass-pro, by the end of the season. -
I was really expecting OCT to take that next step this year and elevate his game. He played terrible vs the Ravens and Cardinals, and average vs the Fins and Jags. I'm no o-line expert, and I haven't written him off by any means, but it looks like it will take a little longer for him to become the dominant RG I believe he can be. Thoughts??

Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams

I wanted Budda Baker back when he was in the draft.....him and Bishop together would be a formidable Safety duo for the next 3-5 years if a contract extension could be worked out. -
Starting off the game with a 3 and out followed by an 87 yard Henry TD run almost felt like an early knockout blow for the Bills. The game was lost, but on several occasions, it looked like the season could be lost as our Franchise QB took several brutal hits on the sidelines while he was running for his life, plus the worst hit of all on the failed trick play. I know the Ravens D plays with a nasty streak, but a few of those hits plus the eye poke of Kincaid were just downright dirty. Josh is tough, but even he looked rattled by a couple of those hits....losing a game hurts, but losing Josh for an extended period of time from a borderline dirty hit would be season-ending. PROTECT THE FRANCHISE, PLEASE!!

I know I'm a little late on this, but I really enjoyed watching the Broncos do everything possible to give the game away, but the Jets being too incompetent to take advantage. 9 points vs Denver?? Not worried about them threatening Buffalo in the least.

Found this stat regarding Brown's excellent play: Brown is the only offensive tackle in the league with at least 25 pass-blocking snaps and zero pressures allowed. This post doesn't quite do it justice, either – Brown has way more than 25 pass blocking snaps. He has 91.

James Cook's Kamara-esque game...(edit:new discussion on page 4)
Special K replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I meant to resurrect this thread after Cook and Kamara both won Offensive Player of the Week in week 2. It really looks like the Dallas game last year truly was that first step towards Cook becoming that consistent dual-threat RB that takes this Offense to another level!! If Cook has a few more games like the Dallas game from last year, and this year's Miami game, I think the league will have to take note and hold him in the same regard as they do his idol Alvin Kamara! Keep Cookin' Cook!! -

Happy I can finally focus on the Bills game this weekend after dealing with Hurricane Helene.....60 mph wind gusts here in the Orlando area over 250 miles from the center of the storm!! I lost power......for 10 seconds....just long enough to say "Dammit" real loud before it went back on. I honestly can't believe it went back on that fast. I hope our other Florida Bills fans have made it through the storm as safely as possible.....I know this storm will be a disaster for the Florida Big Bend area.....this state just can't catch a break from these damn Hurricanes!🤢 -
Ty Johnson has had 2 really great receptions in back to back games.....the one that he was tackled at the one vs Miami, and the TD grab vs the Jags. It isn't a knock on Davis if Johnson is ahead of him, Johnson is making some really big plays, and deserves time on the field. Not to mention the fact that it seems like Brady likes to use everyone at his disposal throughout the game. It really is a smart strategy. He gives the second and third stringers a few plays at the beginning of the week, tells them to eat sleep and breathe these few plays during the week, then they execute these few plays at a high level on game day. I love his idea of keeping everyone involved....it seems to be working!!

I said it in the 2nd half thread: 17 is the best football player on the planet!! Go Bills!!!
