I know...What's up with that?

It cracks me up how writers, reporters, and the like who have no clue about the Bills whatsoever are jumping on the doom-train...Don't get me wrong...They may turn out to be right...But it's not going to be due to any actual knowledge about the Team...

I voted 8-8 which would make them the surprise Team in the NFL based on the predictions of doom in the National Media...I think they'll be a tough out and MUCH tougher at Home than in recent years...They will still lose their fair share, especially on the Road vs. good Teams..My guess is they go 5-3 at Home and 3-5 on the Road while just missing out on a couple Games that could have gone either way...I think the weakness will be the Run Defense, especially on the Road...I think they will be more fun to watch (duh...one word...Spiller)and just a better product all around this year...They'll need a monster off-season in 2010 to keep the momentum going...But I like the start of the "Anyone-but-Jauron Era." Oh and...GO BILLS!!!!

I actually hope this is true...I know everyone assumed Brown was going to be held over to the 53, but this is BY FAR the smart move if you ask me. This is the move of a Team who expects to go out and win, not just play it out for next Season...I'm not saying that they are actually going to win... ... Just saying...

I wanted The Bills to Draft James Hardy SO bad when I saw him play a few times his Sr. Season. I was convinced he was EXACTLY what The Bills needed on the other side of LE...Now it looks like it may be over for him already in Buffalo...Crazy...To me the Kid looked like no-brainer... Maybe it is I who have no brain...

I want to add one thing to this thread... I'm hearing SO much 3-13, under 5 wins (Gruden and Jaws on ESPN), vying for the #1 overall pick in 2011 (Kiper on ESPN)...It's insane how bad people think this Team is... Thing is...I've been following this as close and anyone Nationally, and I really have no idea...I think this team has talent, not great talent, but some talent...I think the thought that they will be one of the worst if not the worst team in the NFL is at least a bit of a stretch...I think they're Coaching this year, especially on Offense, is light years ahead of last Season when they went 6-10... I know this much...If The Bills can figure out a way to Run the ball and stop the Run at Home they are going to give Teams fits at The Ralph...I don't see any reason, outside of another injury plagued Season, this Team cannot win 6-9 Games...It's still probably not going to be good enough...They'll still need to get a lot better...But I think they're a far cry from the worst Team in the NFL...I guess we'll see soon enough...

THIS ^^^ Well...Especially before a single Game is played...I can understand if they're 3-12 and a loss guarantees the 1st Pick in The Draft...But even then I don't really want them to lose. It's more like, if they lose it's not all bad...

I remember that article, and I remember the author claiming Ducasse was literally begging Scouts to move him inside during the Sr Bowl Practices because he could not stand getting beat...I would imagine that took him off a few lists right there...

The Bengals Offense looks like it's playing at Fast Forward speed and the Bills look slow and completely confused...This Team is still pretty weak in the trenches...It's better than last year...But not much... And how about McLovin' flat footed in the end zone getting absolutely schooled?...That was freaking ugly...

Fair enough... I think the key here is the Bills have been terribly mismanaged over the past 10 years. There is all kinds of blame to go around for that...No one, Mr Wilson included, wants to lose at OBD...It's simply been one bad decision after the other that lead to comparisons like the ones in this thread (ie Bills=Pirates)...It's not that simple, and it's 2 VERY different Pro leagues anyway...
