  1. He's known to be a VERY hard worker as well... For the record Jeffery declared today...
  2. The Poll probably needs to be better worded...I'm going to go out on a limb and assume, without condition, that any Bills Fan would prefer these other QB options to Fitz...But some would not be willing to do what it would take to get them...Otherwise this Poll would be a glaring example of the lack of Football knowledge around here...
  3. I usually see his name around 10-15 overall...He may go higher though...
  4. Apparently they were VERY close... I plucked this part from an ESPN article yesterday; "I used to think nobody hated losing more than I did or was more miserable after a loss. I decided it was a tie between me and Bill," Manning told (Chris) Mortensen. "And I stay in the building pretty late and he was always here working, too. Personally, my goodness, so many thoughts. He was one of the last guys to leave my wedding with Ashley (his wife). This is very, very tough."
  5. No offense...But you're over-analyzing Jeffery...I'm sure some NFL GM's will do the same so he can fall right into The Bills lap...He's a player and a freak physically...He'll break plenty of tackles, but more importantly he'll catch tough passes and he's born open because of his size and wing-span...Don't over-think it...He's really good...And better than anything the Bills have currently...He's solid off the field as well...He's a hell of a good prospect...Period... And forget about Blackmon...The Bills pick 10th and he'll be long gone by then...
  6. Well... I lived in Charlotte the past 20 years, and I too saw a ton of Jeffery at USC...DB's are fast too...But Jeffery has plenty of speed...He's been clocked at sub 4.5, but most Scouts think he's a 4.5 - 4.6 guy...Dez Bryant ran 4.55-4.65 in his Private Workout...So Jeffery figures to have enough speed to be just fine in the NFL...Plus he has tremendous size and hands...And for the record two different times in that 1st Half vs. Nebraska he had more than a step on a potential 1st Round CB who is supposed to have mid 4.4 speed... So anyway...Jeffery is fast enough...
  7. Gailey pretty much said the Defense was 100% one voice the past two years...And that voice was Edwards...Chan has already been quite honest that he is not hands on with the Defense...In fact I was a bit surprised an NFL HC would admit he was that removed from one side of the ball the way Gailey did...So...If you believe Chan...It was Edwards...
  8. Agreed...I don't think Batten or Moats is big enough or strong enough at the point of attack to play DE in a 4-3...And I don't think Carrington can hold up as a DT in a 4-3 either...Maybe on sure Passing Downs...But that's about it...He would have to slide out to DE...Which may not be a bad thing...
  9. I really like Blackmon and Jeffery...I like Jeffery a bit more for The Bills...But not much more...I'm a bit baffled by some of what you wrote...Jeffrey runs every route in the book and he runs them all well...Short, long, intermediate, over the middle...He can do it all...The reason I like Jeffrey more for the Bills is simple...His size and hands...He has the ability to get himself open with just his body...And The Bills have a QB who can be inaccurate at times...Jeffery will come down with a bunch of those passes...I think Blackmon has more top end speed...But what does that really matter when you have a QB that is going to underthrow him most of the time anyway...Jeffery will adjust to those errant throws better IMHO...But I would take either Blackmon or Jeffery in a half-a-heartbeat in Buffalo...
  10. Totally 100% agree...
  11. Just my opinion...Luck goes 1st to Indy and that's that...I think the chances of Indy trading the Pick or not Drafting Luck are 0.00...
  12. Honestly if that happens I think it's a no-brainer...The Bills simply can't pass on a Kid like Jeffery...I like him better than Blackmon...And I like Blackmon a lot...A REAL lot...
  13. Ummm...No...Not at all...That's why I used the
  14. Irsay is nuts...It's a fact, and there is plenty of evidence out there to back it up...
  15. I'm guessing the 4-3 is going to be back in Buffalo...Assuming KW is back at 100% health...I just think the 4-3 matches our personnel right now MUCH better as far as the front 7 is concerned (yes I know we'll still need OLB's)...Dareus should be an absolute beast as a 4-3 DT....
  16. How quickly Folks forgot the trouble Holmes got into in Pittsburgh...Which was the reason The Jets were able to get him for next-to-nothing in the 1st place...
  17. Wow! That's all I can say... Wow! Oh and...Get er done Ralph...
  18. I think scapegoat is too strong a word concerning Edwards...The Defensive Coaching was absolutely terrible these past 2 Seasons and no one in the NFL deserves to be fired more than Edwards...No one...It's not scapegoating...It's a smart football move...
  19. I'm dead serious about this... The Season is over...it's Black Monday...Why the heck does George Edwards still have a job? I know The Bills don't do anything quickly...But seriously...He should have been gone already...Period...End of story...
  20. He also finished 18th in the new QBR Rankings...Just behind Matt Moore and one spot ahead of Kyle Orton...
  21. I understand what you're getting at, but there is an ocean-span of difference between Fitz and the top tier of NFL QB's...And injuries or not, give me Rodgers, Brady, a healthy Manning, or Brees...and I'll take my chances any day...
  22. You pretty much hit the nail on the head regarding my concerns about Upshaw...I really don't question his ability to play in the NFL...But I'm not certain he has the explosion necessary to be a great NFL Pass Rusher...Heck it can be argued he's not a great College Pass Rusher...He's an effort guy no doubt...But some Scouts say he's going to measure under 6-2 at the Combine and run in the 4.7 Range...To me Upshaw is the type of Prospect you're going to love if you get him at the bottom part of the 1st or early in the 2nd...He'll be a piece of a decent Defense, but not necessarily a star...Kind of like Robert Ayers who I loved coming out of College...But I wonder if Upshaw is truly worthy of #10 overall...I just worry he'll never be a 10-plus Sack guy in the NFL, and he's going to struggle a bit with OLB assignments if he truly is a 4-7-4-8 speed guy... Then I look at a few of the other Prospect that may be around at #10 and I drool...I've had the pleasure of seeing a ton of Alshon Jeffery while living in Charlotte the past 20 years...And that Kid is a special talent...You put him on the other side of Stevie Johnson (ya I know...assuming...) and now NFL Defenses have HUGE problems coming up with ways to stop the Bills...There may be one or two Top LT Prospects available at #10 overall...I just wonder if passing on a top Prospect at another Position in order to Draft a Kid like Upshaw or Coples is going to backfire on the Bills big-time in the end...And unfortunately I've given up on Nix Trading up or down... Too true... And yes I know it's course...I was typing fast and did not check because I was late to work reading this damn board as usual...
  23. Get me LaMarr Woodley at #10 this year Bro and I'm 100% on board... Of course I'm a Michigan Fan so I'm not sure if my vote counts on that one... I hear you and I agree...I would LOVE to see The Bills grab the Defensive help they desperately need in the Pass Rush area...I guess what I'm wondering is if in fact you can get a Woodley type in the 2nd Round this coming Draft that will be every bit as good as the Upshaw or Coples that can only be had at #10 Overall...Though Upshaw is growing on me a bit...We'll see soon enough My Friend...
  24. Of course it's my opinion...It's a message board...Are you new? Go back to sleep...
