  1. Looks like he's not slow... At the bottom of the article it says some Scouts had him between 4.4 and 4.5...But still...He's faster than most thought... Link Another with slower times reported
  2. Exactly... Don't get me wrong...Kuechly is never going to be mistaken for Patrick Willis...He's not a lights-out hitter...He's just not...But he's also not afraid of contact whatsoever...And he's a VERY sure tackler...He's smart, takes good angles, is great in coverage...etc...He just strikes me as a play-smarter-not-harder-type of Kid...There are a million Defenders who try to fly around and make the big hit only to see the ball-carrier bounce off and go for another 10 yards...So...
  3. I wanted to know the favorite between these 3...No one is saying that's who The Bills will Draft at #10...It's a simple Poll...Don't read too much into it...
  4. Thanks for that! Good read... Honestly it's a great question...I'll have to go back to the CB Combine stuff on my DVR to see if I missed something...No question the Kid is a good player though...I think they said 3 year Starter who never missed a Game? Maybe stuff is coming late because he's an early entry?
  5. Lots of Gilmore talk on NFL Network tonight...He seems to be a big-time riser right now...Just about everybody asked said he should go higher than Kirkpatrick...They were raving about Gilmore's toughness and willingness to mix it up...He's a heck of a good athlete...Great size for a CB...And he stayed healthy...Definitely a good Prospect...
  6. He's not a whopping-type hitter...No question...But I do think he's a very sure Tackler...And that's a lost art in the NFL...Missed tackles have KILLED The Bills the last few years...And Kuechly does not miss a lot of tackles... Floyd running away with the Poll btw...
  7. I hear you...My take was basically we already have Freddie who is very good and Lynch who could be good AND we used #12 overall on him...so...Just felt it was not a need...But granted neither was anything like Thriller style-wise...
  8. Urlacher would be nice if The Bills pick him!!! But I hear what you're saying...And I would worry about the same thing...I think a lot of my confidence in Kuechly comes from Mayocks evaluation...I like what I see of him when I've watched him, but Mayock is over-the-top about the Kid...He literally says Kuechly has some of the best instincts he's ever seen coming out...That really says a lot from a guy who can throw around negatives as much as he does positives...And one other thing about Mayock...He will call a Player out in a heartbeat if he does not think the Player is physical...Especially a LB...Have you heard his take on Zach Brown? But he does not say any of those same things about Kuechly...Which tells me Kuechly is not afraid of contact, or initiating it...I guess we'll see in time...I do agree about the Pass Rush thing...I would like to see how he handles Pass Rush on the Outside of a 4-3...Because I think he would start out at OLB in The Bills D...It certainly would be a VERY interesting Pick would it not?
  9. I totally agree about DeCastro... But the Spiller Pick was wrong because we already had Freddie and Lynch...Now that Lynch is gone sure it looks better...But Lynch was here at the time and the Bills had no reason to Trade him until they Drafted Spiller...That being said CJ is looking better and better and he's an absolute rocket in the open field...He's literally the fastest thing I think I've ever seen on the Football field...He's crazy fast...And he's getting better...So...
  10. Seriously? Are you kidding me? Did you watch the Combine and listen to Mayock's take on Kuechly? He LOVES Kuechly...Some Scouts have been SUPER high on him for a while now...I'm still not sure I want The Bills to Draft him...But he's Top 15 in almost any Draft Publication you can find...And he's rated ahead of DeCastro (I'm assuming that is the OG you are referring to) as much as DeCastro is rated ahead of him... And Sardines? WTF does that mean anyway? This is what I just pulled off Google in 2 minutes... PFW - Kuechly 8th, DeCastro 10th Great Blue North - Kuechly 9th, DeCastro 11th WalterFootball - Kuechly 7th, DeCastro 11th Drafttek - Kuechly 7th, DeCastro 9th fftoolbox - Kuechly 14th, DeCastro 13th NFL.com's Bucky Brooks (yes THAT Bucky Brooks) - Kuechly 13th, DeCastro 11th CBS.com - Kuechly 14th, DeCastro 13th Just saying...
  11. Oh I don't think he's necessarily a physically dominating LB by any means...But I don't think he's a soft kitty either... What is pretty much indisputable is the fact that he has great instincts in the Passing game (Mayock says the best he's ever seen coming out), and he makes a ton of tackles... I'm not sold on Kuechly being the guy at #10 either...And I'm not saying he's the next Ray-Ray...But I definitely don't think he's real soft...And I think he's a better player than Poz is, was, and will be, without playing a Down in the NFL...I really mean that...
  12. Really...Not sure I agree...I know Mayock doesn't... NFL.com write-up
  13. Just interested in who the Board favors out of these 3 only...Thanks!
  14. I'd throw Kuechly in for Ingram...I just don't think Ingram fits an NFL 4-3 well enough...But still, I pretty much agree with you...
  15. Levitre is a LT in a pinch only...He's not an NFL regular Starting LT and he will not be OK there if he's moved...This much I promise each and every member of this board...He's not long enough, or athletic enough to be a Starting LT in the NFL...If he was long enough and athletic enough, HE WOULD BE A LT ALREADY...It's not like The Bills are loaded at LT...If Levitre was good enough, he would already be there... Now I do agree that he may very well be as good as Martin or Reiff, especially in their Rookie years...I'm not OK with taking either of them at #10 overall...But I'm not OK with DeCastro either, especially considering there are other players who should be available at #10 that will have FAR more impact (ie...Kuechly, Gilmore, Floyd)...
  16. I see what you're saying...But I don't think any of these OT's that will be available at #10 is worthy of the Pick...I think this years it's more about the players than it is the position...But I still don't see Drafting a RT-only at #10 under most circumstances...It would have to be a hell of an excellent prospect... Especially when you already have a serviceable RT that you just extended...The impact a Player like Kuechly, Gilmore, or Floyd would have on this Team, right now, would dwarf that of another RT who may or may not be better than Pears when it's all said and done...
  17. ^^^ What he said...
  18. The Bills just extended Pears and they love him...He's entrenched at RT...I agree Hairston will be the Starter if Bell is not re-signed...But to the original point, you just don't take an OT at #10 if all you think he's going to be is a RT...And honestly the best I've heard about Reiff, even from those who love the Kid, is it's going to take a couple years minimum (if ever) for him to become an NFL LT...And if that's the case you pass at #10 and move on... I totally agree with the CB or LB at #10...I've REALLY warmed up to the idea of Kuechly at #10...It's tough to find anything negative about the Kid, and Mayock loves him...Not sure The Bills could go wrong with Kuechly or Gilmore...I do think both would have immediate impact on this Defense...Heck I wish we could get both of them...
  19. My guess is he wants more than you think, and maybe it's an injury situation as well...
  20. How do you figure Reiff fills a need if he's not a LT? Mayock is right with everyone else basically...And everything I read about Reiff is Scouts doubt he's an NFL LT...And The Bills DO NOT need another RT... I don't see Martin or Reiff going with the #10 overall pick...There is simply little value there with either...In fact, I could see Martin slide all the way into round #2...Reiff likely goes around 15-20... At this point I'm guessing it's Kuechly if he's there, and Gilmore as the dark-horse...Both would be HUGE boosts to this Defense...I think they wait till the 2nd or 3rd for a WR or OT...Then fill out whatever they don't get in the 1st with one of the 4th Round Picks...
  21. Interesting! Mayock definitely does not seem to think there will be an OT worthy of #10 Overall (outside of Kalil of course)...He said at #10 on Offense it should be Floyd, and on Defense Luke Kuechly (said he can play all 3 LB Positions and play them well), or Stephon Gilmore the CB for South Carolina who he is REAL high on!!!
  22. Exactly...That's all I'm saying...In this situation go head to head as the 1st tiebreaker, if the Teams split go to Divisional finish (that tie-breaker take precedence), then go to SoS after that...It's really not that hard...And it's fair...
  23. Right, leave it how it is because it makes sense... Seriously? 2 Teams in the same Division who played twice...Team #1 beats Team #2 twice by a WIDE margin of points. Team #1 finishes 3rd in the Division by tie-breaker, Team #2 comes in 4th...Team #1 of course picks before team #2...It's logical... Look, I'm not asking to completely change the tie-breaker...But the 1st tie-breaker should be head-to-head, then Division FOR SURE, and maybe even Conference standings...Then go to strength of schedule...Not like it's rocket science for God's sake...A computer figures it out in a nanosecond... I'm sure a simpleton would prefer that to what is logical and correct...
  24. Williams did his suspension the last 4 Games of 2011... Link
  25. The injuries have killed D. Bell's Market value...As well they should...He's made only 65% of his starts in 3 years, and the injuries have hurt his overall performance at times...No team is going to throw Starting LT money at Bell...At least not guaranteed Starting LT money...He truly would be wise to return to Buffalo and resume his career in a familiar Offense, at a familiar position...He's only going to be 28 years old in May...He has time to build his value still...He just HAS to stay healthier... I'm only guessing...But maybe they would cut Brown?
