  1. I'm not sure what Florio's fascination is with this Buffalo story but it seems to me to be the same old, same old...Buffalo is a Small Market with an aging Owner...Ripe for the pickings...blah, blah, blah...I think anyone who truly looks at the Western NY/Southern Ontario Market, I mean really takes the time to understand the dynamics of it, will understand quickly that the Region is FAR better than a few NFL Markets that are struggling...Especially a Market like Jacksonville which never should have got a Team in the 1st place...If the Bills were a consistent winning Franchise I doubt very much it would ever come up...The Attendance would be outstanding and there would be no point...But because we've lost a ton in the past decade I guess we're easy pickings...I know this much...The NFL does not want to leave this Market...So IF The Bills ever moved...and I doubt they ever will...But IF they did it would be to Toronto...The NFL will see to it...There will be a Team in this area because it makes sense financially...Period...End of story...
  2. I'm sweating bullets about St John Fisher this year...My 1st year back in two decades and now Camp is uncertain...PERFECT!!!...
  3. Well what exactly were you expecting? He said he listened to the Florio interview...He was pretty clear that he felt The Bills would be in Buffalo for a long, long, long time...He did completely shrug off the LA angle...Sure the Regional-strategy for The Bills is old news, but that does not make it untrue...I thought the interview was fine...Especially at a time where so much is up in the air...Simon asked everything he should have asked and Russ answered as best he could at the time...
  4. Sounds like a good time for all!!! Fair enough...They don't...At least not as much as they used to...And they have good reason not to...Let's see if Buddy and Chan can do something about it before it's too late...
  5. True...But how much of that is purely because The Bills have basically sucked over the past decade?...And you can't discount the fact that they have been poor at Home too (17-23 in the past 5 years)...After all, who really wants to to go watch a crap Team in poor weather conditions 6-8 times a year? Even the most die-hard Fan is going to burn out on that after a while...There is one cure for The Bills "Small Market" woes...And that cure is to Field a decent Team, and WIN AT HOME!!!
  6. I'm pretty sure whatever lack of "support" there may be today, it's FAR more directly related to the product on the Field than "declining population..." If The Bills are winning they wont have Blackout problems whatsoever...It's really no different than most NFL Teams, outside of the Jags of coarse...Sure the The HUGE Markets will do better...But that does not mean Buffalo can't Sell Out every Game with a decent Team...
  7. Exactly Bro...The last thing this Team needs is to lose Players who make Plays...ESPECIALLY on Defense...
  8. No thank you... Next...
  9. Why? He's sleepwalked through 2 seasons now...Why can't we do the same?...
  10. Well he was a little off... Jackson's 2,516 all-purpose yards were the most by any NFL player in 2009, and the most in the league since 2002...He's #4 all time for all-purpose yards from scrimmage in a single season... I'll just throw my 2 cents in here...Fred Jackson is among the Top 10 most underrated Players in the NFL...He's my favorite Buffalo Bills Player currently and if we had a Team full of Players with Freddie Jackson's attitude we would be unstoppable...He's WAY better than many give him credit for...And we're awfully lucky to have him...If he was in NE he would be a Household Name...
  11. That was an interesting read...Regardless of what anyone's opinion is about the Owners side of this stand-off, this type of publicity will do them NO good at all...It makes them looks REAL bad... I think Bisciotti realized this was not looking too good and made the adjustment...I'd advise the rest of the cheap bastards to follow suit...
  12. I remember a few years ago I did the automatic renewal like always and Week #1 at Game time I was trying to turn on the HD Channels and getting the error Message...I'm completely panicked... ...So I call and they're like..."It's an extra $99 for the HD Package"... Sneaky bastards...
  13. I think if you switched the two QB's your theory would be challenged, even refuted...The Jets protect Sanchez via play-calling so well it goes almost unnoticed...But it's VERY impressive...Sanchez is surrounded by better talent and Coaching than Henne...Sanchez is no more Leader than Henne IMHO...In fact Sanchez is more growing-into that roll whereas Henne was thrust into it...The Vet Leadership on that Jets Team is strong and it's mostly on the Defensive side...Put Henne on that Jets Team and I think his numbers would improve, making him a better QB than Sanchez because in two years as Starters their numbers are VERY similar this far and there is no question which Team has been better overall and has more overall talent... I'll give credit where it's due...Sanchez GREATLY cut down on the BIG mistakes in 2010...Probably because his Coaching Staff made him realize he simply has to play smarter for them to win consistently...Still, all this garbage about Sanchez being a natural winner is a joke...The Jets are a winning Team and at times it's despite the QB play...They have incredible talent all over the field and great Coaching...They Won 4 Games last Year (including the Indy Playoff Game) with a combined QB Rating of 62.98!!! 62.98!!! And they get Wins against Minnesota and Cincy at Home, plus Denver and Indy on the Road...That to me is pretty impressive...No question Sanchez had some very good Games where the Jets won...But Sanchez had 4 Games where he had a QB Rating of 90 or better and the Jets won those Games by an average of 12.25 points...Only the Houston Game was a close Win when he played very well... I think Sanchez could definitely turn out to be one of the better QB's in the NFL...But right now he's no where even close...And it's just my opinion, but I think if Sanchez was on a Team like The Bills, he would be the laughing stock of the NFL...He's truly blessed that he went where he went when he went there...That's all...
  14. Is that the non-HD Rate? Because I thought I paid more than that last Season...Who knows...It ain't cheap...That's for certain...The problem I've always had with the Ticket is, outside of Bills Games, I don't use it...AT ALL...It's one Game a week and then I watch what is Nationally Televised for the most part...Seems to me they could do something cheaper so you can just watch your Home Town Team...But whatever...It still got me through all these years witout missing a Down of Bills Football...Then again...Maybe that's not such a good thing...
  15. That pretty much sums it up... I'm just guessing on the following...But I also think that the Owners who represented the "New Breed" in the previous CBA (Jones, Richardson, Kraft, Snyder, etc)...Those Owners who REALLY pushed the deal the last time around and probably made promises they are now trying to keep...IE..."If this does not work out (the last CBA), we'll fix it next time..." Those type of handshake promises...I think there are some bruised egos amongst those "NEW Breed" Owners. And some of the Old Guard like RW have said "I told you so." So now it is all about getting the power back, and in a way saving face for the Owners like Jones who pushed the last Deal through REAL hard... It seems to me they are simply going to try to make the Union pay this time around for being wrong the last time around...If that makes any sense... Right... I think you're getting a bit defensive and caught up in this and you're not seeing the forest for the trees...I said specifically The NFL is doing better than most Industries in this Economy so I'm not sure exactly why you're getting so excitable...But to say the current Economy is absolutely no factor is ridiculous...The Owners are penny-pincher's...EVERYTHING is relevant to them...Obviously you think the Owners are just a bunch of greedy bastards who are bound and determined to break the Union regardless of the any factors...The most obvious of all factors being they own the freaking Business and want to have control, and protection, of their Profits now and forever...Personally I think there is WAY too much discussion going around about this % or that...They are concerned about the growth potential of Revenues in the future and they absolutely want to take control of this thing and eliminate as many variables as they can... I'm not really for or against either side anymore...I'm just trying to point out what I see as being pretty obvious issues exaggerated or otherwise...That's all...
  16. I think it's WAY more then "they just feel like it..." WAY more...In case it's been lost on you there has been a MAJOR downturn in the Economy over the past couple years...Just thought I'd bring you up to speed... Jerry Jones just made reference to this the other day...Major, monster Corporate Conglomerations are continuously tweaking with the future in mind. And the NFL is no different...You can sit around and talk about how peachy it is all you want, and sure in comparison to a lot of Industries the NFL is doing well...But that's not the way these Owners are looking at it and they are no where near alone...Times are tough...People have less money to spend...The Owners are trying to make certain they get the deal they want so that they continue to make the profits they desire...You may not like it, but they have their reasons...And the current Economic state of the Country is REAL high on the list of reasons...REAL high...
  17. I really don't think they'll use the bigger WR's in that capacity...I could be wrong though... I know it seems a bit ridiculous at this point, but I think they REALLY like Scott Chandler...And I think they're OK with the Kids (Chandler, Stupar, and Nelson) going forward...At least for 2011...But if Nelson or Chandler don't emerge they're going to have to do something about TE either in Free Agency or the Draft sooner or later... I think TE's like QB...They're putting it off for a year and hoping they get lucky...
  18. Dude, I'm completely relaxed...And I'll write anything I want to here...With or without your approval, and completely (possibly even purposely now) disregarding your comfort level...If that made you uncomfortable how in the hell do you get through a day on TSW without freaking out? Just saying...
  19. Normally I don't defend Fitz at all...But really, there is absolutely NO comparison in the talent Fitz and Sanchez played with last year...You just can't compare it...So the whole thing is skewed when comparing the 2 QB's...I think if you put Fitz on that Jets Team last year they may very well have won the SB...And I don't think Fitz is all that great...I just don't think Sanchez is very good at all yet...We'll see if he can take the next step...But with all that talent, and Defenses geared up to stop that running game, a QB Rating of 75.3??? That's simply not very good...Period...It does not take a genius to figure that out...
  20. That remains to be seen... I don't think it's even close to "clearly" though...In fact I think Fitz is the better QB right now but Sanchez has the bigger upside...And don't forget the fact that Sanchez is surrounded by Pro-Bowl caliber Players at almost every Position on Offense...
  21. Thanks for that input...
  22. First off, let me say anyone who knows me on this Board knows I'm not the biggest Fitz Fan around... But what I saw last night on NFL Network made me wonder what in God's name is going on with that classless Jamie Dukes...He fawned all over Sanchez like a school girl with a crush...I mean...I think the fat guy is in love...When Sanchez came walking out Dukes could be heard plainly talking about how good looking Sanchez is...Good looking? OK...I did think it was a Football Show...But whatever... Anyway...Why is it that Dukes so plainly LOVES Sanchez, yet he was actually a bit rude to Stevie Johnson when he was in Studio, outrightly mocking Stevie's support for Fitz? Care to look at the numbers Mr Dukes? I mean...Neither QB is Manning or Brees, but Fitz pretty plainly outplayed Sanchez in 2010 with a supporting Cast that was more like a Jr. College Team compared to the All Star Cast that surrounds Sanchez...I understand Sanchez is 4 years younger and it's assumed he'll continue to get better, but is it not crystal clear he's going to have to get better in order for the jets to win a SB? How is it SO easy for Dukes to push Fitz aside as an also-ran and downgrade the Bills for not Drafting a QB, while he's propping up a Kid with a Career 70.2 QB Rating, and 29 TD's to 33 INT's in 31 Starts??? And I hope it's not because of Sanchez's Win/Loss Record because everyone and their Mother knows how The Jets win Games... I just wish someone would hold Dukes a bit more accountable...That's all...
