  1. My personal formula has always been 6-2 at Home and 4-4 on the Road...I don't like to get specific on Games because, just like we saw last Sunday, you never know...So The Bills are 1-1 on the Road and 2-0 at Home...That means they need to go 4-2 at Home and 3-3 on the Road from this point on to reach 10 Wins...Kinda simple right?
  2. Maybe you should...After all you did write it...
  3. Exactly 100% correct...I'm not sure why a Team that has not made the Playoffs in a decade has to be compared to the SB Champs and The Patsies when they get boned on a call...The Bills are clearly not on that level yet...Most Teams are not...So a call like that when you're NOT an elite NFL Team, on the Road in a natural letdown Game, will always have a bigger effect on the outcome...
  4. Exactly...I'm not sure why some folks around here who should understand this concept don't...It's not easy to Win on the Road in the NFL and this garbage being spewed that The Bills are all of a sudden supposed to be the almighty Patsies or SB Champ Packers and overcome any and all obstacles in order to win on the Road is ridiculous...The truth is The Bills are not on that level yet and everyone knows it...But they were leading by 7 points at the time of the Play, in the 4th Quarter, and they just pushed into Cincy territory...They had CLEARLY snatched back momentum at that time of the Game...It was obvious...And also, I realize there are REAL tough calls to make in the NFL...Even some Replay calls are impossible to determine...This call was not one of those...It was SO cut and dry! How it did not get overturned is still beyond my comprehension... So...Folks can say what they will about The Bills not doing what they needed to do to Win that Game...But it mostly applies to what they did not do AFTER that horrible Call...Because before that they may have been sloppy at times, but they had a 7 point lead in the 4th Quarter with about 8:30 left in the Game on the Road vs. an average NFL Team...That's not easy...Worst case scenario they run a couple more minutes off the clock...But 15 more Yards and they are in FG Range...A couple more 1st Downs and now there is VERY little time left for a Cincy comeback...The idea that this was not THE pivotal moment in the game is just wrong...Was it the only reason The Bills lost? Of coarse not...But it was a HUGE reason nonetheless... This was a natural letdown Game for The Bills, and to that point (before the mis-call) they had gutted it out against a VERY good Defense and had a Touchdown lead midway through the 4th Quarter...Then everything went to hell...It's not making excuses...It's fact...It helped the Bengals Win the Game...
  5. Well...I guess over-generalization is back and as strong as ever around here... Common sense will aid you in in navigating through the muck...
  6. Nobody saying the Bills played well JW...Nobody is saying the call was the sole reason they lost the Game...We're Football Fans...We get it...But it was a HUGE call at a crucial part of the Game...There are plenty of threads about the Defensive and the Offensive problems....This thread is about the officiating and that ridiculous call...It was a pivotal point in the game...Who knows what would have happened after that?...But one this is certain...The bad call helped the Bengals win...As did the Bills Defense...And the Bengals Defense for that matter...
  7. No question about it...Holding, PI...Calls are missed every Game and generally it does even out... BUT...A play that was CLEARLY a Catch on a pivotal 3rd Down Late in the Game that some idiot Ref got wrong on the Field, THEN it was compounded by the Call being held up on replay...Those things are not common at all in today's NFL... And remember, any Pats Fan should know this...The Bills have been dealing with this crap dating back to November of 98 when Henry Jones was called for PI on a Hail Mary Pass in New England on what was supposed to be the Games final play, AFTER the Officials GAVE NE an extra Yard on a 4th Down Pass on the same drive...NE gets one un-timed Down and wins that Game...So there is History here...LONG history...It's part of being a Bills Fan...And if you are a Bills Fan you know exactly what I'm talking about... Not saying that Call was the only reason The Bills lost because it clearly was not...But it was a terrible Call at a pivotal point late in the Game when The Bills had a 7 point lead, had snatched back momentum, and every single thing that could go wrong went wrong after that play... /end rant
  8. Bullspit...And I understand the rules, and the burden of proof in this case...But when does common sense come in? There was all kinds of evidence that it was a good catch...He caught it clean, that much is clear...His knee was down when he was contacted, that was clear...He has clear control of the ball when he goes down, that is clear...His hand is underneath the ball while securing it when he goes to the ground, that is clear...There is a split second when the camera angles may lose the ball, but when Stevie comes up the ball is in the EXACT same position in his hand and clearly in his possession...The ball has to come lose for it to be incomplete...And the ball can touch the ground as long as Stevie has control of it, which he clearly did...There is ZERO evidence of the ball coming lose...zero, none, notta...The fact that this back-judge saw something that pretty clearly did not happen makes no difference, that's why we freaking have replay...And the replay showed, from what I could tell at least, that it was a good catch...It was a bone-job all the way around...
  9. Tasker explained it like this; "The NFL does not want cheap fumbles or turnovers to decide Games." Not saying that is the reason or that I agree...Just saying that's the way Tasker explained it...
  10. Fair enough...Because I do agree the call alone did not cost The Bills the Game...But would you agree it sure as heck did have an effect on the Final outcome? Or that, at the very least it was a turning point in the Game?
  11. How was it not a catch? What did YOU see? Because a few things were obvious...What is CRYSTAL clear is that Stevie caught the ball cleanly, had two knees down, controlled the Ball to the ground, had his hand under the Ball, and came up controlling the ball...There was literally no more than a spilt second where the Ball could have been bobbled and hit the ground...And if Stevie is controlling the ball, then it does not matter if it touches the Ground (the rule they changed a few years back)...He would have had to have LOST control of the Ball for it to be incomplete, and no angle came even close to showing that on replay...None that I saw at least...Did YOU see something different? Because if you did not, then you're just assuming... Look...I'm not saying the call alone cost the Bills the Game, but from everything I saw that was the definition of a good a catch...
  12. One Call does not make a Game...And to the Bungles credit they made a lot of plays in the 2nd Half...But that Call came at such a critical point...The Bills get a 1st Down there and they are closing in on FG range...It completely changed the Game and the momentum...And it seemed like The Bills Players let it get inside their heads...You could just feel it...It was a terrible Call, but it seemed to take the gas completely out of The Bills at that point...It's like they stopped playing after that... REALLY hard to believe it happened like that...I watched that replay like everyone else did a million times...I just don't see how they let it stand as incomplete...I still can't believe it...Tough way to lose a game they should have won (and I mean The Bills should have won based on the fact that they are a better Team, not necessarily based on the way they played today)...Terrible way to lose actually...
  13. I'll admit to being wrong about Fitz and his upside... I'll also admit to being thrilled I was wrong!!! GO BILLS!!!
  14. Nah...He would have made it worse...
  15. I'm not sure... Would you call the #11 Pick overall a bust just because he got schooled all day by a 5th Round Rookie? I'd say McLovin' has been a bit of a disappointment to this point...I'd say that's fair...
  16. I'm in!!! TW Suite and...A FIELD PASS!!! So psyched!
  17. I think the 2 Teams are closely matched with The Bills being a bit Bigger and The Raiders having more overall Team speed... BUT...The Raiders are coming off a Monday Night ROAD Game and traveling to Buffalo NY for a 1:00 PM start...That's a tough spot in any week, not to mention the fact that it's The Bills Home Opener...That's kind of brutal... I see this Game close for the 1st Half...The Bills pull away late... Buffalo - 27 Oakland - 14 Go Bills!!!
  18. Well of coarse you're 100% right about Evans and his impact on The Ravens Offense Simon...But that still does not help me considering I took him in Fantasy, started him Sunday, and got a great big goose-egg in return for it...Hopefully Teams will realize soon they can't roll Coverage to Lee's side and he'll burn them silly for me... We'll see...
  19. Nothing quite like the 2011 version of TSW...It just keeps getting better year in and year out...
  20. Exactly... And why in the world would it surprise ANY Football Fan that The Colts would be Scouting Luck? They have already been Scouting him for two years...So has every other NFL Team...And would The Colts be wrong to take him if they are at #1 Overall next Draft? Why exactly is this News would be My primary question...
  21. Not to mention a QB that Passes for over 500 yards in the Game they happen to be covering...
  22. Based on what I've heard about the way Carroll has turned over that Roster(Of the 53 players on Seattle's Roster, 26 joined the team in 2011. Last year, Seattle began the season with 27 players in their first year with the franchise)even after a Playoff appearence (and one Playoff win), I can only come up with one logical explanation...He wants Luck REAL, REAL, REAL bad...I mean...he'd sell two of his three Kids for him (He would obviously keep at least one Kid right?...he's not the devil... )...
  23. I think it's pretty simple whenever we're talking about The Bills and Playoff possibilities...First and foremost, the Bills MUST win consistently at Home...They already can finish no worse than 1-7 on the Road...So win every Home Game and they're no worse than 9-7 right?... Now I fully understand The Bills will probably not go 8-0 at Home...But they will also more than likely Win a couple more Road games...So for me the key is STILL to go no worse than 6-2 at Home, and from this point on go no worse than 3-4 on The road...That's 10-6 minimum and gives them a pretty good chance at a Playoff spot...So if they do what they need to and beat the Raiders next Sunday The Bills only have to go 5-3 at Home, and 3-4 on The Road, to reach 10-6... Play well at Home and it's all do-able IMHO...
  24. Seriously Kids...I've been admittedly negative about this Bills Team and Fitz as our Starting QB for a while now...And thank the good Lord above if I was wrong...There is nothing I would like more than to be wrong about that... But it's threads like this that keep me from Posting as much as I used to around here...How could anybody not be thrilled with yesterday's Game? Who the fug cares what anybody thought a week ago good or bad?...The Bills went out on the field and gave each of us evidence that they MAY be OK...And they sure as hell were the better Team, on the road no less... So instead of worrying about who said what and whose a real fan and all that 3rd Grade crybaby crap can we not actually keep the conversation towards Football (you know...the stuff that actually matters on and off the field) and get back to being a well educated Football Board the way we were years and years ago? Just saying...GO BILLS!!!
