Exactly... Consistency in PI calls is really the issue is it not? If one crew is going to call it tight then they better call it tight on every play...To me, and yes I am biased, the play you are talking about vs. Freddie was textbook PI...Heck the Defender actually knocked Freddie off balance with his back turned and the ball well in the air...The whole thing has gotten to be a joke...I know Rich Eisen has spoken to Periera about this for years now...Some of these are BIG game changing calls...Something needs to be done...

Why? Are you the official thread closer or is it because Williams and Dareus have been so dominate it's not up for conversation on a Football Board? This is the type of response that is exactly what is wrong with this Board in comparison to way back when...In the "old days" around here we fought scratched and clawed all the time...But we had Football conversations...We gave our opinions and we had back and forth...Now threads are littered with this type of response when someone asks a legitimate question about Personnel...And it is a legitimate question especially concerning Dalton vs. Williams...Williams looked terrible in pre-season, not much better before he got hurt, and now he's still out...Dalton is a ROOKIE starting QB who is showing promise and seems to be improving every Game...So you'd rather have Williams the next time Fitz takes a shot to the ribs? Plus, because this Team started 5-2 we can't question the Orginization who took a RB in the Top 10 with Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch already on the Roster?... Okey doke...

Approach or not the Jets simply have The Bills number big time...103-32 over the last three Games is all we really need to know... They own us...

The Ball can hit the ground as long as it's being controlled...It was called an INT on the field which means there needs to be indisputable evidence that the Ball hit the ground before Wilson was able to secure it...It looked pretty clear to me that he got the hand underneath to secure it...Indisputable evidence to overturn? No way... That being said it is pretty clear the Jets are a terrible match-up for the Bills and they simply own them now...Still...They don't need the help they got...And they got a lot of help...

You think it's mostly preparation? The Bills have been outscored by the Jets 103-32 in the past 3 Games...I think it's a bit more than preparation...It's a HUGE match-up problem for The Bills and probably the biggest reason they tried to get bigger and more physical in the off-season...Looks like there is still a ton of work to do on that end...The Jets currently OWN The Bills...It's not even close...

I like it! I think you could simply Draft Players from LSU and Alabama's Defense alone and have a hell of a good Draft...What an incredible amount of Defensive talent on both Teams...Just awesome!

And if you're going to call PI that close throughout the Game the play that Fitz tried to hit Freddie long along the sidelines was every bit as much PI as the McLovin one...The Jets DB has his back turned and stiff arms Freddie, actually knocking him off balance...Terrible no-call there, especially considering how they called the others... All that being said The jets pretty much dominated this Game...They really did not need the help...But they got it anyway...

I disagree... The Jets shot themselves in the foot a TON in the 1st Half...The 1st Jets Dive alone was embarrassing...Sanchez completely bailed The Bills out on that one...This Game could have easily been 40-11...Both sides were outplayed badly today...The Jets pretty much did what the wanted to out there...They are just a bad match-up for The Bills and that's going to be a huge problem going forward for who knows how long unless The Bills can figure out a way to get more wins on both sides of the line of scrimmage vs. The Jets...It looked like men vs. boys out there...And it's been that way vs. the Jets for a while now...

I think it's pretty clear by now The Jets are a TERRIBLE match-up for this Bills Team...It's VERY clear...It's a match-up thing...The Bills weaknesses play into the Jets strengths and vise versa...The only thing that can be taken from today is the fact that The Bills have a Team in their Division that OWNS them...And the Team is no longer the Patsies (though one Win at Home coming back from 21 points does not necessarily mean that mess is over either)...The Bills are lucky the rest of the NFL is not the Jets...If it was they would go 0-16...They better figure out a way to get more physical on both sides of the line or this thing is going to continue year, after year, after year...Luckily we only have to play them twice a year, and starting off 0-2 does not mean the Playoffs are out of the question...Heck maybe we can start dominating Miami to cancel it out...

And plenty who find the need to remind us of that fact incessantly...

That's for sure...Up until today I have to admit I've been just a little disappointed...Not to say he's played poorly because that would be inaccurate...But I thought the Kid's presence alone would make The Bills a better than average Defense...And before today I'd say they were definitely less than average... I'm not going to get down on Dareus though...He's the least of my worries...

Not hard to understand considering he was drafted to be a 3-4 DE...This OLB thing with Carrington is a mystery still... I'll say it again...Troup, Carrington, Moats, Batten, Darius, Willims, Shep, etc...You would think one of these guys by sheer dumb luck would already be standing-out...Up to this point though...Not so much...

Was it worth it? Um...YES!!!! In so many ways it's hard to fully explain...The Bills went out and said to the rest of the NFL that they were dead serious about being a Championship Team...It helped a LOT that they had a TON of talent already on the Roster...No question about it...But that Trade as much as any other Personnel move made The Bills legit Contenders...It was a magnificent move...

Like I said in a previous thread, I find it interesting that Gailey seems to get 1000% out of a ragtag bunch of castaways and late Round Picks while Edwards REALLY struggles with what should be FAR more talent...The wealth of Draft Picks he's received over the past 2 Years, plus he inherited Kyle Williams, George Wilson, Kelsay, and others... Personally I think the guy is WAY over-matched on almost every Sunday...I'm not saying The Bills have the best talent in the league on Defense...But there is talent...No way should they be as bad as they are...And I think a lot of it is Edwards...Just my opinion of coarse...

Dareus has played OK...He's no Suh, but he's not bad either...He's Starting and contributing, but that's expected of the #3 Overall Pick...To be honest I was expecting a little more by now... Then there's Troup, Carrington, Moats, Batten, Williams, Sheppard, Searcy, White, Rogers, and Jasper...Carrington looks like the best of this bunch...But besides a blocked FG, and a decent play here and there, he really has not done much...Still I think he'll be a decent Player longterm...Shep does look like he may be a good ILB in time...I like that Kid, but who knows at this point? Troup? UGH!...A freaking 2nd Round Pick...Rob Gronkowski was the next pick... ...Think The Bills could use Sean Lee? Could have had him too...I know, I know, Troup is a pure 3-4 Nose...Let's see who Starts vs. Washington...My guess is it will be Kellen Heard...Moats has offered some pressure every now and again...But it takes injuries for him to get much PT...Batten stepped up...in Pre Season...Williams was not even close to being ready for the Nickle or Dime coming out of Training Camp...It's like he had a target painted on his helmet when he was in there before he got hurt...He made one nice play in Pre Season and the rest of the time pretty much got torched...The rest?...meh... I'm not saying there is not talent here, nor am I saying they can't turn it around and have a few of these Kids step-up...But so far to say this group has been a disappointment overall is an understatement to say the least...

A Pass Rusher that can play OLB in a 3-4, or DE in a 4-3 is definitely P1 at this point...IMHO of coarse...A top Cover Corner would be a close 2nd...
