  1. Literally every person I've heard that sounds like they have a legit understanding of Cleveland's cap situation has said the exact same thing. It's not the off season yet, and they are going to do plenty I'm sure, but a pre Draft Garrett trade puts them at 38 million over going into 2025 right now. That's a lot to cut just to be even. According to Spotrac a post 6/1 trade gives them almost 5M in savings! Of course they have to wait for that... But it's a big net difference. Anyway...
  2. If there is a God... He will finally give me the DK Metcalf to the Bills redemption arc I so strongly deserve...
  3. I pretty much agree... With Mykel Williams it all depends on how much the injury held him back in 2024, because in 2023 he looked like a potential top 5 pick. I think there are some potential sleepers if they hit just right... Specifically Landon Jackson who I think has a really good upside. I can see him turning into a monster in the NFL, and I can also see him turn out with an Epenesa-like floor... That's the gap I think... I also really like Josaiah Stewart as a PR specialist... I don't care about his size. Just get him in there to rush the QB... There are some that really like Kyle Kennard, and I think David Walker is another undersized Edge with PR upside. Anyway... I do feel like there is a spot in this Draft where the air kind of comes out at DE, it thins out, and a lot of these guys are undersized... It depends on where you Draft them I guess.
  4. I definitely don't imagine he'll make it out of Day 2. He way too good. He's undersized...and maybe he's just going to be a situational guy...but as a pass rusher purely I'm not sure he's got many peers in this Draft. Before he measured a lot of folks were thinking he could go as high as the mid 2nd, but now I think he settles in somewhere in the 3rd. The Bills can move around a bit too. We'll see... I really like Stewart a lot. There were games this year where down after down he stood out. And I'm really trying to watch Grant and Graham. But Stewart is out there just twisting big OT's like pretzels... He did get nicked up last year and that's not going to help his stock considering his size, but I just can't see him getting to the Bills in the 4th... If he does, please let them grab him...
  5. Oh... It was definitely Lanning... He even picked on my little sister when she had him for 7th grade Social Studies... He was terrible... My Father wanted to kill him...lol We gotta stick together Bro... Fairport Rules!!!
  6. I just saw that about Santini on FB the other day... I played Varsity Baseball and had Lanning... He was a total dick to me...lol... Maybe I deserved it....
  7. Must be a Fairport thing... I'm class of 83...
  8. I hear ya... And I'm only talking about a trade up from the 4th to the 3rd when we already have two 4th Round Picks... So going from say 108 to 98 will probably cost one of our 5th's or something like that. I would prefer a trade down in the 1st like last year where it costs nothing, or to just take him at 108... But I'm a little nervous about that now that he posted the 4.30... I'm actually a little nervous about the 3rd Round tbh... I totally understand there is plenty of risk involved with him. But I think unlike a Gabe Davis-type, or worse a Justin Shorter-type prospect the upside is almost limitless.
  9. I just love the idea of Drafting that kid. I've had my eyes on him since Oregon mainly because of the size/speed thing... Just kind of watching his progression. Most of the prospects like that tend to flame out, get injured, etc... But he's made it this far and he's still almost 6-5 with 4.3 flat speed... I feel like the Bills need that one-trick-pony big time and Thornton can give you that as a Rookie playing maybe 20-25% of the downs, and then you coach him up from there. He'll be cheap... He'll fill out the room... I would take him in the 3rd (in a trade up like you said or maybe if we trade down in the 1st to add a 3rd) and not even bat an eye... But I'm also insane so...
  10. I've been telling my Nephew about him since before the season and all year I'm like... "Why is he not playing more?" It drove me crazy... I have literally scoured the internet to try to figure out why. I can't find anything. He said in his Combine interview he put the team 1st this year and things really turned around for him. I'm not sure what that meant, but again I can't find anything about him being a bad character guy, or anything like that... He did have some minor injuries. I realize they don't run many routes at Tennessee so every time I see a Tennessee WR I pause. But Thornton is prototype physical in just about every way. And he's made big plays at Oregon and Tennessee... It's not like his production was bad last year, and that QB is still young, but you look at the guy and wonder why he's not going for 1200 yds and 15 TD's?... How they did not manage to get him the ball more is a mystery to me. The other thing I would say is he's not really a YAC guy. Most of the time when DB's play way off (and they do a lot...they are well aware of his speed) they were able to come up and bring him down after a modest gain. But he's not bad at all against press. He has some tools there. And he's just flat out fast. It's natural and it's sudden... A 1.51 10 yard split at almost 6-5 is pretty good...As a physical package only, I'm not going to say anything beyond that because I feel like there HAS to be something we don't know... But as a purely physical package he is exactly what the Bills need because if he's on the field teams HAVE to respect his ability to get deep FAST... I absolutely love the idea of Thornton and if I knew he would be there in the 4th Rd I would just wait on WR... I like his upside that much... But he's a project in every sense of the word... And I don't know how well the Bills will be able to manage that while trying to win a SB. I'd like to see them try though.
  11. Greg Cossell's breakdown of him on One Bills Live was really interesting... Caught my attention... He really likes Jackson. He said, in this Draft at least, he's definitely a 1st Round talent. Pointed out that he took a majority of his snaps at the 4-tech so it's possible to assume he will be even better outside in an even front. He even mentioned without going too crazy, Jackson gives him some Maxx Crosby vibes... The Bills have met with Jackson throughout this process. I think most have felt all along he was going to be a mid-late 2nd... But now I'm not so sure.
  12. He's a better prospect than Gabe in almost every conceivable way...
  13. I was really impressed with Higgins today... He had the white gloves on and that ball was disappearing in his hands on the gauntlet drill... Looked effortless... He's been super productive... The consensus board has him at 72, but I have a feeling NFL teams like him more than that... Daniel Jeremiah certainly seems too.
  14. I think it largely depends on the WR's that go before him. Like I said I have a feeling the WR's are going to push up, not down...But right now I would say he's pretty solid in the mid-2nd area...
  15. Ya... I've got him at 47 overall right now... And I feel like the WR's are going to push up not down... Especially in the 2nd...
  16. Elic Ayomanor (4.44) really helped himself today... He's a good player...
  17. Yep... Say goodbye to Mr. Golden...
  18. I remember hearing about Bills Scouts down in SC to see Emmanwori this past season. I know this is no surprise to Beane. The SC training staff was saying he was running 4.35's in preparation for the combine. He's a crazy freak of an athlete. But he also played a lot of football in College and took a big step this past season. I think in the running game he's a potential game changer. Big, fast, and explosive, Emmanwori could turn into a sideline to sideline TFL machine. He's the kind of player that can change your Defense vs the Screen Play if he develops well. Like change it forever... In the passing game it's interesting. I think he can cover most TE's one on one now. Zone is going to probably take more time in the NFL, but it's not like he was terrible. He'll do Rookie stuff in coverage I'm sure, but man what may be in years 2 and on... It's going to be fascinating to see where he goes in this Draft. If he gets to 30 and the Bills take him, how can you blame them? You're swinging for the fences... But it would REALLY shake up the direction of this Bills D going forward. I would hope they know how to use him. Because I'm not even sure about how tbh...
  19. How high will Jihaad Campbell go? Is he on the Micah Parsons path? Play him all around for a year or two until he grows into a dominant Edge? He's a really interesting prospect with crazy upside and a solid floor.
  20. I've got him at 42 overall right now and I don't think I'm going to budge much. It's impossible not to recognize his upside. I really did expect him to test well. He's going to give these huge OT's fits on the outside. But he's 6-2 1/2-248... I'm just not convinced he's a 3-down player, especially in Buffalo unless they really start thinking outside the box. I don't know... I'm on the fence about him at 30... It's putting a lot of trust in McD/Babich to get it done. And I would think Von would have to be gone. But I think he could also easily have a 10 sack season as a Rookie in the right Defense. He is that good.
  21. Walker? He'll probably be there at 56 and 62... He's massive, but he plays super... SUPER high... He's going to need a ton of work. He's got a great physical package to work with. But I see zero bend in his game right now. I've seen a million guys over the years that scouts say play too upright, but I've never quite seen a a prospect where it jumps off the tape the way it does with Walker. Maybe because he is so tall...
  22. Stewart, who I absolutely love... Measured in at barely 6-0-248 with 32.75 arms today... The measure process is going to be tough on him. Not sure how testing will go because he absolutely is explosive as a pass rusher. He comes with a plan and gives big guys fits. He is a heck of a good player who may fall to a bargain point due to his measurables. The rest of them make sense. Including Paul who I'm guessing they see as a 4th-5th Rd possibility for that match-up LB to bring in as Milano ages out. A million percent the Bills will have at least a 3rd Rd Grade on Paul... He's their type... But realistically he's a small match-up LB with average speed. Will Johnson? What are they up to?
  23. I should say too that when I watched Royals the first time he gave me Rashee Rice vibes... Royals is more compact, and I think he's faster...we'll see... But that's the 1st name that popped into my head... And College Rashee Rice not KC Rashee Rice...
