Don't draw - it's a felony
nick in* england replied to Fezmid's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Huh - drawing a picture to be mean is intent to kill?? Did they show the kid in question the drawings? How is it intent to kill by drawing a picture? However you look at it it is absurd. I know I used to draw pictures of stick people running over people, of stick people mortally wounding other stick people with swords, knives and all sorts. It's just what kids do. The parents and school need to be involved at that stage to talk to the kids abotu WHY they drew it - what it means to the kid - and why that sort of thing is wrong. My mum would tell me it's wrong - the same should happen in this case. It's not about age of reason at all. If we say age of reason is 7 - why don't we let kids drink at age 7, have sex at age 7, etc? -
Yeah I think they are full of crap. I lost over 75 lbs over a 7 month period when I did WW before. I was losing 2.5 - 4 lbs a week - sometimes as much as 5... when I got down to a fairly decent weight the losses came a lot slower - about .5 - 1 lb per week. If you have plenty to lose it will come off. The stuff that is there for the long run is harder to knock off and take a lot of disciple and more importantly excersize to shift it. Excersize is important else you will burn off lean muscle tissue if you don't do anything with it - and thats when it gets dangerous.

I pay weekly - it's about £5 - so $12 or so... May be different over there tho.

I dunno 16st sounds heavy to me... and losing a stone would be great. I am halfway there! Aiming for 13st 6lbs. Thats 188 - I'd take 190. I am 6'0 and broad anyway - so can carry additional weight. Gotta get ripped at the same time tho - I want guns like Ed Hochuli come next spring.

Oh and it is sponsored by Coors and Rbk!

Yeah I am a finalist to win tickets... Well - basically - lots of people are finalists. It is an invite only event run by the NFL and they open it out to member of NFLUK.com to sogn up for tix. But to get your 2 tix, you need to enter a tie breaker question. I have to fill in an application form, and give how many TDs Peyton scored this year and a tiebreak Qn in case demand is too high.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH - gasp - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 10 stone? I've never been 10 stone. I think I was born heavier than 10 stone!! 1 Stone = 14 lbs. Thus 229.5lbs = 16st 5.5lbs. I'm aiming to be under 16 again in 3 weeks max.

I know - its a lot to lose huh? Last time I did WW i lost the same amount each week (about 2.5-4lbs a week) and lost a total for 75lbs. I but 45 back on but not until I had stayed at a low weight for over a year - only when I went back to chocolate and eating what I liked did I put weight back on. I excersize at the gym 4 times a week doing cardi as well as a weights programme and play football (undersized injury prone Guard) on Sundays... Thanks for the concern - but I am ok!

I am on weight watchers... I love it.

OK fella - how did this week go? I lost 3 more lbs - down to 229.5... Thats 7lbs lost in 2 weeks.

Superbash... NFLUK hosts an annual Superbash party at a London nightspot - it is a HUGE event. To get 2 tix I need to come up with a 10 word tiebreaker phrase... Anyone got any ideas? It's at the Hippodrome, hosted by Vernon Kaye, attended by 11 Panthers Cheerleaders and pop act Jamelia.... Have a go...

OT - Where is the latest SEX thread
nick in* england replied to #89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and there was me thinking you would say "seeing to"... Ahem Anyhoo. -
Over here only 2 (maybe three) Premier League football clubs have TV Network channels dedicated to them: Manchester United (MUTV) and Chelsea (Chelsea TV). I believe Newcastle United, Arsenal have plans for a network channel - but they do not exist yet. In Scotland, Rangers and Celtic both offer a channel - but it is special subscription TV... Also - in all of these cases (apart from MUTV I think) the programming is not 24/7. Rather they show stuf from 1800-0100 everyday, match highlights on a Monday (after a Saturday game) and classic games wthroughout the year. Smaller clubs do not have the fan base to support such an idea - and a lot of the revenue from the existing channels comes from abroad, especially South East Asia where they drink up English soccer. NFL cities tend to struggle outside their own area marketing-wise, and individual teams tend not to have a significant individual following globally (apart from Dallas, Washington, and NY Giants) so would struggle to find sufficient income to fund a TV channel.

OT: Where do you buy football gear?
nick in* england replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks Stojan... Anyone else? -
I need some new gear and equipment and I want to source it from the US to take advantage of good exchange rates and lower prices. Anyone have any good websites they use to buy gear/equipment for football, Specifically I want new game pants, socks, under armour tees, shoes and shock doctor mouthguard.

DON'T take the pay cut Drew...
nick in* england replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya know what irritates me the most about Drew Bledsoe? It's the fact that if you think anything other than he's a steaming heap of crap and the Bills should cut him you seem to be tarnished as less of a Bills fan. It's ridiculous to see the vitriolic comments directed at Fezmid for example for saying that in all likelihood he will be back next season and may or may not be our starting QB. To me that's just a simple statement of fact. Look outside the numbers on the field and his cap hit if we cut him, supposed benefit as a mentor to JPL, etc suggest that it's more than likely that he'll be brought back. Should he be brought back? I think he should, but with a view that as JP gets more ready to play he should be given every opportunity. If Drew wanted desperately to play football beyond next season as a starter, I think it might be smart to allow him to seek a trade, thus freeing him of our contract obligations. He's not worth a R1 pick, so we'd be looking for veteran talent and I can't think of a team who'd pull the trigger on that. I for one would like to see him take a paycut. He's had his money now and must realise it's time for him to think about winding things up. A paycut does the right thing for the Bills organisation and potentially allows Drew to renogatiate a more flexible deal based on a variety of factors. But lets get one thing straight - and get rid of some of these ridiculous posts I am seeing. Wanting to keep DB on the roster next year DOES NOT make you any less of a Bills fan, does not mean you want to see the Bills lose, does not mean you think Drew was NONE of the problems we faced this year. It seems we have a bunch of Al Davis's here who see the world in Black and White - or in this case With Drew or Without Drew. Stop it. -

As promised - here is what I would like to see Here is my attempt. I would keep the Helmet exactly as it is right now - but like Rutka, I would remove the light blue and go with a more simple 3 stripes on the helmet. Blue White Blue. I've gone for a darker royal blue that I think should be closer to the modern Bills colour than the royal of old. In truth - the current home jersey is great - so I didn't want to change too much aside from extending the side stripe up a little. I think this ties in the charging Buffalo style of the logo without actually having the logo on the uni. Additionally - you'll notice that the pants, jersey combos are all monochrome - to me this just looks cooler.
