  5. "has a 13.50 ERA in his past 10 games, while Reed has allowed opponents to bat .368 after the sixth inning. " Gotcha "Four more runs off Dye's single, a sacrifice fly by Juan Uribe and an RBI single by Scott Podsednik gave the Sox their fourth game with double-digit runs, and their second win over the Devil Rays this season. 7. Wow - he did?? Where did he place??
  8. My reactions at that point...
  9. hehehe a double 'faus paus' now...! you spelled faux pas incorrectly.
  10. I don't know yet how close it was, but I am pretty sure Chirac is the reason that Paris lost. His remarks, and the cloud of fraud hanging over him poisoned the Paris bid and with so many kids, celebrities, sportsmen&women, Tony Blair and The Queen showing support for London the French were starting to look a little bit, well, French. And nobody wants that.
  11. The brilliant thing is - my office on Whitehall has a view right down into Horseguards Parade, so I won't need tickets - i'll just peer outta my window!!
  12. That wouldn't bother me so much... Superbowl and World Cup - my boys have to do it once each in their life time. LETS GO BUFFALO.....! C'MON ENGLAND....!
  13. So what's not to like? Next time any of you are in England I'll take you to a Cricket Match... It's superb.
  14. bert - is that you? from nfluk.com?? Cricket rocks. Hope we win the Ashes and beat down on those cocky Ozzies.
  15. Thats ASTON VILLA. They play at VILLA PARK.
  16. You didn't want the games? Some Londoners don't - but I personally love the idea and will gladly pay the extra 24p tax to fund it (about 50c)... It's brilliant. Britain really rallys around events like this like no other country. We can look forward to a MAJOR national party in the UK in Summer 2012
  17. WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! MY Office has just gone nuts... The whole city is having a party right now!
  18. NYC out in the first Ballot.... I REALLY hope London wins it now... I guess the whole Jets stadium thing just didn't work out for NYC
  19. Well - much as I want to support soccer I can't... I'll watch - it's my national game - but I wont go out of my way to watch it like I would Football... Then again - you lot will never experience anything like being in the crowd at Wembly Stadium to watch England play... or gathered round TVs watching another vain attempt to win the World Cup... Actually there are two things that would have me UTTERLY JUBILANT in this world: 1. A Bills Superbowl win. I would cry and be sick. 2. An England World Cup win. I would cry and be sick. I have tears at the thought of both.
  20. I brought this up a few days ago... My thread
  21. You need to see it big screen purely for the effects and sound. If you have a killer system at home I'd say DVD is OK - but the bottom line is this is a BIG SCREEN movie. DVD won't do it justice - the plot holes will stick out more.
  22. That's what BF uses to test the temperature just after he added the Pickle juice... DING
