  1. 3 tube stations have been evacuated. They believe there may have been explosions.
  2. If Teddy has any sense - he;ll quit football all together and get a gig on TV
  3. What a crock. I'll file this one under C for utterly useless.
  4. Frm the size of the vision cone for JP it looks like he's going to be rated about a 73 overall... not good.
  5. 89 or cl or Aussie
  6. I got a feeling about Gates - notwithstanding my ?mark about his longer term durability/stamina.
  7. However you define it - I'm serious as cancer, when I say rhythm is a dancer.
  8. We had a real-life cheerbabe here? Wouldn'ta made all those derogatory remarks about the Jills if I knew that THAT'S how Teflon Tom could predict our every move............ I didn't PM - just said Hi in open forum.
  9. Is it OK for me to just sh*t myself and start praying?
  10. I remember having my nail clipper confiscated one year. I clearly was going to cut the pilots nails down to the quick in a terrorist motivated attack.
  11. OK - but do you agree it is too early to project him as the starter - per the CBS article? We just have no measure of his ability - so how anyone is able to predict he'll start seems far fetched. That's why I am predicting Ron Edwards starts.
  12. Of course. But last year counts in terms of how we measure performance this year, i think.
  13. So why shoot themselves in the foot?
  14. Becuase Drew stunk it up last year - meaning JP has less to accoplimsh to go beyond thet performance than TA does to surpass Big Pat.
  15. I just don't see why the pundits would annoint TA the starter with no experience behind him. Sure he has to play - but I'm not going to be as high on his as, say JP, becuase the drop off from PW to TA is greater than that from DB to JP.
  16. The Vikes are really a shabby organisation IMO. How can you make this sort of blunder? It's not season defining - but keep you house in order - play by the rules and you'll be better off for it. They now face the chances that they will be scouted by 31 teams for their ENTIRE camp. I know you still have to go out and beat them on gameday - but this could give a significant edge to opposition. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
  17. No sweat - and therein is my concern. We are high on a guy who sat out most of his rookie year... And did nothing when he did play. Inactive vs. Jax. (9/12) Saw first regular season action in NFL against Oak. (9/19). Did not record a tackle. Bye (9/26). Inactive vs. NE (10/3), at NYJ (10/10), vs. Mia. (10/24), at Bal. (10/24), vs. Arz. (10/31), vs. NYJ (11/7), at NE (11/14), vs. STL (11/21), at Sea (11/28). Saw first game action since week 2, but did not post a tackle at Mia. (12/5). Inactive vs. Cle (12/12). Saw action on special teams at Cin. (12/19). Inactive at S.F. (12/26). Saw limited action on the defensive line and action on special teams vs. Pitt. (1/2). The above is not a ringing endorsement of a guy we all expect to be our replacement for our All Pro DT. Just seems really unlikely to me. Don't believe the hype until it's proven.
  18. I don't recall TA being hurt at all. He was just not activated.
  19. I think he will stay... So there
  20. I don't know. A new DT in the middle probably means that teams will try to get up in Fletch's face a lot more. One of his weaknesses IMO is the hit and shed. I've seen London get blown down by opposing OL on many an occasion, and with a new DT teams will try to expose this. I think we'll see a few LESS tackles if anything.
  21. REALLY god point - I wouldn't mind a bit of the Pats example in Buffalo. TD and MM should say to the guys - we'll pay you fairly, but if you want MEGA money over success that you're free to go. If you have the hunger and you want to be a part of this organisation that has SERIOUS ambitions to win a championship then take our offer and let's hit the field.
  22. Ok having read this - my take on the Edwards/Anderson situation is this: Ron Edwards should be the starter until Anderson proves he can step up. I know the Bills are high on him, but not to get on the field last season really leads me to question how well developed a guy like him might be. He was inactive for many games - and is only 300lbs. He might have upside - but us fans really haven't seen any of that. I'd have to go back and see how he performed in pre-season last year to evaluate him as a raw rookie - but Edwards has show me he has got some skills to perform. Remember back to the Snow Bowl - Edwards blew up in the backfield spectacularly to knock Ray Lucas out of the game. He had some very good games partnering Pat Williams in 2003 and I think deserves to be the lock at DT next to the Keg until Anderson shows his worth. The only problem I see here is that Anderson is light at 300, and Ron Edwards is a pass rushing DT, so we really don't know how well these guys are going to do against the run. My money is on Edwards to be the better DT for the first period of the year.
  23. If you want to go away from the mainstream a little and try something new, I recently came accross a guy from Tennessee who has a load of free downloads on music.downloads.com. His name is Brendon James Wright - and a track called Serene is a lovely acoustic song that would be appropriate kyrically and has a timeless quality to it that would last from babyhood to adulthood. Go here to download it: http://music.download.com/brendonjameswright
