I'm in a spot. I moved to a new job internally 6 months ago on a temporary basis. The woman who brought me in did me a huge favour by doing so and saved me from taking a temporary drop in pay and a period of 'gardening leave'. Problem is I am now bored of what I do here and want to move on. She's been off sick for a couple of weeks and in that time I have had 2 interviews for other jobs internally - without her knowing. Problem is if my interviews don;t pan out I want to stay here cos it is cushy. So what do I tell her? She thinks she has got me until the new year and I want out before then...

Well the story on Lorn is that he WILL NOT be cut this season, but sadly cannot be activated from the Practise Squad this year as his contract stands right now. He's only played in about 5 games of football in his life, so the Raiders won't be quick to activate him, but he's a great project for them. Art Shell picked out Lorn at National Player training camp for NFLE and has carried thru the interest in him, hence the Raiders have picked him up..... He's a monstor of a kid - aged 20, 345lbs 6'3. He hasn't been timed in the 40 but he's so fast off the line at DT, and is learning to use his hands and feet to good effect. If Warren Sapp and Ted Washington have patience they can mould an incredible player out of this British kid... I'm so happy for him. If ever he does get cut and picked up by the Bills - I'll consdier it the best piece of luck evere - he'll be able to sort me out with all the inside info and gear and stuff

This guy Lorn is a friend of mine - aged 20 - who is the YOUNGEST EVER NFL PLAYER. He just got signed to Oaklands practise squad.... I've trained against Lorn for the past 2 seasons and he is now training with Warren Sapp and Ted Washington - IT IS HUGE. Keep your eyes peeled for a young Brit called Lorn Mayers - could be HUGE soon.

OK So Paula isn't the answer - but there are a ton of other nationalities that have produced world beating athletes - Kenyan distance runners for example - that deserve consideration for the 'best ever athlete' title... I'd certainly include Daley Thompson as a front runner - ahead of any American Footballer, Baseball player and ot a lesser extent Ice Hockey Player. The best evere athlete moniker should go to an athlete whose profile was so much larger than players who are/were American-centric. This way the impact of Jordan's athleticism cannot be overlooked, but a guy like Babe Ruth can.

This thread appears to be about the greatest AMERICAN athlete if all time.....

I get a feeling Ricky is going to be a much wiser man this time around and I don't expect too big a drop off in play - it's all down to his teammates and how the coaches handle bringing him back into the mix in week 6.
