I meant that you guys made yourselves the only superpower. When nobody rushes to your aid you should just suck it up and get on with it. What aid do you realistically expect?

I visited the north of Italy in August and it is HOT - pretty much any time of year from September thru June is fair reasonable weather and you'll not see snow in any part of Italy aprt from the northern most areas near the mountains. As for cheap airports - you can fly to the UK and use a number of low cost airlines to fly into a number of italian ports. I can offer specific reccommendations if needed. The South of Italy is much cheaper in general than the north - so look into flying to Napoli (Naples). Train journeys in Europe tend to be easy to make and italy is no exception. Where is your final destination?

Well I wouldn't want to take that argument right now. Both of our countries have killed several thousands of innocent civilians under the auspices of a war or terrorism. While I don't dispute that was the right thing to do - it makes no sense to demand everything we gave in good faith to countries like Indonesia because of the actions of a few.

Indeed - but when children and babies are swept away from their families, mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts are killed in their tens of thousands it doesn't matter to me what stance their government takes. We're all one species...

When 9/11 happened the WORLD was horrified and offered it's support - the UK even went to WAR for the US over that stuff. Your moaning makes you sound like spoiled babies. Your nation is a SUPERPOWER - the ONLY one in the world. Ya made yer bed, now lie in it.

As a foreigner I thought I better weigh in: I have recieved many kind words of support and condolence since the July terrorist attacks in London from Americans. Those words have been glady and gratefully recieved. So to the victims, family and friends of Katrina I offer my sincere condolences, prayers and hope for a swift return to normal. In terms of Aid, both financial and humanitarian, large prosperous nations such as the US, UK, Germany, Australia, etc cannot realistically expect a large amount of aid from foreign countries. We are the ones with the money, so we have to make sure we look after ourselves properly. I hope the UK is offering aid of some sort in this case, but chances are it will not be accepted or needed. The USA has remarkable resources at its fingertips that the rest of the world can only dream of - you'll use them to the best of your ability to fix up and move on. Take our aid if you need it - take our condolences and prayers because we offer them. Don't be isolationist - in times of crisis you need your friends, if only for a shoulder to cry on.

Get used to it. We pay over 90pence per litre over here - thats nearly 2bucks a litre (sorry dunno about gallons). We'll be at over a £ per litre by the end of the year for sure...

We don't need surprises - we need consistency, and positive consistency too. I hope they come good - I have a good feeling - but they are the key to the season IMO.

3 or 4 series is my guess for the starters. JP needs the work and so too does the OL. An opening drive score would be good - I'll settle for a good drive and a figgie. And at least one TD from the startes is a must tho on another drive. They need the confidence. Willis can sit out for the most part tho - he's done his work I think.

I'm currently on an island off the east coast of Africa... So you guys are 8 hours behind me for now - so there is no chance I can join you watching, listening of chatting about the game... I hear what you are saying - but Burns doesn't appear to be gaining any favour from the camp reports - whereas people have been fast to praise Gates and Williams. Lee on the other hand has appeared to have a fairly quiet camp to this point. I've not read anything to now to suggest the braintrust want to hang on to him with the emergence of Gates looking good. I just get a feeling Lee may not stick. Yeah my bad - I think he makes the PS really. I think Bannan makes the squad based on his versatility. That and the heavy DL rotation means we need 4 tackles. Thanks!

I personally think we'll have at least 3 if not 4 TE's on the roster (Neufeld being versatile enough to fill a couple of spots) so we'll not have room for 10 OL. Geisinger is a shot to make the team that I was 50/50 on - but I think he;s cut and brought back to the PS most likely. Our spare OL will be on the PS so we can chop and change who we have alll season. As for Schobels backup - I think Denney will backup both DE positions - we went into last season with only 3 DEs - so I can see us doing it again - which would create a roster spot for another OL - but I think more likely is that Gause or Ritzmann will make the team to backup AS... I opted for Gause for now - I think he;s got size that Ritzmann doesn't, but depending on performance I guess Ritzmann could take it.
