  1. Don;t jump the gun. Regardless of play calling Willis was taking tooooooo many steps and not hitting the LOS hard at all. MM is telling him to run hard regardless and thake whatever he can get. 2 yards a pop is better than 0.
  2. Good find. I'm pleased MM called out Willis. Our stud TB CAN NOT run as tentatively with JP struggling. I really like MM more and more.
  3. Just had my gas supply cut off because I have a leak. To make it worse it is underneath the kitchen - which means it needs completely ripping out, including the floor. Then I get told the central heating system is so old it needs to be replaced. I'm looking at a bill of over £8,000 for the work and parts. The only upside is that we'll finally have hot water - we've been showering cold for 18 months and boiling kettles to wash up. More downside - they can;t fix any of this crap for a couple of weeks - so now we have no heating, no way to cook... Man sometimes I hate that properties over here were built over 100 years ago.
  4. the US version of The Office is surprisingly as good as the Brit original. Take your pick - both are superb!
  5. Grab a two-four of your favourite, drain 5 or 6 of those bad boys and slap on Tijuana Lady by Gomez.... Seriously cool tune. Perfect for those woozy, boozy nights.
  6. Oh we care. And yes they are.
  7. I actually DO know more about British Parliamentary processes and custums than most people here.....
  8. I like the European slant. MMM i am inspired to browse for British chicks....
  9. I know more about etiquette when goosing HM The Queen than anyone else here.
  10. Damn - well sure they do. You better believe Brees has as good or better a supporting cast than JP - and Minnesota would like to claim they do too. Harrington damn sure has a great supporting cast of skill players and Carr is hardly on a drought of good skill players (but his line flat out stinks). Stats tell us enough of a story to knopw that JP isn't the most inaccurate passer in the entire league. That honour goes to Eli Manning. JP stunk on Sunday. He did what we needed him to against the Texans. But against the Bucs the whole team stunk - and THAT is not just down to JP it's down to the entire playing and coaching staff - regardless of the weather conditions. Sure JP is the guy we need to carry with us this season, but the other 10 guys on offence need to make something happen in order for JP to get away with being essentially a rookie. We knew we didn't want to have to put the ball in JPs hands and say 'win us a game' but Sunday we had to do that because we couldn't run the ball or defend the run.
  11. Sure... cos you still won;t admit to being wrong.
  12. Hmm so what do you say to my comments above? Your basic premise is wrong. He IS NOT the 'most innaccurate passer in the ENTIRE league'.
  13. Or beat it off in the dark... both works.
  14. Which end of the ball would we use for measurement then? How would we know if it was the right way around? What if the spot of the ball needs to be 2 yards further back from where the ball actually finished because the player reached for more yards when he was down?? In-ball technology can only hurt, not help our sport.
  15. Eli Manning has a lower completion percentage then JP. Wright, Brees, Rattay, Plummer, Delhomme, Harrington, Carr and Culpepper all have lower QB Rating. Carr has a lower YPA than JP. Vick, Rattay, Carr have fewer yards than JP in 2 starts. I object to the JP bashing so soon. He's a rookie. We knew he'd play like a rookie. That's the deal - now lets get on with figuring out how to beat the remaining 14 teams on the schedule.
  16. That's why there are 6 refs on the field and we don't ref football games by video. It's not broke and it don't need fixing.
  17. Nahh the sensor thing would make balls too expensive. They tried it in the NHL with puck sensors - each puck cost $200 and each time the lost a puck to the crowd they lost $200. Also - how would a sensor know whether the player was down before the ball crosses the goalline or not? A goalline camera is a smart idea - but even then if there is a mass of bodies how can the replay official TRULY know if the ball crossed the plan before the player is downed? Nice idea - but should remain at the idea stage only.
  18. I plan to mail it to NFL headquarters. I also have some contacts in the NFL here in London which I will send it to. They will forward to the appropriate authority. Not sure about how to check how many have signed - I'm at work and the security is buggering up some of the site. I'll look from home.
  19. Seemed the coaches lacked faith in Willis early. MM said something about him being a slow starter... Seems to me like we need to do more to get Willis firing early. Running on first down has got to be a must for this team.
  20. I'm not sure how much the 2 TE set helps us. It replaces a faster guy onm the outside or a blocker out of the back field with a guy like Neufeld who is a tweener in all respects. The 2TE set, especially with Euhus and Everett injured doesn't utilise our available talent and allows Defences to stack the box and dare JP to throw. I'd be using a lot more of the WRs, RBs like Shaud Williams in the flank and stuff like that. Given em something to think about - not something to use as a punchbag.
  21. No even close. JP has a mulligan for the entire year.
  22. Long dump? No wiper? I agree - but let's hope Mularky's dumps are real long and messy wipers - give him more time to get the great ideas out.
