  1. Yes. MM said in the past week that they did a good job of running screens agains the Texans... They are there, but as seems to be the problem so far this season (per Play Action vs Bucs) the coaches seem to forget half (all?) of the playbook exists on a weekly basis...
  2. I love A1!!!!!
  3. So you've got the Gin for the entire board huh?? Cos Lord knows if that carries on we all need a bottle of it.
  4. Hmmm. We need MW back. We need Bennie Anderson to pull his considerable weight. Teague is doing well at OC. Villarial needs to get some fekking fitnes. Preston will get his shot. I HOPE at LG - the R. Rich lookalike in there now hasn't impressed me so far.
  5. Prescient and concise. Well said JSP - you don't just know appealing, nubile scantily clad young women, you may just know something about football too. NOTE TO BILLS FANS: We knew, in JP, that we had a rookie QB. We also knew that having got him, we needed to play him or we could kiss the next 5 years goodbye. Not that we've kissed this year goodbye - but have some perspective.
  6. At the outset of this season we knew games would go like this. We have 3 trips to the redzone, and score on every visit. OK only 1/3 for TD's but that is 13 points from an offence that is going to take time to get going at full speed. What I liked was that we got the running game back on track. I'd like to see some more creativity though, but at least we got some playaction called. That said, we need to get Lionel Gates into the game. Shaud Williams isn't enough of a threat for me. Willis DEFINATELY gets the game ball and the OL gets credit for making space for him. JP - oh JP. Well lets face it - you show us what you MIGHT be like some day, then blow it with some awful passes. I really still believe the kid is going to be a good player some day soon. He can make a good decision to run, he can *most times* throw the correct route, but he just can't be consistent enough with his accuracy or timing to be a contender right now. What pisses me off about the quote from Moulds above is that he and I must have been watching a different game. Sure I understand the frustration - but look man if we go pass wacky even against a depleted secondary we're not sure JP can make the throws and I'm not sure how much Eric has left in him. He and Lee Evans haven't impressed so far and they should be embarressed Josh Reed leads the team. Also - what's his thing with taking shots down the field? I seem to remember the start of the game we continually tried to pick on their street CB and got nowehere but close to going 3 and out when we couldn't connect... Let's just stick to what we do well - running the football - and design some high percentage short yardage passing plays to use on 3rd and short. Yeah it's not going to be a career year for Moulds - but playing high percentage will win ball games. Now for the D. WTF is up with not being able to play the run? Our D has no heart. They look at the O struggling and they have quit on us. They won't like this - and our D apologists are going to flame me for Time of Possession stats the last 2 weeks. But it's all a problem of their own making. If you can't defend the run, you can't win football games. I REALLY hope this week the Defence goes away, forgets about this GREATEST EVER bullchit and just gets back to playing football. We are not here paying $$$$$ and £££££ in tickets, merchandise and bandwidth to fund a probowl trip for London Fletcher (cos that's what all the talk has really been about), lets just get a bunch of team oriented football players to go out and clamp down on the opponent. I don't care that Atlanta lead the league in rushing last year, or that Cadillac Williams is tearing up the league this year (beat out Willis to be top rusher this week) we just need to get it done. Ask Rian Lindell - he know's what it's all about. So why was losing not so bad? Because it's week 3. Because despite looking arse again, JP did better than last week. Because Willis remembered how to run. Because we started creating turnovers on D. Because the O playbook looked better. Because we can afford to lose a game against another NFC opponent.
  7. Jeez this is pessimisim in the extreme! The Saints are 1-2 like us... PLUS they haven't impressed anyone yet. My thoughts on this recent loss in another post soon... But we really have no need to panic yet.
  8. maybe - but i might have to do some housework while i listen to the game
  9. That whole O for USC is awesome. They make other teams look like amatuers... Leinert, Bush, White, Smith, this list doesn't stop. Even the backups are awesome.
  10. is anyone else having a problem voting using firefox?
  11. Yeah almost all TV over here is Interactive - much like what I imagine DTV does with Sunday Ticket? Anywho - pretty much at all times you can flick on the interactive Tv and see additional footage/angles/info/news/etc about that programme. They do it best for Soccer where they have 5 different cameras you can watch with, and a 6th focussed on a particular player only... If you liked that soprt of thing you could isolate aplayer and TiVo him to see how he plays... They want to introduce Sunday Ticket in the UK using exactly this method. Show one game 'live' on the main channel and have the others on a menu in the interactive TV element. They do it now with Champions League soccer where a highlight game will be picked, but the 8 remaining games are shown on the same channel on interactive.
  12. Thanks Chris... The whole HD conversation hasn't even started yet - which is why I'm not up to speed. Oh and once you start getting TV in 16:9, you really dont want to go back ever. Those ablated heads of 4:3 picture on a 16:9 TV are so annoying.
  13. And the British panel selects: Natasha Kaplinsky http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4013000...6_kaplinsky.jpg http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4037500...5_kaplinsky.jpg http://pictures.dehavilland.co.uk/live/photo4002006.jpg http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/brea...ers/2519023.stm
  14. What's the deal?? Over here virtually all our TV is broadcast in 16:9 not 4:3.. I don't think we have HD yet on these shores - but I am not sure of the difference, because we've been recieving digital satellite for years, and soon (2007) all TVs in the UK will be digital... How come the NFL is broadcast at 4:3 aprt from HD??? And how is HD different from digital?
  15. Hey look - there is NO media blitz at all here. All we've had in terms of coverage has been from local Buffalo/Rochester newspapers, TV and Radio. Exactly what we would expect in a normal week. There has NOT been a huge blow up in the media concerning MM's comments about McGahee. We're flying under the radar on a national level - and we shouldn't be worried at the moment. MM, WM, EM, and JPL need to go out there on Sunday and give the local media something to gush about. Then the public moaning will go away and what has gone on this week I am sure will NOT affect their play ina negative way this sunday. If the complaints were all over Sportscentre, NFL Live and the like we'd b e feeling the heat. But c'mon - what do you expect The Snooze and the D&C to publish??? My prediction: Vick plays. Struggles but the Falcons can run the Ball and they take away a comfortable but close win against our struggling offence. 20-10 Falcons. Willis will go over 100 tho.
  16. 49ers | Trainers buy in 7-year supply of Disney sticking plasters Thu, 3 March 2005 17:03:49 -0900 Dennis Georgatos, of the San Jose Mercury News, reports San Francisco 49ers trainers have made arrangements to take delivery of 7,000 Disney themed sticking plasters following the announcement of the signing of Tackle, Jonas Jennings, from Buffalo. A 49ers spokesman said Thursday, "we want to do everything we can to make Jonas feel right at home here in San Francisco. We know he gets nicked up and we feel that the Disney plasters are going to do a lot to help the little booboos and ouchies magic away."
  17. I read in the paper at the weekend about a price comparison between various countires fuel prices... In the UK we pay approx 95p per litre. In the US you now pay the quivalent of 33p per litre. YOUR GAS IS ONE THIRD OF THE COST OF GAS IN THE UK. You have the cheapest gas in virtually the entire world. Can we quit with the complaining now?
  18. That's true of all jobs....
  19. He isn't that. Eli Manning is.
  20. Yes - for me it's slightly better than the US version. But both are superb.
  21. Yup - Posey, Schobel and Kelsay are going to do a lot of spying and contain if you ask me.

  23. Yeah our Big Guys suffered in that heat... It is early season after all and we need our best guys available all year. So if MW was faced with going in now and getting heat stroke or staying out and being healthy the rest of the season, I know what I want him to do.
  24. Oh hey yeah. We needed to get a better job done of calling the appropriate play. But apples is apples and Willis stunk like the rest of the O on Sunday.
