An 80-year-old man went to his doctor for his quarterly check-up. The doctor asked him how he was feeling and the 80-year-old said "Things are great and I've never felt better. BANG!" Miraculously, two shots rang out and the beaver fell over dead. Now, what do you think of that?" asked the doctor. The 80-year-old said, "If you ask me, I'd say somebody else pumped a couple of rounds into that beaver." The doctor replied, "My point exactly".

Since I was one of the ones that called you out on this I'll pass comment on your good work to collate the first three rounds... I for one place more value on the early rounds than the latter ones, hence, there is a greater expectation that the players you draft 1-3 need to do a lot more than play a role. You expect them to make an impact and be starters who contribute consistently and at a high level. To me, the results you show don't demonstrate the kind of return on investment I'd be looking for from my early round pickups. We've got one good draft there out of 5, and even then we have lost a couple of those to FA or misdemeanor... 2001 was an unqualified success. 2002 stunk. 2003 gave us Willis and two backup level players IMO. The 2004/2005 are too early to grade out, but don't look FULL of promise. I think when you look at this and add in the mix of players from the lower rounds it is actually pretty balanced and says a lot about where the focus of attention goes (latter rounds and Unsigned rookie FAs) than the sure fire hits of rs 1-3... In sum - the whole staff needs to do better at finding talent at the college AND pro level and then they need to work on how to get them signed.

Yup no complaints at all. Our early round picks are what has bothered me mostly. A good number of the players you list are still performing for the Bills in certain capacities, almost ALL of them as key players on Special teams. They are good backups in my view. Do a similar analysis of or early rounds and I think you'll be more disappointed.

Som American Shows are VERY popular... a greta deal of the big time shows you can think of are some of the most popular in the UK

What American shows AREN'T popular in the UK is a better question.... Right now we have: Smallville, The OC, Americas Next Top Model,American Idol, One Tree Hill, Friends, Thrid Rock, Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons, ER, The Apprentice, CSI, West Wing, Will and Grace, 24, Despeerate Housewives, Invasion, Alias, Charmed, Shipwrecked, Knight Rider, Roseanne, The A Team, Planets Funnist Animals, COPS, Malcolm in the Middle: Nip/Tuck, Law and Order, Brat Camp, Punkd, Meet the Barkers, Pimp my Ride, Wife Swap, Cheers, Wonder Years, Bold and the Beautiful, Quantum Leap... you get the idea We get most if the same TV here as you do there. It is the wonder of Cable/Sattelite... But even on regular TV we get a ton of US shows as well as British stuff...

Agreed, sort of. I think Duke Preston is our C - but Nick Mangold is an exciting prospect. Duke/Gandy could play LG if we get Mangold and the only hole we have is at LT.

The agent thing is a good point... I had a word with my buddy who was on the Raiders training camp roster as a DT. He said that Ted can still play for at least 2 or 3 more years... I wouldn't be concerned at ALL about his age.
