  1. And if he doesn't? Then what. Oh wait, give him a year to build the team. And then what? Well, he has only had 2 years to turn things around...let's try three. Ad nauseam.

It has been speculated for years that Ralph Wilson is a doddering old fool who micro-manages things. Well, here we have proof positive. Affter the Jauron fiasco, I am out until Ralph is out of the picture. The man can say he wants to win all he wants, but his actions speak otherwise. He can talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk.

Ralph Wilson IS the problem. Until that changes, nothing will.

Proof of what? That Ralph owns the team and wants a say.

    SHOCK HORROR.

Also - he's unable to walk now because of his age. But nothing really rhymes with golf cart.

  2. That Ami beer will kick yer ass, eh?-)

My mate is actually a Canadian from Newmarket and he was going on about how it was all American piss water and he could drink a ton of the stuff.

Welllllll..... Pitchers are only $18n in the Anchor Bar - and the Chip Strip aint exactly expensive... So after arriving as usual wayyyyyy too early we downed about 8 pints in an hour, then people arrived and we spent the rest of the night being obnoxious as the Sabres won/lost (I con't remember). Beer, beer, more beer and vodka red bulls later and he puked in the car on the way to the Ralph. I However was smart and did a tactical chunder the night before.

Still don't give a stuff about Schotty the crybaby.

  3. Bothered... I could give a **** about who wanted to be the coach. And if Brian Schottenheimer is a baby about it too, well screw him.

Fair play Ralphie for having a view. He owns the damn team. He gets to call the shots like this.

If the report is true - well - Ralph probably remembers the crybaby Schottenheimer choking repeatedly in the playoffs. No thanks guys - not on my team.

  4. So if everyone in the division switches to a spread offense should we do so as well? Would you care to tell me where we are going to get the personnel needed to run the 3-4? Because really there are few players on this team that are suited for a 3-4 defense. In my opinion the 3-4 only works as a base defense when you have players with a very specific skill set. Namely a nose tackle that can take on 2-3 blockers per play and defensive ends that can consistently fight through double teams. It does create confusion for the quarterback because of the different blitz packages and coverages that you can throw at him, but I don't think the Bills have the talent at LB to take advantage of this either.

Oh sure - I agree. We don't have the personnel to run a 3-4 right now. But I'd make the switch and build, like Buddy says, through the draft and get this thing done over the next few years.

I'm no advocate of having Schobel and Kelsay play end in a 3-4. Ugh!

  5. Before you burst a vessel... take a breath and relax. Lets see who he hires as his DC and OC, strength and conditioning coach and others. Lord I hope we move away from the Martz passing offense and Tampa 2 defense.

The Bills had a few really good assistant coaches under Jauron, it was his schemes and stupidity that screwed the team.

He ain't hiring an OC. He's calling the offence himself...

  6. For the life of me I will never figure out what is the fascination with the 3-4 around here.

We play a guaranteed 6 games per year against a 3-4. We would have a better competitive advantage by practising against a 3-4 regularly in those guaranteed 6 games.

That and the 3-4 is, on the whole, a slightly more versatile defence IMO.

  7. It appears that the company behind a plan to lure the NFL back to Los Angeles said Tuesday the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills are the first teams it will try to relocate“Jacksonville and Buffalo are two teams in very, very small markets, he said. “They are teams that have either outdated stadiums or are having trouble filling their stadiums or both.”

Yes, the Bills stadium is out-dated by NFL standards. The power going out during a home game didn't help the case that the stadium has anything state-of-the-art, like a redundant power supply and the stadium lease is up soon, but move to LA?

Yes we have a small market. BUT - the Bills have consistently sold out home games all year, and have done for many years. The stadium is old for sure, but serviceable and isn't turning people away.

The report is scaremongering by an LA developer who barely knows his facts.

The Jags on ther other hand he has a point about. As TMQ regularly points out the Jags struggle to fill a stadium that has large portions of the seating covered by tarp to try to help them avoid blackouts by massaging down the capacity. It's nonsense that the Bills will move ahead of a team like the Jags.

  8. Funny thing - I was killing time at work just now going thru the roster and ticking players to keep and who I don't care about.

    Here's my lists.

    Keep:

    Brohm (3rd)

    Edwards (Backup)

    Moorman

    Lindell

    St Johnson

    Whitner (FS backup)

    Fred

    Marshawn

    Drayton Florence

    G Wilson

    Bryan Scott (SS Starter)

    Poz

    Maybin

    Ash Palmer

    Rich Incognito

    Hangartner

    Levitre

    Meredith (backup)

    TO

    Evans

    Hardy

    Stupar (backup)

    Nelson

    Sp Johnson

    Schobel

    K Williams

    Stroud

    Butler

    Byrd

    McGee

    McKelvin

    Wood

That's only 32 players. I have a list of 21 that I think we need to cut and replace with better talent. Some of that better talent needs to come in and start ahead of some of the incumbents.

My positions of need in order would be:

    1. LT

    2. OLB

    3. QB

    4. DE

    5. DT

    6. OLB

    7. ILB

    8. RT

    9. WR

    10. C

  9. namely:

    OL push and protection

    DL pressure

    Freddie Jackson

    AVP game calling

    Trent's careful game management

there's lots to be positive about out of a game that most had us down to lose by 10-30 points.

i have not drunk the Kool-Aid, but tape review is crucial here and we look promising. Now time to iron out wrinkles and kick on.

  10. The big man was sweating like a peado in a playground. Slow feet, being pushed backwards by the bull rush. He looked fatter and not in a good way.

Money hasn't made him a better player.

Oh and I forgot to add - he got a myster knee complaint just after his worst series of the night. Not a suspicious one mind. Its not like he was faking to get out of the game or anything.
