I started with Bills sites on the web back in '97. Feeling like an outsider being in the UK I lurked on a few forums and finally registered to TSW early on. I didn't post much. and when I went to uni my posting slipped to nil until I returned to lurk in about 2000. I don't remember why I registered again in Sept '01 - I think on 9/11 I wanted to be a part of a US community again feeling out of touch in the UK (it was all so melodramatic over here). The rest is history...

Yup - and as a guard myself - you want to get out of the blocks fast when you pull cos you've got a long way to go. When I false start it is 99% on a play where it's a pull/trap... Also - you are generally back on your heels a little more to help get turned, so that makes you more unstable...

ALl of these teams have a disaster area on their squad. O or D. No of them are the 'best 0-2 team' cos right now they all look awful. SF are the only ones i have seen in detail - and they looked reasonable.

So listening to the past couple of games has been frustrating - but I just had a thought that we may be being held back on O by our Defence. They are so good that they constantly keep us in games with a shot to win. Now seeing this opportunity - the O play calling goes conservative to preserve the field position battle and to play the odds by never going for the big play. We have lost twice by 3 points. If we went down by more would we see the O improve by taking shots at bigger plays???? Either way - this conservative, high completion, low risk O does not fill me (nor apparantly the O) with confidence - hence, we are losing games cos the O blows.
