  1. nice insider knowledge.... pat on the back for you... I crapped my pants when Willis went down... It would be really handy to have Travis on the sideline for the rest of the year.... Just in case...
  2. From various sources: Positives: J.P. Losman has the physical attributes you want in an NFL quarterback. He has good size (6-3, 220) and strength, a very strong arm that can make all the throws including the deep out, and one of the quickest releases in all of college football. Losman has decent agility, and good speed. He also has above average athletic ability. He can make plays with his feet and can throw on the run. He's a fiery competitor, a tough leader and can take a hit. He doesn't get shaken often. Negatives: Losman doesn't set his feet real well, throws off his back foot often causing the ball to sail, and doesn't rotate his hips properly. At Tulane, he played mostly out of the shotgun and will have to adjust to playing under center. He tends to rush his throws at times and will force the pass too often. Sometimes tries to make too much happen by himself. Also needs to work on reading coverages a little better. POSITIVES: Nice-sized athletic passer with an NFL arm. Quickly sets up in the pocket, has a short, quick delivery and the pass explodes from his hand. Patient, buys time in the pocket and a tough passer that takes a hit in order to get the throw off. Senses pressure, gets outside tackle and easily eludes the rush, making the throw on the move. Looks off the safety and goes to secondary targets, not forcing the issue or making bad choices. Challenges the vertical game and at the same time makes all the throws. Zips the outs into tight coverage, drives the ball downfield, yet also puts touch on passes when required. Makes plays with his legs and has an aggressive running style when he takes off from the pocket. NEGATIVES: Throws flat footed at times and as a result will be high of a target. Too often relies on his strong arm to make the play. Holds the ball too long in the pocket and takes unnecessary sacks. ANALYSIS: A confident quarterback with the tools to back it up, Losman is a physically gifted passer with the ability to play in multiple offensive schemes. Offering a good upside for the next level, he will eventually be a solid productive quarterback in the NFL.
  3. Thoughts are with you Ram... GO Bills.
  4. I have Norton Internet Security 2002. Its OK I guess - I think the subscription is a little too expensive... It is a bit of a hog on resources too - but I've not had a virus get thru since I had it. If there is a similar product that uses less resource I'd be ineterested... I just upgraded my RDRAM to 640MB so I am sitting pretty for memory. I think I need to get extra hard drive storage and partition my drives to get the best performance out of my machine though.
  5. I think Iggles fans are screaming 'I told ya so' right about now. The man is too old to play any more.
  6. Jeez - you guys are nuts. Achievements aside - HOF Career or SB ring aside. Peyton Manning is THE BEST NFL QB ever to have taken the field. It's not a question of his achievements or rings - he knows football like no other QB has known football. He makes sick passes that no other QB can or has ever made. For pure football and playing the game - Peyton is #1.
  7. I think there are fairly balanced arguments for starting Drew and for starting JPL. To me - the decision to start either one of them comes from their performance in training camp next year and how they approach the off-season. Given that inujuries and personnel churn are hard to predict at this stage of the season, and we assume that the OL will not be significantly different to the one we see starting this Sunday, the decision is soley down to who can execute the playbook better, who has the better rapport with his teammates, who is most prepared to play. I'm not willing to predict who will get the nod. We have a shot, albeit small, at the playoffs right now. I don't want to wish away this season just yet. If we lose one more, maybe we consider having JPL run 10-20 plays per game, have him as #2 on the roster. If we lose more than 2 games, I think we need to strongly consider putting JPL in against those weaker opponents like the 49ers. Drew can mentor JPL this season a little better than he can if he was starting all remaining games, and the natural follow through is to have JPL start next pre-season. But only if we start losing now.
  8. I think this is quite true - although overly antagonistic.
  9. Why do I have a problem with state funds being handed over to private firms with the sole intention of boosting their profit margins...?
  10. 3 reasons to hate the fish in this thread alone
  11. See my blog entry - I loved The Incredibles Shameless blog promotion Look at me
  12. Hang on - the Incredibles was FANTASTIC. Don't listen to #89 everybody - what does she know?? She's a girl...................
  13. Ummmm Duh. I modelled myself on Jack in Syracuse... I'm not bright enough to think up clever alter-egos. And my location seems pretty unique - so why not throw that in too? I went thru a phase of being Prometheus on all onlien thingys but that wore off.
  14. mix in some beer with that recipe and you sir have a deal!
  15. Good call - Lee is doing fine as a #2 - we'll have to see if he can be a #1 WR. I would hope to see us draft another WR sometime in the next 3 years to plan for EM retiring. A big posession reciever with a little speed would be nice thanks.
  16. I know where you are going with that... But on any given sunday... Looks to me like Denver, Jax or Baltimore have the inside track on the layoffs better than we do... So it'll be wait til next year anyway...
  17. Marv I don't want to go nuts just yet - he's a rookie coach and we have a losing record - but I think this team has turned around nicely. Mularky has grown into the role perfectly - as have the rest of the coaching staff, Gray, Clements, Krumrie, Szabo, Wyche, et al... The stiffest test of the staff will be their ability to maintain our momentum through a long off-season (realistically we will not make the playoffs).
  18. I heard that interview too... Man is it me or did Willis really seem as dumb as a fox of frogs?? Nice kid and all - but if ever there was a man who sounded like his bran was in his jock strap it's Willis. Can a person say 'you know w'ahm sayin' any more times in the space of 3 minutes?
  19. Great work - truly astounding clarity... I think we should expect another loss - probably Cincy or Cleveland - to make us 9-7 and that relies on the Steelers throwing the last game because they can...
  20. The pay calling smacked of an assurance from the coaches. We WILL have another bad game to end our playoff hopes, but that's to be expected I think. Keep growing like we have done the past 8 games and I think this bodes very well for the next two seasons.
  21. I got to say that we run straight at Wistrom for 3 quarters then pass on their ass. Kill Alexander and the Hawks have no game - even with Hasselbeck back... I predict - Bills 24 Seahawks 14
  22. She's got soft hands thats for sure...
  23. Why, he's the future president of England...
