  1. Plantar fasciitis sucks. It doesn't really go away until you rest it for a long while, in my experience. NBA players deal with it all the time.
  2. What do you think of Rapp replacing Poyer? Poyer seems to have lost a step, even more than Hyde, whose play also has seemed pedestrian (to my inexpert eye). I haven't given up on Elam yet. I'm guessing that confidence is the key problem now. McD. seems to prefer system CBs who are in the right place and tackle well, whereas Elam's strengths are his size, speed and length, which allow him to jam and then stick to the WR. Riding the bench because he's not good at what he's not good at might have led him to believe he's not good at anything. In other words, to tap into Elam's strengths, McD. might have to change his expectations, and maybe even his defense. He might not have a choice at this point. I'm talking about this starting lineup: Benford, Elam, Rapp, Hyde, Johnson. Jackson, Poyer, and Hamlin backing up. The key is Elam.
  3. The real question isn't whether the Bills make the playoffs--Allen would have to be out for the season for that to happen--but whether they win the division. If they win the division and get a bye, their SB chances rise by a lot. One near-certainty: They won't have top seed. Between the Chief's soft schedule, the extreme bias of the refs in their favor (it's no longer debatable), and eyebrow-raising "coincidences" (e.g., the Broncos DB declining to tackle Mahomes), the Chief WILL be awarded the top seed, barring a season-ending injury to Mahomes. Not fair, but at least they have a chance to beat the Chiefs at that point. https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/10/13/broncos-damarri-mathis-patrick-mahomes-missed-tackle-video
  4. No need to go that far. Still have to have the Chiefs win. But give the Broncos a call or two for appearances sake. Heck, let them even think they're going to win. THEN throw the PI flag on the Mahomes interception, the holding call on a Wilson TD, or whatever it takes.
  5. Knox having to help Brown on so many plays is part of the problem, as many posters have pointed out. But it's not clear why Dorsey isn't running Kincaid deeper. Beane has to be frustrated. He gives Dorsey Hines (who isn't cheap), and Dorsey doesn't use him. Then he drafts Kincaid in the first round, and Dorsey doesn't use him, either, at least not well.
  6. You got to wonder if Anderson, the backup, is actually worse than Brown. Brown's problems with pass-pro appear to be holding back the entire offense.
  7. I wasn't sure about the Miami game, and I was worried about the Jags game. But I rarely been as confident about a Bills game in decades of watching them. They're pissed off and will rip the the Giants to shreds in front of a national audience.
  8. Is this post supposed to be sarcastic, playful, ironic, satirical? If so, I admire the advanced humor. Love the "High Football IQ." Good stuff! If you're serious, well, yikes. Hope your family is taking care of you.
  9. I'm surprised Dawkins graded out poorly, especially when the Jags' Josh Allen was credited with just one tackle. I do recall him being walked back into our Josh Allen on one play (on which Dawkins was called for a hold), but Allen seemed to have as much (or little) time as he does usually.
  10. Yeah, I meant to say Davis when I said Diggs. I'm just going to sit in the corner for awhile...
  11. Did Williams play well? I got called away in the second half. The commentary here was "Dorian sucks" AND "Dorian rocks!"
  12. Shoot, you're right. No wonder people are jumping on me.
  13. Should be easy to rebut then. Have at it. But start with Davis' drop rate, move on to his poor route-running, lack of speed, quickness, and separation, and end with his feeble production as a WR2 playing with a future HOF QB opposite a future HOF WR. Or is your case that he sometimes--maybe even often--catches balls that Allen puts right in his hands?
  14. I don't recall this play ever working, and Dorsey loves it, as if it's a surefire winner. What is up with Dorsey? Where are the change-up plays, the--I don't know--end arounds, jet sweeps, direct snaps to the RB, RB screens, counter-treys, naked bootlegs, or misdirection plays of all kinds? I mean, try SOMEthing besides the same ten plays over and over and over, starting and ending with the shotgun draw for no gain.
  15. Diggs is a bigger McKenzie: a choke player on an otherwise good offense. Not a hot take to say the Bills would be better off without him.
  16. They do if they're done right, not in the traditional way. Helps also if the other team doesn't expect it, not the case here.
  17. Onside kick would have been the better call. Defense is done.
  18. Especially since they gave up a fourth to move up to get him.
  19. Put in the waterboy for Elam. Bound to be an improvement.
  20. Meanwhile, Dorsey is plotting new, unheard-of innovations, like RB draws from the shotgun, WR screens, and runs up the middle on first down. Gunning for a head coaching job, he is.
  21. Defense is playing better with four starters out than the offense with no injuries at all.
  22. The Bills have only one true receiver on the team. One.
  23. Davis and Knox, consensus picks for the All-Drops team.
