  1. Stop performing verbal felacio on Hardy. Are you his frikin agent? If the chick was such a psycho, why was he hanging out with her in the first place?? The thing about Greg Hardy is that he aint that great of a player. The guy gets 11 sacks in a season and he is talked about as the next coming of Bruce Smith.
  2. Playing in the AFC North is going to be brutal for RGlll. The guy is as fragile as the day is long. Without a strong O line, the Bengals, Ravens and Steelers will eat him up. His troubles all started late in the 2012 season when he was leg whipped by Haloti Nata of the Ravens. Never been the same since. It will make for an interesting story to see if he has any game left. But the Browns......Ugh! They have been so bad.
  3. I would move it back another 5 yards, making it a 38 yard field goal. There would obviously be more misses-making the game more exciting. And it would also make teams at least think harder about going for the two pointer, when weighing the longer extra point. Another issue that gets overlooked by many is when the kickoff was moved forward to the 35 yard line. Awful rule. Ruined an exciting part of the game. It should be at least back at the 30, bringing the kickoff return back into play. Football is a collision sport. Taking that out of the game is sinful by Goodell and company. Thoughts?
  4. All their wheeling and dealing is fine. But they win because they have one of the top 3 QB's (if not the best) of all time. And one of the best head coaches of all time. The rest of their roster is always decent, but not always great. I think overall it was better early in their 15 year run with the likes of Bruschi, McGinnest, Seymour, Moss, Troy Brown, et al. Now of course they have Gronkowski-who all time great. Hightower, Collins, Edelman are very good. And the rest kind of all know their roles. But are not spectacular. But what sets them apart is how they go about their business. The "Patriot Way" is always for the good of the team. They do not keep problem players around. They do not tolerate guys w off the field issues. They do not tolerate guys who play half heartedly on the field. They do not tolerate complainers in the locker room. Its the Patriots way or the highway. The team is always bigger than any one player. Unless their name is Tom Brady. But even he is a team guy who only cares about winning. Guys like Mario Williams, Pac Man Jones, Vontez Berfict have no place in Foxboro. The Patriots, Detroit Red Wings and the St Louis Cardinals are the three best organizations in professional sports. Anyone beg to differ? But regardless, lets kick the Pats ass this year for a change. No talk Rex. Just action.
  5. You can't have this group of receivers. Sammy is the only one over 6 feet tall, and he is all of 6'1. We need some size at the position. That's why we brought in Salas, Little and Boykin. We are not keeping Goodwin, Kerley and Harvin. I say we sign Kerley. Goodwin and Harvin are perpetually injured. It is fine to have one small quick slot receiver. And Curley would fit that role well. Better than Hogan in my estimation. But the NFL is a big man's passing game for the most part. And we need some size at WR if we want to improve our passing game.
  6. Why would he not want to play for us? Most guys love playing for Rex. (except Mario Williams. LOL)
  7. Salas looked better than Hogan in the last two games of the season. And Little and Boykin have way more upside than Hogan. Hogan's catching a ball near the first down marker and not falling forward, but rather circling backwards to try and get more yardage-only to be stopped short of the first down every time was maddening. Come training camp is anyone on this board going to even remember Chris Hogan? Seriously, he had three big plays for us. The catch against the Vikings in 2014, and the two catches against Tennessee on the winning drive last season. Other than that, what am I missing?
  8. Paul Krause-one of the all time leaders in interceptions. Played for the Vikings in the 60's and 70's. Bang.
  9. dopeland I don't know if Hogan is a douche. But I am in agreement on your other two assessments. His girlfriend was hot on Hard Knocks when he played for the Dolphins.
  10. I hope Kaepernick goes to the Jets. He blows. We will eat him up. I hope he goes to any team in the AFC. Because that will help us with wild card positioning. But we should draft Braxton Miller in the 2nd round, doubt he makes it to the 3rd round. If we have already picked in the 2nd round, I would trade back up from the third round (giving up a pick next year if possible) to get him. He is a healthier younger version of Percy Harvin. How many of you would like him as our slot guy instead of 7-11?
  11. Chris Hogan is a marginal talent at best. We can do much better than him at WR. Sure he will catch some balls from Brady. (everyone does) But he is certainly not a game changer/difference maker. I am sure we will let him walk if NE makes him a decent offer. We have much bigger needs to think about than keeping Chris Hogan.
  12. Lovie is going to get wiped in the Big 10. He was way overrated as an NFL coach. And I don't see what he will bring to a college program. Had to have been one of the most underwhelming head coaches I have ever seen on an NFL sideline. Good luck playing Nebraska, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Iowa every year. And than crossing over to play Ohio State, Michigan State and Michigan every couple of years. Yikes. The Illini haven't been relevant since the days of Jack Trudeau and Jeff George. And that's a long time ago.
  13. Perfectly said. Fitz is a professional QB who can make things happen a lot of the time. BUT when it comes down to crunch time he just can't get it done more often than not. Perfect examples were the loss to the Giants in Met Life Stadium when we started out 5-1 in 2011. He underthrew Stevie J twice (once in the end zone) when he was open for just brutal interceptions. That game sent the team spiraling downhill. A loss in KC where we had numerous chances to win and he threw a flutter ball straight up in the air around midfield that was picked, and the Chiefs than kicked the winning FG in OT. And of course the 4th qtr meltdown against us in the last game. Bad way to end the year. He will get a job. But is he going to lead your team deep in the playoffs? No way.
  14. Every time a current Bill is let go or not resigned, many of you on this board lament to the nth degree how the sky is falling. The vitriol for the front office when Jairus Byrd was not resigned was off the charts. Well two years later, how is that working for the Saints? They had the worst Defense in the league last year-historically poor. Their secondary gave up the most TD passes in one season in league history. And Byrd (when he was healthy) was a big part of it. As for Mario, his play was at best disinterested last year. At worst horrible and completely ineffective. Players making 20 mill per season are supposed to DOMINATE! Did not see that out of him last year. Or ever on a consistent basis. We will probably go DE in the first two rounds. And possibly sign a DE in free agency at a much better valued price. He gave us some good games. But how many playoff appearances did we make with him? We can improve the D with much better fits at much better prices. And no, Nigel Bradham is not one of those fits either. We are franchising Cordy-which is a good thing. Lets get Richie signed, and draft a right tackle in the first round. (Take Conklin if he is on the board, if not take Treadwell from Ole Miss) If neither is there, go with the best front 7 player still on the board. Get a few reasonably priced free agents for the D. And get the big RT and a big WR to play opposite Sammy. If Tyrod improves some, we will be a strong contender.
  15. The NFL game for a Running Back is speed explosiveness and shiftiness. At this point Fred has none of that. He was a great player and leader in his heyday. That day is long gone. Can we give it a rest and move forward? There are so many good young RB's available every year. And we are doing a great job to finding them. How about giving it up for Mike Gillislee?
  16. Why is it good news that the Bills will not have a new stadium anytime soon? This is 2016. The Ralph opened in 1973. That is a LONG TIME ago. After San Diego and Oakland either get new stadiums or move, the Ralph will be the oldest stadium in the league. (Kansas City, Chicago and Green Bay have made major renovations) Why is that anything to be proud of? Everyone seems to be so caught up in all the tailgating. I haven't lived in Buffalo for years, but have been back for my share of games, and have enjoyed the tailgating. But do you not think that the fans party it up in every other city in America that has football, both pro and college? Of course they do. And there will be partying at any new stadium that is built as well. But seriously a lot of you sound like the tailgating is as important if not more important to whether we win or not. Have any of you been to Met Life Stadium in New Jersey? Take the Path train from Penn Station out to the New Jersey's swamps. The Giants fans are just as passionate chanting on the trains heading to the game. Partying in a huge wind swept parking lot is not one step from Nirvana. I can get my partying at a lot of other places other than a football stadium parking lot. I just want a winner on the field. And a shiny new toy in the form of a new stadium would be a nice complement. Atlanta opened the Georgia Dome in 1992, and have a new stadium set to open for the 2017 season. It may not be Englewood, but it will be sweet nonetheless. Progress is exciting. Why should we be the dregs of the NFL? Our team hasn't made the playoffs in 16 seasons, and we also have a stadium from another era. It isn't a bad place to watch a game. But to be happy that we will not have a new stadium for up to another decade makes no sense whatsoever. Are many of you going to stay in an old run down house, just because you have a nice deck to have BBQ's on for three months of the year??? I didn't think so. So wake up people of Western New York the millenium known as the 21st century started a long time ago. And it would behoove a lot of you to get a grander picture of where the world is going. Maybe when you watch games from Minnesota and Atlanta's new facilities in the upcoming seasons you might feel differently.
  17. The Bills need to draft Jake Rudock from Michigan in the 4th or 5th round. Did everyone watch him torch the Gators in the Wild Wings bowl? He is smart mobile and accurate. Not a big specimen. But the guy is a leader, doesn't get rattled, and will only get better in the pros. I may be a little biased being a huge Wolverines fan. However, he can play. I would love him on our roster.
  18. Preston Brown does not have the athleticsm to play in the NFL. His lateral range is about 3 yards in either direction. We do not have a legitimate NFL LB on our roster right now. (that is a big problem) He and Bradham need to go. Watch the rest of the NFL. It doesn't matter the scheme. Talent trumps scheme almost every time. Our LB's suck. Worst in the league. I would draft two in the top 3 rounds, and bring in a couple Free Agents.
  19. I completely agree. Tyrod has played well in spurts. But when the game is on the line, he has gone in the tank time and time again. He had chances against NE, KC and Philly to lead us down the field to tie the game with plenty of time, and he could not even get us a first down, when the opposition is always going to give you some underneath and medium range stuff. His awareness of what to do in a given situation is sorely lacking. That being said he does have ability to make big plays. And hopefully will get better in crunch time going forward. However, to even think about an extension at this point in time is pure stupidity. He should be the starter going into this coming offseason. But he should have competition from a veteran and a draft pick. He should have to show that he is trending upward this offseason and into next season before he is given a fat contract. Because if this year is TT's ceiling, we are not going anywhere as a team. A lot of you may not follow him, because he is not flashy. But Jake Rudock at Michigan had an excellent season. He is smart, mobile, good accuracy, has an above average arm and understands how to play the QB position. With some solid coaching he will be a good NFL QB (better version of Kirk Cousins and Nick Foles) within a couple of seasons. I have watched every Michigan game this year, and he has gotten better as the season went along. And was a great leader of the offense. I would draft him with a 4th or 5th round pick, and give him a shot. I am a huge Michigan fan, so I may be biased. But the guy has game.
  20. Did you not watch the game? Karlos ran like his hair was doused w gasoline, and someone was chasing him w a welding torch. In other words he ran hard and fast. The kid has got game. He will end up being an excellent pick for the Bills. He makes Fred look like he is running in reverse on a treadmill.
  21. Anyone who is not concerned about Ronald Darby starting for us, has not watched Ronald Darby's performance trying to cover an NFL receiver one on one. He looks athletic, but looks absolutely lost when trying to stay with his receiver. His instincts look a little suspect, as he always seems a bit slow in reacting to ball and receiver. But if we all see this, I am sure Rex and his coaches do as well. And will create a scheme that will protect Darby as much as possible. And hopefully, Luck will be running for his life from our pass rush, and be totally uncomfortable the entire game. I like our chances to prevail. A nice start to the Tyrod and Rex era...Bills 31-20.
  22. I think there is a pretty fair chance that Moats and/or Batten do not EVEN make the team. Don't see a lot of upside with the athleticism of either player. We can find a lot better.
  23. Totally agree. Bell is soft and never dominates. He is decent, but he always is getting beat up. We can do better in free agency or the draft. I would be happy with him as a depth player. I think the Bills agree. That is why we did not sign him before free agency started. We do NOT view him as the long term solution at LT. We will let him sort out any offers, and find his value on the open market. He will than be much easier to sign, if he does not get a good offer from anyone else, which I am thinking will be the case. Elite NFL teams do not have starting LT's like Demetrius Bell.
  24. We have oodles of cap space. Part of the reason we have sucked for so long is because we are always "a young team". We need good veteran players. Every team does. If he gave us 2 or 3 solid years, how is that bad? He and Merriman rotating at DE sounds like a pretty lethal combination to me if healthy.
