Joe Mixon was baited by a drunk B word who was pushing him, using racial epithets and cussing him out. You don't think a lot of young males, and maybe some older ones would have done the same thing to her? Domestic violence against women is a bad thing. But in this situation it was certainly not all Joe Mixon's fault. And regardless how a lot of the media wants to constantly ride the politically correct train ad nauseum. The draft analysts took a very neutral view on the incident as they should have. As for Kapaernick, you don't disrespect the National Anthem or the American Flag regardless of your social or political views. That doesn't get you very far in life. He aint a great player, and comes off as a weirdo as well. Teams just don't want that. It is a team game. Not a game about individuals.

Most Exciting Last Minute of a Bills game ever?
Paup 1995MVP replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at that game back in 1981-my Junior year in HS. Tremendous ending. Crowd went berserk. Thanks for sharing the link from Youtube. The game was broadcast so differently back in 1981. MInimal graphics. Very weird not seeing the score and time left in the qtr on the screen at all times. I watched the 3rd qtr so far and NE just pounded the ball up the gut play after play. Interesting how much more wide open the game is today. It was a 53 yard FG made by Nick Folk. And we called TO right before he kicked it. He then kicked it a second time and split the uprights perfectly. Just a heartbreaking defeat. -
Gary Barnidge visited the Bills May 3rd

Clay has been average at best since coming to Buffalo. He looked much quicker when he played for Miami. Hopefully he ramps up his game this year. Dawkins at rt tackle is miles ahead talent wise then Jordan Mills. And Zay Jones will be tremendous. Nothing wrong with counting on rookies to step up. Most teams do that every year. -
ESPN is great for College Football and not much else. There Sunday pre game show just goes on and on. With the amount of football thats on every week between pro and college, who is sitting for 3 hours beforehand to listen to Keyshawn and Ditka blow smoke up each others asses? Seriously, every football fan gets news up to the minute 24/7 on their phones, internet, etc. ESPN should stick to live sporting events. The rest is just garbage that's geared to 20 year old knuckleheads. Most of the young anchors are unwatchable. Everything is supposed to be hip, cool and funny. That's not for hardcore sports fans. And good god, since when did every female have to become an ESPN anchor? They should have stopped with Linda Cohn. Do any of you remember Kerry Ross from way back in the day? She was a hottie. Now so much schtick, and no substance. I remember when it was Dan Patrick, Keith Olberman, Tom Mees and Charlie Steiner. There was no fancy studio set. Just an anchor desk w a teams logo on the screen behind the anchor. Now the only anchors worth watching are Stan Verrett and Scot Van Pelt. Newer is not always better.

Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet

Did you even finish 8th grade man? Reading your post just gave me a huge headache. Wow, talk about nonsensical. -
Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet

You are a MF dumb ass for saying that. Whaley is hated because he is very poor at what he does for a living, not because of the color of his skin. -
The Pegulas have no clue how to run a professional sports franchise. The results prove that. I think they should try owning a Toys R Us or QT before jumping to the big time.

Rotoworld ranks Whaley as worst GM in NFL
Paup 1995MVP replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What don't you get? He drafted TWO players that were injured last year and were unable to contribute almost anything to the team. That is up there with drafting an injured Willis McGahee in the first round in 2003, when he was not going to play that year, and was coming back from a devastating knee injury. And we already had a very good RB in Travis Henry. Lawson played some, but was ineffective after missing half the season. And Listenbee saw as much playing time as I did. Couple that with the EJ Manuel pick in 2013, and you have a pretty piss poor record as a GM. We had the least amount of drafted players on our roster this past season. And our QB situation has been a mess as well. Need I say more? -
Is it okay to have a second team to root for?
Paup 1995MVP replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills and the Michigan Wolverines are my teams til death. Can't root hard for anyone else. Except my son just got offered a full ride scholarship to play football at Syracuse this coming season. He is a bad ass DE. Had 19 sacks his senior season for one of the best HS teams in the country, the Roswell Georgia Hornets. They played in the 7A state championship at the Georgia Dome last December. Lost in OT on a missed FG, after tying the game on the last play of regulation on a 20 yard TD pass. Heartbreaking loss. So I will become a big rooter of the Orangemen. Their schedule is brutal this year. Their 5 road games are, out of conference at LSU. In conference at FSU, Miami, NC State and Louisville. And at home they play Pitt and Clemson. Also play BC and Wake at home and MTSU and Central Michigan at home as well. But that is a man's schedule. I told him to buckle up his chinstrap and be ready for some heavy duty banging in the trenches. -
S. Gilmore or Nate Clements in their prime?
Paup 1995MVP replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You stole my user name. LOL You know what's up about Bryce Paup. The man had game. Probably a lot of people on the message have no idea who he was as they think Bills football started with Fred Jackson and Kyle Williams. But to your original question. Clements over Gilmore every day and twice on Sundays. Clements is just a better football player and athlete in my opinion. Gilmore's technique is to hold the receiver all over the field. Good riddance to that puscatore! Another corner who would have been really good back in the day, but for injuries was Marlon Kerner. He would have been better then Gilmore also. -
Zach Brown is a B word. He tackles like one too. Noone is paying him big time money because he is not a big time player. He is a spoke in the wheel, and should be happy anyone wants him the way he played at the end of last season. Just not a physical player. I agree with Baba Booey that Rueben Foster will be and should be our guy at 10 if we don't trade down. But trading down is the optimal situation. We still need help at CB, WR, S, ROT and LB. And a #2 TE would not hurt either. If we can somehow get 2 or 3 additional picks in the first 4 rounds by trading down, and then fill most or all of our needs in the draft, we will be looking at a pretty solid roster.
-
What are you all thinking? Sure the Browns are dumb, but not that dumb. To move up 2 spots they are not giving up more than a high 4th. That is laughable to even think they would give up their high 2 to move up two spots. (But I would be ecstatic if they did) I think a high 4th and Josh Gordon would be excellent. He would feel real comfortable on our team w all the pot smokers. But seriously the guy can ball. You can't disregard talent.

In What Round Do the Bills Take Joe Mixon
Paup 1995MVP replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, your response is ridiculous. That drunk B word was in his face pushing him and using racial slurs. He didn't need to knock her out. But that young woman certainly bares some responsibility for what happened He served his punishment (kicked off the Sooners for a year) Based on the facts of what actually happened, a second chance is certainly warranted for Mr Joe Mixon. -
Zach Brown is decent. He wore out big time in the second half of the season. I like him as a situational substitution coverage LB in obvious passing situations. Basically he is a solid role player, and should be paid accordingly. He is not a thumper. If we are smart we will draft Reuben Foster at 10 if he is available. He is an amped up Zach Brown. Can rush the passer, cover the short pass, and knock the crap out of everything in his way.

Agreed big time! The guy has sucked for years. And we get mad at the Bills management. If I am a Jets fan, I am not happy..

Andre Holmes claims he isn't signed, Reporters disagree
Paup 1995MVP replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guaranteed was in the low 2's. If Woods got 4 years 34 mill. Why would Holmes sign for 3 and 4.5 mill? He is a better receiver than that. -
Wheres the market for Zach Brown?
Paup 1995MVP replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly! The performance he gave against Pittsburgh was one of the worst I have seen by a LB in recent memory. Just because he made a lot of tackles does not mean he is a game changer. -
The guy is coming off major knee surgery, and will not be ready for the start of the season. We need healthy bodies. On to the next.

Your opinion is wrong. Holmes has a lot of game. -

So what if the NFLPA leaked the offer by mistake or otherwise? The problem isn't the NFLPA. The problem is that Holmes hasn't agreed to the contract. Maybe he wants more money, and was never planning on agreeing to 3 yrs 4.5 million. If the Bills want him bad enuf, they will up the ante to a number that he can't refuse. We have plenty of money under the salary cap. We need a tall receiver. Holmes has some game. So lets get it done Dougie. Very odd how much we paid for guys like Dimarco and Houshka. Ones a good FB. But a FB nonetheless. And one is a kicker that is probably better then Carpenter, but not a whole lot better (at least in terms of kicking extra points). And we still have lots of holes including WR, CB, and RT. We seem to overpay for positions that are not that important, by most teams standards. But at positions of greater importance and need, we tend to lose out on players more often then not. We seem to do things backwards from a lot of teams. We are not always wrong. And the other teams are not always right. However, not making the playoffs for 17 years is a bad look. -
Has any team contacted EJ Manuel about a tryout?
Paup 1995MVP replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The one hop throw to a wide open Charles Clay near the goal line in the season finale against the Jets pretty much typified his career. He has been decent the past two preseasons from what I remember. But when the games are played for real, he has been bad. Another in a LONG LINE of high draft pick busts and crap QB's we have had over the 17 year streak. (I believe that started when we took DE Erik Flowers out of ASU late in the first round back in 2000 or 2001. That guy sucked too) -
Victor Cruz is not the answer. Did you watch him against the Packers? Looks like he is running in quick sand. He is done.

Malcolm Butler wants out of New England
Paup 1995MVP replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is better then Gilmore because he knows how to tackle. Gilmore plays NFL football like its flag football. Not sure why people are so bent out of shape over letting Gilmore go. He will get torched often playing for the Patriots. Just like he did playing for the Bills. -
So far Bills Secondary appears to be weaker for 2017
Paup 1995MVP replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Micah Hyde is a stud. Have you watched him play? Gilmore is a puss. All about himself. Can't wait to see the look on Belichik's face when he tries to make his first ole' tackle. -
Calm down, breathe, we are fine.

I love your optimism about McDermott. He seems to understand the mindset you need to be an NFL head coach. Hard work, nose to the grindstone, all business. Everything Rex was not.
