  1. Then they are absolutely clueless. Hopefully our coaching staff is not.
  2. I understand your logic. But don't you think the veteran players have watched Tyrod play, and realize he is lousy? I think they all want to win. So what makes you think they want Tyrod to be playing given how he played last year and this preseason? The guy looks absolutely lost on the field. So what if Peterman is a rookie. He is not afraid to let it rip. Tyrod hesitates on any throw that is between the numbers. We have gone nowhere with Tyrod. Time to part ways.
  3. I was sitting right by the goal post at the Big Sombrero that the ball sailed wide right by. Just a heartbreak of epic proportions. I was pretty drunk but it still sucked something awful!! The drive with my buddies from Tampa back to Atlanta the next day was very depressing. I was also at the Music City Miracle game in Nashville. That was more shocking then heartbreaking. But still a huge downer just the same. I was also at the Bills-Dolphins playoff game in Miami after the 1998 season when Flutie got creamed by Trace Armstrong at the 5 when we were marching for the winning TD late in the game. And I went to the Bills-Cowboys Super Bowl at the Rose Bowl in 1993. That game just sucked ass big time. I was so pissed after that loss, I kicked over a row of chairs at LAX airport. I have seen some heartbreak in my years. The last Bills game I saw live was the win in 2011 against the Pats when Fitzie led us on the big comeback. That was a great victory! And I saw the Hail Mary TD in 1981 against the Pats from Fergy to Hooks when I was a teenage. So I have seen some good victories. Hopefully a lot more positive then negative is on the horizon. Go Bills!!
  4. I would still play Peterman at least a quarter. He needs the work, and should get comfortable with the ones. Then bring in Wenning. If Wenning looks good, I would cut or trade Tyrod (I am strongly hoping they do, because he can not play a lick in this offense) and Yates. And role with Peterman and Wenning. What do we have to lose at this point?
  5. I agree 716. Losing is NEVER acceptable. I remember the 2001 season of 3-13. Just awful. Sure we were a young team, but the defense was awful, and our QB's were Rob Johnson and Alex Van Pelt. Enuf said. I don't think McDermott will stomach and tolerate the losing well. And that's a good thing. It could be a revolving door of players all season long. But get the O line in order if nothing else. No excuse to have Mills and Ducasse playing together. My goodness. Where is Jerry Ostroski and John Fina when you need them?
  6. Donald Stephenson is god awful. Can anyone play tackle in the NFL anymore? Dam there is some **** masquerading as O lineman these days. Wow, that is a fleece for us. I will drive Tyrod to the airport. Just get rid of him before the week is out please. We need to move forward, and we can't if the coaching staff is delusional into thinking that Tyrod is the answer.
  7. But we still have Kyle Williams from the Jauron era leading our defense. (5th round pick in 2006) Maybe Marv as a GM wasn't that bad? LOL
  8. And the Pats just cut Kony Ealy who they traded for before the draft. Are the Pats fans irate? I doubt it.
  9. Ragland may not see the field this year. His knee is still not great. And this is a passing league bro. I can see the Raiders Chargers and Broncos licking their chops throwing down the middle w Ragland 3 steps behind.
  10. +1 And don't write off EJ Gaines as just a throw in. He will probably be our starter, and will do a good job in McDermott's scheme if he can stay healthy.
  11. That is what I was thinking when I heard Ware was injured. How about their 2nd and 3rd next season, and maybe a decent player not named Eric Berry?
  12. Good thinking there Bobby. That one is a little under the radar, but smart. Trade him for a 3rd or maybe a WR, and start Groy at Rt Guard. Cut Ducasse, and find a back up after cuts this weekend.
  13. Maybe we can cut Tyrod now, and end the misery?!!
  14. the guy hasn't played a down in the NFL and is coming off a major knee injury that is not healed yet. And he probably starts the year on the PUP for KC. The Bills got good value for him. I am very surprised we got a 4th for Ragland given that he has shown NOTHING so far. Nice job McBean.
  15. Didn't watch last nites game yet living in the South. Will watch tomorrow on the NFL Network replay. But I feel everyone's frustration. I was following a lot of the game on ESPN app, and seemed that we could get nothing going offensively. The D has been stout so far. I think McDermott's scheme will be solid. The Dareus situation from last nite is a bad look for the team. Your highest paid and supposedly best defensive player shows up late for a preseason game? Absolutely unacceptable. If not for his contract, I say he would be gone by trade or cut. Not blaming the coach for that. But unfortunately Coach McD will have to deal w the issue. The offense is looking anemic. Big problem is the O line. If Glenn can't play we are in trouble. The rest of our tackles suck. Dawkins needs to get good quickly. (And don't talk about we should have kept Kuanjio. Running half naked in a field screaming to be shot-I think you lose the privilege of playing in the NFL with that ****. At least you should) But again the main problem seems to be at QB again. Tyrod Taylor is not an NFL QB. He can not process the game. The film does not lie. I would cut him and go with Peterman and Yates, or some other half baked journeyman as Peterman's backup. Give him the keys to the car and see if he can get the O to run smooth. We know what Tyrod brings, and its pocket change. Maybe Peterman will get it quickly with a full offensive playbook and off we go. Other teams with more at stake then us have gone with rookies at QB. Who cares if some of the vets don't like that move. They can see that Tyrod is garbage. A good guy, but garbage. Hey there was a guy named Brady who came out of nowhere in 2001..... And the rest is history.
  16. I completely agree Buftex. The thought of trying to lose makes me sick. I go into every season hoping that we are going to put a solid product on the field. And I hate watching any of my teams lose. The thought of tanking and winning 2 to 4 games is wretched. I know how I feel after a loss, and it pretty much ruins the rest of my Sunday. And it certainly takes away all my joy for the NFL. Just can't deal with my team losing week after week. I remember the 2001 season w Greg Williams at the helm and Rob Johnson and Alex Van Pelt at QB. The team was just awful. And went 2-14 or 3-13. There was no hope. Can't have that kind of thing going. I want us to put the best product on the field every week every year. If the Bills can not or will not do that, then move the dam team. I am more optimistic then most about this years team. I think the defense will be much improved under McDermott. We still will have a great running game. And if Tyrod or Peterman can get it going, we should be competitive. And have you all seen McDermott's intensity? He was going bonkers after Philly's kicker missed an early FG. Who does that....in the preseason? I loved that. Replayed it a bunch of times. The guy is a nut. Anyone who is thinking about tanking in August is ridiculous.
  17. Watched a replay of the game last nite on NFL Network. Peterson looked solid. Has some work to do. But loved his poise. Looked confident and thought his arm was pretty solid to make all the throws. And got to love the scrambles. If only EJ could have run with that authority. lol Thought Yates looked terrible. Dude should be cut if he plays like that against Philly. As for comparison w Alex Smith. See a much higher ceiling for Peterman. But right now that is just "potential".
  18. The defense also melted down against the Raiders bigtime in the 2nd half. But Tyrod contributed heavily to the loss with his turnovers also. That being said, I like your optimism, and think we have a pretty solid roster. The hopefully better coaching from a discipline organizational and game management standpoint should be a big plus. Offensively I think our receivers look much better on paper. Holmes Streater and C. Brown are NFL talented players. Robert Woods played with a lot of heart. But he was injured a lot and athletically he was average at best. The contract the Rams gave him was ridiculous. TE scares me. Clay is always hobbled, and I question his explosiveness. (I admit I was excited when we signed him. But for whatever reason he has been nowhere near the weapon he was with the Fish) Hopefully he will be able to give us at least 10-12 really good performances. Behind him is a black hole. Not sure why we have not tried to address this with a really talented player either in free agency or the draft. (I would have went after Jared Cook immediately in free agency) I think the D will play much more cohesively as a unit once they learn McDermott's system. We have a talented front 7 and McDermott and Frazier should get the best out of the players. The secondary could be good if we don't get hit with injuries. But I think we need to bring in another veteran at safety and possibly corner as well. Training camp starts in two and a half weeks, and that is a great thing. The hope and excitement of a new season is always special. The first 5 games should tell us a lot about this team. 3 tough road games at Carolina, Atlanta and Cinci. And home against Denver. Tyrod will need to come out of the gate fast. Go Bills!
  19. As long as McCoy is reasonably healthy this team should be competing for a wild card. More talent on the roster then people think. Defense should be much better. And the coaching will make this a TEAM, not a fragmented group of players with many different agendas. Is this team ready for a prime time Super Bowl? Not quite. But I expect us to certainly compete much better and harder then in past seasons week in and week out. McDermott will not accept anything less from the 1st practice, all thru the season.
  20. If you know anything about College Football, you should know that to start on Defense at Alabama for at least two years you have to be a dam good athlete and a dam good football player. While that does not always equate into being a top NFL player, I like the pedigree and what that stands for, and his chances of at least being a very good if not great player in the pros.
  21. The inflation of Robert Woods to legendary status is ridiculous. He is a mediocre NFL WR at best. He is small, not particularly fast, not sudden, not explosive, and has mediocre hands. In the Bills Super Bowl era, he would never have seen the field, and may not have even made the roster. Oh I forgot, he was a willing blocker. That makes up for all his deficiencies as a receiver. Lets put him on the wall then.
  22. Now we need some good Monday Nite Matchups like we used to get. And while they are at it, get rid of the Thursday Nite garbage. Most of the games are horrible. Tennessee-Jacksonville, Baltimore-Cleveland, just dog games. Would rather watch a solid college matchup on ESPN than the Thursday nite mess they call the NFL.
  23. I think you are over analyzing things. We love Freddy because the guy was talented, and got the most out of his talent, always played hard, played hurt, was a team leader, and was an all around good guy. I am not too concerned where he came from. Sure its a nice story, but stories don't make players. Talent, smarts and hard work make players. Jimbo came from Miami, Thurman from Ok State, Bruce from Va Tech, Andre from little Kutztown State. But once you are in the NFL, it doesn't matter where you come from. It matters what you do once you are there. If Freddy came from Alabama and had the same career, I would love him just as much. Freddy should definitely be on the wall, and Kyle as well. And I think Terrance McGee should have some consideration. Best KO return man we ever had, and a dam good corner until injuries took away his speed and quickness. But he was a gamer.
  24. That stat line is missing one very important number. Yards per game passing. Sure Tyrod's TD to Interception rate is good. (Because he has been afraid to throw in a lot of situations unless his receiver is wide open) But his yards/game has been anemic most of the time. Can someone find that number when Watkins and Woods are both playing? I still don't think it was nearly good enuf.
