  1. Good point. The Saints and Eagles games at home in maybe 2018 and 2019 come to mind. Its a long season. The bye week after 6 games allows for way too much analysis. We lost a tough game to the Titans. We should have won that game. Josh Allen gets a better spot on his 3rd down run late, and/or he doesn't slip on 4th down or we call a better play on 4th and short, and everyone is talking Super Bowl. We have 11 games left in the regular season. A long way to go. The cream rises to the top. We will be in the conversation come January. Lets enjoy the ride and watching Josh Allen and our receivers every week. They are awesome. If we play at our best every week, noone is beating us. But that's unlikely. A 13-4 or 14-3 finish is definitely a possibility. But even if we lose a few and finish the regular season say 12-5, we will be blazing come the playoffs.
  2. The Broncos aren't dominating anyone w Teddy Bridgewater at QB. They were smoked by the Raiders at home last Sunday. Its a sucker bet taking the Broncos. Browns at home w that crowd on Thursday nite. Keenum can play. Its the NFL. Home team in a nite game. The Browns will show up. This isn't Alabama going into Mississippi State.
  3. Good points. He was the 9th pick in the draft I believe in 2019. Thought he would be the next Kyle Williams, who was a 5th round pick out of LSU in the SEC. Kyle had an amazing first step off the line and was real strong. In his prime he was as good a DT as anyone in the league. Ed obviously has not played to that level. But I don't think he is as big or as quick as Kyle was. (Don't think Oliver's athleticism is as good as was advertised. Because playing defense in the American Conference is not playing defense in the SEC) He still has some game, which hopefully continue to develop taking him to the next level. I thought Harrison Phillips was a force on Monday Nite speaking of interior D Lineman.
  4. It was an exciting game. We fell short because our Awesome QB slipped when trying to get a half yard. (We also could have done better w the play call) But we have loads of talent, especially on offense. We need to get more physical in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and definitely need more pass rush. But McBeane knows that. And as the season evolves, we will get to where we need to be. There is no QB I would rather have right now in the NFL then Josh Allen, period. The guy is the King!! Is he perfect? Of course not. But when he is really on, we are not losing. As for your main premise about losing big games and having to live with it for the next year. Go back and watch the Bills-Colts Wildcard playoff game. a tremendous game that we came out on top of, despite a horrible call on the fumble (that was not called a fumble in the last 30 seconds) that Jordan Poyer made an amazing play on.
  5. Good points Filthy Beast. However, its a long season. We lost because Josh Allen slipped on 4th and 1/2 yard at the Titans 2 yard line. I didn't like the play call. Thought we should have run Josh out of shotgun where he has momentum and can see where the crease is. Or go under center, fake a dive and throw to a TE in the endzone. It was a heartbreaking loss. But a thoroughly entertaining game. There are some issues with our team. But there are with every team. The defense needs more then Rouseau that can rush the passer. Addison is done. And did Epenesa and Basham even dress for the game? Levi continues to be a liability against any good WR. He doesn't suck. But he is just not athletic enuf to play man coverage. The O line is inconsistent. And we still do not have a RB that is anymore then a little above average. That being said, Josh Allen is as good as it gets right now. He will be our guy for years to come. And we will win multiple Super Bowls with him. But the defense does need to up its game coming out of the bye week. And lets not forget the holding penalty on McKenzie's kickoff return. A Smith lets go of his man and we are up by 4 with 2+ minutes to play. Seasons are not made in Week 6. McDermott will have us ready coming off the bye. I fully expect and believe that. That is the moxie that the McBeane Bills have. If we played that game 10 times in Nashville, we win at least 6. We play that game in Buffalo last nite. We win 8 out of 10.
  6. Great call. I loved it when the Bills signed Sanders. He is a great professional WR. Just knows how to play the position well. Takes care of himself, has not lost his speed and knows how to avoid the big hit. If he keeps playing like this the Bills need to resign him for two more years.
  7. Good analysis KzooMIke. (Are you in Kalamazoo, home of Western Michigan?) It seems that teams do not blitz nearly as much as they used to. (Chicago Bears circa 1985 just does not happen anymore. Couple additional reasons. QB's on the whole are more mobile to escape the blitz. And the rules on hitting the QB are so strictly enforced that you just can not drill the QB w reckless abandon like years ago. Its good that you can't drill the QB in the head. But the call on Ed Oliver was weak. Unless you just nail a QB below the knees viciously, don't call it. And the phantom holding call on Morse was even worse. That officiating crew should be suspended for at least one week w the nonsense they were calling) The defensive game plan against the Chiefs was excellent. Guys understand their roles and are playing fast. A shout out to Tremaine Edmunds. I have been hard on him. (And I believe rightfully so.) But he was dynamite against the Chiefs and is really coming on. Nice to see him playing w confidence and not thinking so much, which lets his athleticism come out. We will be tough to beat every game the rest of the year. Bring on the Chargers, Browns, Ravens, Titans. Bucs, Rams. Don't matter. We have talent up and down the roster. And great coaching w great schemes on both sides of the ball.
  8. He has to be better then Singletary. I would dress Breida next week or activate Antonio Williams from the practice squad. And make Singletary inactive. You don't play well, you should sit. But Moss has been stepping up and is coming into his own. Like what I am seeing from him.
  9. Henry is not getting going. Our run D is much better this year. Star Oliver and Zimmer are all playing real well. And Henry is a plodder. Sure he is powerful but not elusive. Easy to tackle before he gets going. And they have Mike Vrabel as head coach. Knucklehead extraordinaire. The Titans should be very afraid. We are on a mission this season.
  10. You are missing the original poster's point of the thread. Sure winning in the playoffs was great. Beating the Colts (in a great game) and the Ravens was awesome. (I felt a great sense of relief and joy after the Colts' playoff game) And the NE dismantling in Foxboro late last season was so sweet. But KC has been the best team in the AFC the past few years. And going in there and laying the wood to them would go a long way in making a statement to the rest of the league that the AFC Championship is going thru Buffalo this year. Winning is fun. But crushing the Fish 35-0 and the Texans 40-0 is like Alabama crushing Kentucky and Missouri. Its nice. But that's not what they hand the trophy's out for at the end of the season.
  11. He is a good returner. In the Dolphins-Bengals game last year, he was wiped out fair catching a punt by the gunner for Cinci. Started quite the brawl on the field if any of you remember.
  12. I feel your pain Muppy. Watch the college game and the same thing exists. Way too many Def pass interference penalties being called. And the targeting calls are absolutely out of control. Any hit above the chest is going to be looked at. I thought the rule was supposed to be about helmet to helmet contact. Not hitting someone in the face or the side of the head w your shoulder.
  13. I thought Moss looked good. Singletary not so much. Missed several holes and ran into the back of his lineman a couple times also. He is too small and not overly explosive. I would start Moss going forward. I thought the O line looked pretty solid on Sunday. We moved the ball pretty much at will most of the game. And put up 43 points. The Washington Football Team was a beaten bunch by the 4th quarter.
  14. Agree Utah. I was watching the end of the game and yelling at the TV, delay of game, delay of game. And the Lions played the 4th and 19 as bad as you can. Wow that was a gut punch.
  15. I like our chances against the Chargers. They are good but we are better on both sides of the ball. I put them a notch or two below where Indy was last year when we played them in the playoffs. But kudos to them for going into KC and beating them. Raiders have Gruden. That will be good for some losses in games that they should have win. And they aren't stopping our offense. Kansas City, Tennessee, Baltimore and Cleveland are all formidable. But so are we. Its going to be an exciting season. Our defense is playing well. That makes us tougher to beat this year.
  16. there you go brother. You said it right. Primetime is the right time. That people always have a bunch of negativity about things like this is ridiculous. Football is awesome. Be happy every year that we make the playoffs. Who cares what the time and date is. The Bills-Colts game was an amazingly exciting game and it was played at 1:00 pm on Saturday. And maybe this year we play at 8:15 on Monday Nite of Wild Card weekend. It doesn't matter, because we are in the playoffs!!
  17. The way our defense is playing I am not worried about anyone on our schedule but KC and Tampa.
  18. When does Spencer Brown replace Daryl Williams at Right Tackle?
  19. Trade or cut the guy. He does nothing to impact a game favorably for us. Just watch his play on the field. I think he has zero interceptions in 3+ seasons. Not that interceptions are the only barometer for whether a LB can play or not, but seriously my dead grandmother has better hands. No team hits on every 1st round pick. It just doesn't happen. Why this guy is still starting on our defense is a head scratcher. If we started Dodson Klein or Andre Smith at Edmonds position, I think we get better results.
  20. Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand what all the chatter was about Darryl Johnson. I hope the kid gets a chance to show what he's got in the NFL. It was sarcasm bro. Put Carwell Gardner in your pipe as well.
  21. Thats funny Corta. People seriously went to the airport to greet the team back after a week 2 win?? That's ridiculous.. Was the good humor man or Mr Softee truck there selling ice cream treats too?! Why weren't they watching the Kansas City-Baltimore game that nite anyways? Great game!
  22. He was kicking for the Pack last nite. The MNF crew said he had the longest and the shortest punt in the NFL last year. A 77 yarder. And a 12 yarder. That's probably why he isn't punting for us any longer. Inconsistent.
  23. What the hell did Darryl Johnson ever do as a Buffalo Bill that he had a nickname? The guy was a 7th round draft pick who barely ever played defense for us in his 2 years w the team. What about Jamie Mueller or John Dorenbos? I would argue they contributed more to the well being of the franchise.
  24. You lost me at Edmunds. Not sure he should even be starting on our team ahead of AJ Klein or Dodson or any team in the NFL for that matter. Maybe put him on kickoff coverage since he is pretty fast and can just crash into guys since he sure can't tackle. But as to your original question, Tre White without question. Both our offensive tackles suck so far. I would say Reusseau (how the hell do you spell that name-is he Cajun?) Epenesa and Oliver should all be considered. Our safety's are both very good NFL players. And Dane Jackson will become a topic of discussion in the near future. The guy is a good football player. Just needs the experience of playing in the NFL. Has more upside then Levi Wallace. (Oops I forgot that this is the Levi Wallace fan page.) We are a team of a lot of good NFL players. But not a lot of Superstars. If Josh can take it up to last years level, and the defense keeps playing like it has, we are a strong Super Bowl contender.
  25. Some guys are just good football players, and some guys are not. Edmunds does not have the right body type to play MLB. He is just too long. He can't get any leverage to make tackles. On top of that he doesn't read plays quick enuf. The difference between Milano and Edmunds is big. One is a playmaker, and the other isn't. With Klein or Dodson playing next to Milano, we don't lose much if anything w Edmunds out of the game. I hope the light goes on for him at some point real soon. But I have my doubts. But on a more positive note, you have to love the aggressive game plan the Bills came out with against the Fish today. The Miami offense was totally unprepared for our blitzes w Taron and Hyde on the first series. And it went on the entire game. Coaching was top notch today, as well as the game plan. Kudos to McDermott and company for turning it around.
