  1. Josh Allen wasn't on the 2017 team that played in Jacksonville in the playoffs. That was the Tyrod Taylor handicapped offense my friend. The defense has not been good enough in the playoffs. That is undisputed. But the team overall has not been good enough in the playoffs, including coaching. Lets hope the Cincinnati game was a big time awakening for the organization from top to bottom.
  2. Dave I usually like your views. But have to disagree about Edmunds. He was overdrafted. And now is getting overpaid.
  3. He was excellent as a punt returner. And he didn't suck at CB. He wasn't great. But he had some good play for us. Roscoe Parrish made some splash on punt returns. He sure was small though.
  4. I believe you are right. But I think it was with the game tied, and we then took over. And Josh threw that dart down the seem to Diggs to set up the winning FG as time expired. Regardless Klein is solid. May not be super athletic. But has great instincts on where the play is going.
  5. You forgot about Terrance McGee on Kickoffs. And Leodis McKelvin on punts.
  6. That is one of the funniest things I have ever read on here. My girlfriend and I were in stitches reading that. Great comment. Was he supposed to live to 110? He was a great coach, and a real solid solid human being. I remember games as a kid from Metropolitan Stadium. It was like watching football at the North Pole. RIP Bud. You were what football and life were all about!
  7. The only thing you have going for you is your user name bro. Give it a rest. You can have your opinion about Edmunds. But to say that great players should not dominate every week is just plain wrong. The great ones are great because they do dominate every week. Maybe not every play. And not every series. But they very rarely have a bad game. Do you think LT, Bruce, Reggie White, Ronnie Lott, or Ray Lewis had bad games?? Not many. The bar of what is considered great today has certainly been lowered. Judging by how many people get in the HOF each year now. Or what the talking heads on ESPN think is "great" every day. Justin Herbert is the perfect example of that. He hasn't done *****. But because he is 6'6 and can throw the ball, he is considered great by many. If he played when QB's were fair game, he would be another Rob Johnson. Let some other ***** team with lots of cap space pay Edmonds. We aren't winning big time with guys like that. And as for A J Klein, anyone who can play for at least 10 years in the NFL, and be a solid player on several teams is more than the scrub you think he is. My son is eligible for the draft this year. Plays OLB/edge rusher. I would be ecstatic if he has a career like A J Klein. Tough smart and show up every day as a leader. And make plays when called upon. Thats a professional.
  8. Thats an interesting question. I love Milano's game. I would take another Milano in a heartbeat. So what how tall Edmunds is. He can't cover Travis Kelce who is the same size. And for that matter AJ Klein is way more instinctual on the field then Edmunds is. He has lasted over 10 years in the league. He just does not have athleticism that Edmunds has. I don't hate Edmunds. He was a lot better last season. I just would not pay him big money, because he is not a special player is all. To make big money you should dominate every week.
  9. Those are some strong numbers for sure for London. Not sure I would put him in the HOF. But definitely in the Hall of Very Good. And he would get some consideration for the HOF. I thought he was a really good player though. Brought his best every week. Was a strong leader. Got the most out of his game. Edmonds played better last year. But disappeared in the playoffs. His pass coverage skills are overrated. He seems to get lost in space, and loses track of guys. His instincts for the position are marginal. I am sure someone will offer him a big contract, because of his size and length. But he is not a very good football player. Nick Bolton for the Chiefs and Logan Wilson for the Bengals are good football players. Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde are good football players. (unfortunately Poyer is beaten up at this point.) We need more good football players around Josh Allen to contend for a Super Bowl.
  10. Beast I think he needs you as his agent. But don't show prospective teams him trying to cover Travis Kelce, because it will not look too good.
  11. Is Landry still in the league? I don't know if he can run under 5.0 anymore. And don't we still owe him a head shot after he ended Aaron Williams' career what seems like years ago?
  12. Good response Newcam. I was being somewhat fascetious. I agree this is a big offseason for the Bills. And I also agree that things are not as rosy as they have been the past couple offseasons. That being said, I believe that the Cincinnati game was a big cold slap in the face for the entire organization. Beane likes to act like the coolest guy in the room. That's his MO. But I think he will make some solid moves building our roster for 2023. We need to be much stronger on the O line. And need more weapons for Josh Allen. I am fine with letting Edmonds walk. He is a good player. But is not a gamechanger or overly nasty mean and instinctive. I believe he is replaceable. I think Poyer is a better football player. But injuries have taken their toll like they do on most veterans at some point. I did like McDermott saying in one interview that we need to be nastier on defense. That makes me feel better knowing that he sees what needs improving on the defense. But in today's NFL, games are usually won with a whole bunch of offense. (look at the Super Bowl) So lets put our best resources there. I wasn't a Nascar fan until 2020. But now I watch every race. Full Swing is a good documentary series on the PGA. The second episode was about Brooks Koepka. He was just crumbling last year after dominating in 2017-2019. His mind is a mess. And he was just miserable on the course and at home. But his girlfriend/fiance is pretty hot. So he does have that going for him.
  13. A little dramatic, don't you think Newcam?? Season doesn't start for 6 months. If Chuck Clark was that good, I don't think the Ravens would have just let him go for a 7th round pick. And that's fine if the AFC East is a dogfight. We have the best player in the division, if the not the entire league. Try and relax. Watch some Nascar for awhile. And there is also a good series on Netflix about the PGA Tour called Full Swing. I would recommend it.
  14. I did not say it was all Edmunds fault. Obviously not the case. But I certainly would not pay him upwards of $15 million/year to be a decent player at best.
  15. Chicago has lots of money. Edmunds can replace Roquan Smith. And make lots of money, and lose lots of games. The defense needs a fresh look. And some meanness in the middle. We did not win or play well on defense in crunch time in the playoffs. Time for some new blood to hopefully get us get over the top.
  16. Davante Adams is a much better football player then Tremaine Edmunds. There has to be a Nick Bolton-Logan Wilson type player in the middle rounds that can come in and make plays on defense.
  17. That game was quite a beat down by the Browns. I seem to recall a big Browns-Steelers playoff game in the early 2000's between Kelly Holcomb and Tommy Maddox where each guy threw for close to 400 yards. I think the Steelers won that game though. Browns have not had too many big wins in the modern era. I remember the loss in 1980 to the Raiders in the frigid cold of Memorial Stadium when Brian Sipe threw the last second pick by Mike Davis in the end zone. The field was like concrete. LOL
  18. Can we resign Edmunds and trade him straight up to the Titans for Henry? They just released a couple decent LB's. Maybe knucklehead Vrabel can throw in a 3rd or 4th back to us as well?
  19. Watson looked lousy when he came back late last season. He should be better next season. But still QB's seem to still go to die in Cleveland. Baker was nothing special with them. And he was the first pick that year. He was overdrafted. But playing with Hue Jackson and then Freddy Kitchens as your head coach is tough. And Stefanski hasn't done a whole lot better. I dare say that the height of Cleveland Browns football in the modern era was their win over the Bills in the 1989 wild card game. A game for the ages. Maybe they should have never left Memorial Stadium even when they came back to the NFL in 1999. LOL.
  20. Lamar and Mark Andrews have a real good connection together. The 15 yard crossing route Andrews loves to run from right to left across the field to the sideline has worked wonders for them. But even with that, the Bills have owned Lamar in all 3 games they played against him. Even the one in Buffalo that we lost during the regular season.
  21. The whole team did not show up. But the defense was manhandled on the first two drives. That set the tempo. Cinci had receivers wide open all over the field. And they ran the ball at will up the middle. You could tell right away we were not ready to compete against the Bengals. That game and to a lesser degree, the Miami game the week before (even though we won) was a total failure by the organization. They need to own it, and do WHATEVER it takes to be a better overall team in all facets next season. There is nothing we can not improve on from our play in the 2022 season. It is not so much our record. Because we will have a very difficult schedule. But more are we just nasty to play against. And can we impose our will on our opponents on offense defense and special teams whenever we need to? And lets not leave out coaching. It has to be much better against the best teams, especially come playoff time. If McDermott and crew can not show that this season. Time for a change after 2023.
  22. That's a strong statement. Maybe true and maybe not. Tre looked stuck in mud late last year. Hopefully he can regain some his old form over the next 6 months. I think you want your best players always on the field. Assuming Poyer is not back, we have Hyde and then a mishmash left at the other safety position. If Benford is better then White at CB in 2023, then put Tre at safety if he has anything left and start Benford and Elam at boundary corner. And maybe Hamlin makes a great comeback and can be our 3rd safety. But we still need a replacement when Hyde is done. So we need another playmaker at safety either in free agency or the draft.
  23. Lamar has had Mark Andrews. He is a beast that I would put in the top 5 TE's in the league.
  24. Ravens stadium was filled bro long before Lamar ever set foot there. He is overrated. And he quit on his team. Last I heard he was still getting paid during the 2022 season, even if it wasn't the offer that you feel he should get. The Ravens don't really want him at this point. But they need to pump him up to get maximum value in a trade for him. He isn't leading any team to the promised land. He was a curiosity. And now has been figured out.
  25. Good thoughts Alpha. You know your football. I did not know that Jerry Hughes had 9 sacks this past season. That's impressive for any team. But given how bad the Texans were record wise, that's even more impressive. Is he planning on playing another season with the Texans? Lets hope that the disaster that was the Bengals playoff game is the low point for this defense. And that changes to our defensive system are made. A more aggressive attacking defense is definitely needed. Don't need safeties lining up 20+ yards beyond the line of scrimmage on most plays, with corners 8-10 yards off WR's. Makes it too easy for the opposing offense. And the mindset is one of passivity. That can not be in professional football.
