  1. I remember that Kemp had a broken finger when we picked him up. It was in a splint at the time.
  2. Marrone's job is to coach the players, not be a social worker. He can steer him to some professional for help if needed, but he is not the person to get involved in personal issues. Being supportive and standing by him is fine but should be limited to that. As far as sacrificing wins, he is dead wrong and I bet he regrets saying that, his job is to win games period.
  3. Pretty soon no area will be able to support an NFL team. With player salaries in the stratosphere and new stadium expenses......If the TV contract ever softens the whole league will implode. We'll soon be back to the model where teams share ticket revenue and the fan support will really matter......
  4. Also, they should be charged 50 cents per kick..............
  5. I have this too. Cost about $20-30 for the whole season and you can watch every game the day after, You can watch in regular broadcast mode or condensed mode as well - see the entire game in about 40 minutes.
  6. I'm probably the only person on this planet who wants the game to just continue into a 5th quarter with sudden death. No coin flip. The team who had the ball keeps the ball right where it was when the 4th qtr ended. They just continue play till someone scores. Thus overtime is just an extension of the 4th qtr. Seems to be the simplest and fairest way to do it.
  7. Even Dick Jauron was smart enough to scrap the no huddle uptempo offense. Hope Marrone does the same.
  8. Ponder plays for the Vikings.....
  9. I agree, He's got an amazing first step......
  10. it's better than a yellow slug...........
  11. I remember the Matt Leinert era well. Ahh the good old days. Life was much better back then.
  12. lots of love for mario on this board - not that there's anything wrong with that....
  13. Signed in May, released in July? Puzzling.....
  14. I believe a lot of the credit is due to Fitzy and his quick release and quick decisions. Sorta like how the offensive line looked great behind Flutie and terrible with Rob Johnson.
  15. Agree 100%. The bills would have wasted his talent. They'd probably be trying to switch him to right guard. Chan is good with X's and o's but a poor evaluator of talent
  16. I like stevie but lets be real. If he hits the free agent market he isn't coming back. Some team will surely overpay him and he'll be gone for the big bucks. Bank on it. Buffalo's only hope is to tag him, which I don't believe they'll do...Sorry
  17. Anybody else feel that maybe Fitz has been injured or just maybe he is not strong enough to go a full season throwing as many passes as he does. I read on this board how he seems to be putting more body into his passes causing him to be erratic. Perhaps his arm strength has faded after the fast start. Would be interesting to see how he does after resting more - say after the bye week etc. Thats the only explanation that seems possible after watching him the first five games of the year and his major dropoff now....
  18. Plain and simple the Bills gambled on Fitz. When we were on the winning side of things they feared his value was going to drastically increase as the season went on. So they signed him to as low a contract as possible at that period in time. Same thing was done with Dick Jauron.
  19. we did some good things and some not so good things we need to play better we need to be more consistent as a team and that's on me
  20. Blackout rules apply to the home address not physical location. I went to visit relatives in Phoenix once and set up my dish. Received no local channels and the ticket was blacked out. Called DTV and the Rep stated that the rules apply based on home location on record not physical location of the dish.
  21. a little pitchy in spots. i don't think this was his best effort....he needs to bring up his game next time or he's going home. Sorry......
  22. Yep, he was captain of the Czech down team....
  23. Being a recently discharged Vietnam veteran at the time, I was hired by the Veterans Administration as a contact representative at the VA office in Philadelphia. The supervisor who hired me was a WWII Marine by the name of Carlton Rouh. I never knew at that time that he had been awarded the Medal of Honor for actions at Iwo Jima. I later transferred to the Buffalo office and had spent time working at the VA Syracuse office that was headed by Forrest (Woody)Vossler who had also been awarded the Medal of Honor during WWII. I never knew it at the time but found out years later. I also had the opportunity to work on the claim of the only WNY area Vietnam Medal of Honor winner.
  24. I remember he also had about a 50 yard run near the end of that game that was called back by penalty....
