  1. Not the biggest bust of all time (Maybin), but certainly in the top 10 all time, so far........
  2. with Zay on the field, it looks like we are playing short handed at 10 to 11.
  3. What I saw today was Josh Allen doing a Tyrod Taylor impression on a bunch of plays. Seems like when he got some decent protection he held the ball too long and then turned into defensive linemen. Threw a lot of inaccurate passes as well. Not a good day for him. But, it's only one game.
  4. Illegal formation - 5 yd penalty 1st and 15.
  5. From what I've seen, he is either very bad or has an undisclosed injury. We could use two more receivers to replace him and Zay. Time to scour practice squads,
  6. At first glance at this title I saw Doug Marrone playing halftime - WTH
  7. Definitely a run play to shady for maybe one yard, two at the most.
  8. And the beat goes on and on and on......... Wow, where and when have I heard stuff like this before? Oh wait, it's Buffalo sports. Some things never change. We've been doing this for many years.
  9. Ok you can call it rebuilding but I call it trying to get better. There's no guarantee that any future picks will be any good and think that history would show otherwise. Maybe next year we'll all be saying just wait till next year. McBeane 's doing the same as been done many times in the past.
  10. I posted this in a different thread: We're not rebuilding. Sounds like a good idea, but we're not. No, we are just a historically bad football team trying to get better. Seen way too many "just wait till next year" posts that don't seem to ever pan out. Sorry, but we're not that good at drafting, picking up better players via trade or free agency, or assembling a proper mix of talent. There is no magic wand that suggests we will do better next year. So, I just watch the Bills each year and hope for the best.. I criticise them when they lose and jump for joy when they win. Been doing that since 1960.

  12. I don't believe that at all. Pegula seems very amenable to spending money to improve this team.
  13. Lets not forget curling and shuffleboard as well.
  14. Easy for you to say, I'm looking for a fire extinguisher and an oasis to cool off.
  15. Very true and I've been a spectator since the first game in 1960.
  16. I personally think they should burn the tape, not look at it.
  17. You may be right but for me I don't have much faith in the Bills improving. Been a fan since 1960 and witnessed too may rebuilds, retooling and other such nonsense to only fall short again and again. I'm truly fed up with the wait till next year bit. You are correct, but so far am not impressed. Not calling for any firings or purges - just disappointed with what I have seen.
  18. Very true- lots of holes to fill. Is it me or do the Bills play some of the worst football at times - often looking sloppy, under-talented, badly coached and out-classed? Losing is one thing, but laying a hugh egg is another, and I'm really getting sick of it.
  19. Don't think adding one or two elite players via the draft is going to help that much. There are too many holes to fill on both sides of the ball. God forbid if Josh isn't a superstar QB, were screwed long term. Thought we would be more competitive under this new regime, but instead, in my opinion, played the worst football I've seen in many years, if not THE worst.
  20. I don't think the Bills are very good at tear down and buildups as their history shows (4-5 good years out of 60). Think they'll purge the roster some more and build it up with more crap - and the beat goes on.. They're as good with trades as they are with the draft.....
  21. At this point the offense will have to game plan around these guys as they're not up to the competition. Need moving pockets, draws, play action and other wrinkles to compensate.
  22. I just say something like "the Bills are playing "at home".....
  23. It is the same for all players. Applies to anyone running with the ball. Yes, the article is totally wrong when you look at the actual rule. Whoever wrote that article in PFT highlighted the rule verbage and then interprets it incorrectly. Click on the link in the 3rd paragraphof the PFT article where it states "does not have to slide feet first". Then look at the explanation of the change.
  24. Suggest everybody read the rule as highlighted in the PFT article. It states that a player is down where he hits the ground, not where he initiated the dive. The rule is designed to stop defenders from diving at a runner when he dives head first to prevent him from gaining any additional yardage. Therefore, any runner who dives for the endzone will be down where he hits the ground period. If he hits the ground in the endzone its a td. If he hits the ground before the goalline, thats where the ball will be spotted. Again, the rule does not say that the ball will be spotted where the dive begins, but rather at the first point of contact with the ground. Sounds like a non issue to me.
