I Bet $5,000 on Minnesota. Should I Be Worried?

He's going to get professional help if the Bills cover. It's called marriage counselling. -

If this team goes into Minny and beats the Vikes they're likely better than you think. Granted, I don't think that's going to happen but if they shock the NFL world and do it I'd have a different perspective on the Bills moving forward. -

Yeah, 17 is just too many. The Vikes could be up 28 and have their backups in the game and a couple garbage time TDs in the 4th by the Bills means the bet is lost. I'd never touch a spread that is that large in the NFL. -
Browns are going to the playoffs

I think it was a good move. He could always make the change later if He wanted but by announcing TT as the starter you took all the pressure off the rookie to do anything but learn the offense and the NFL game. -

You’re right, we didn’t deserve 4 straight SB losses. Sorry, that was too easy.

Brandon Bean failed to provide Josh Allen a mentor
MDH replied to GrizzReaper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don’t have to train him. They just have to be there so the young player can see how they do things, to see how they diagnose plays in the film room, how they handle the week of preparation for a game. Watching is a great way of learning and can be done without crushing a young players’ confidence. -
A couple of frustrating plays yesterday IMO

A product of being a rookie his his slow decision making. He looks unsure about what he’s seeing and hesitates before throwing the ball. That’s a product of a game moving much too fast for a young QB and him not having total command of a system. That’s to be expected and not a big deal. Him making bad decisions with the ball - that’s also a product of being a rookie. Again, excusable at this point is his career. The excuses for him consistently having bad ball placement is a bit much and has little to do with him being a rookie and more to do with him having horrible footwork. Posters blame the OL, the WR...anybody but Allen for this when it’s mostly to do with his mechanics. Sure there are other factors, it’s a team game after all, but Allen has an accuracy issue that many Bills’ fans don’t want to acknowledge. Pre-draft they saw it. Once he was a Bill those fans convinced themselves otherwise. I said it to you in pre-season, those mechanics couldn’t be fixed in a single off-season. It will take way more time than that and facing live bullets isn’t the time to work on it. He’s just going to re-enforce his bad habits playing in live games behind a sub par OL. I wish this regime would have brought in a legit vet to man the QB spot for at least a year and helped the young QB in the film room. Allen could be a superstar if handled right but nothing I’ve seen from his staff leads me to believe that’s being done. -

So basically what we’ve got on the board is one segment of fans who hated the Allen pick who can’t wait to call him a “bust” and another segment who wants to blame everyone but Allen for anything that happens on the field. This is the TT era all over again. I hope to hell Allen pans out if for no other reason that these binary readings of the Bills’ QB situation will be gone for the foreseeable future. -
If I’m not mistake you predicted 9 wins easily. Now it’s common sense that this was to be expected? You went from expecting 9 wins to totally being fine being the laughing stock of the league?

Every stat exactly right except the yards passing.

No doubt, anybody calling Allen a bust at this point is ridiculous. I totally understand fans looking at Mahomes and wondering why we traded out of that spot though. The moment McDermott did that he was going to be questioned if Mahomes turned into a franchise QB. Granted, two games from Mahomes, no matter how good, is way too small of a sample set to anoint him the next coming.

You can’t be right and root for the Bills even when they screw up? Why are these things mutually exclusive? Should fans just stick their heads in the sand and pretend they’ve done a good job? Hold the team accountable. If they do a good job, applaud them. If they screw things up call them out on it.
