I'll take Steve Young's word on Eric Moulds over that list...when healthy Moulds is the 4th best WR in the league...only TO, Harrison and Moss are better. These lists that get put out every year go mostly by what happened last year...a year Moulds was tearing it up until week 5 when he got injured...hell, it appears Moulds would have been better off just not playing instead of sucking it up and playing through an injury because it appears that everybody has overlooked that the guy was injured last year. Thank god he's a team player and not a "me" guy. All of you guys saying he has "off" years every odd year are right when it comes to stats, but just think who Moulds has had throwing him the ball during his entire career...Todd Collins, Rob Johnson, Doug Flutie...the one full season with Bledsoe he tore it up and was doing so last year as well. I'd like to see the numbers Harrision, TO, Moss or any other WR in the league puts up with that collection of QBs throwing them the ball.

I just hope somebody teaches Losman to slide and stop taking on tacklers...because if he continues to play like he did in the preseason he will always have some injury or another.

You can kiss Charles Rogers career goodbye, I can't think of anybody who has missed their first two seasons in the NFL and came back to be any type of impact player...it's a shame too, the guy has so much talent it's insane. I was questioning their selection of Roy Williams this year, but I guess they knew what they were doing.

My god, one week played and someone's already looking towards next year.

Last year after the first week or two ESPN had us ranked at #2 right behind KC at #1...yeah, those rankings ended up being correct...

Donahoe, I've supported you this far

What you're forgetting is that Reese got an INT two plays later and put the ball down at the 3 yard line. Reese doesn't get that INT if Moulds doesn't fumble the ball, the two turnovers pretty much wash each other out and the Bills ended up with the ball with first and goal from the 3 yard line as opposed to the 7 where Moulds fumbled it. We did get 3 points...people who want to add another 3 or 7 points to our total as "missed" points from Moulds fumble just aren't thinking it through. -

Moulds fumble on the 10 yard line had nothing to do with us losing the game. I'll give you the other stuff though. -
Damn I miss Oberman, probably the best sports highlight host I've ever seen.

Someone here doesn't appear to be reading posts. I've seen nobody say they think he should be cut or benched...people are saying that he isn't as good as many would like to believe. So perhaps you should read the posts before you lash out with insults. Clements is the type of player that kills GMs, he has all the talent in the world and he flashes it on occassion so you keep hoping he's going to put it all together and be a stud player...but all you get are those flashes mixed with inconsistant play.

Jay R and I were dreading reading this board.

Exactly, and Clements has been getting toasted on a semi regular basis for the last year and a game. I started calling him "toast" last year it got so bad. As for the Moulds fumble at the 7, I keep saying this but nobody seems to listen. THAT FUMBLE HAD LITTLE TO NO IMPACT ON THE GAME! Reese got an INT a few plays later putting the Bills at the 3 yard line...Reese's INT never happens if Moulds doesn't fumble the ball...those turnovers pretty much negate each other out and the Bills actually ended up with better field position because of it. The offense should have put the ball in the endzone once they got the ball back.

Our kicker is 3 for 10 over 40 yards!

Is he still alive? -
What does the fact that it's a "lower class school district" have to do with this story exactly?

But don't forget, it was a bad decision to punt the ball and not kick the field goal from 51 yards... -
When Jim Rome is on the list and he's not leading maybe the other poster is on to something

More annoying than any of the people on the shows is the f'in SET! WTF is up with that, I guess they think that futuristic = good production design, but to me their new sets look like I'm stuck in the movie Tron.

The root canal I just had has improved my outlook

I'm not going to defend Moulds fumble, it was bad and shouldn't have happend. However that play really didn't contribute to the loss. Reese interecepted Leftwhich like 2 plays later and returned the ball to the 3 yard line...that INT doesn't happen if Moulds hadn't turned the ball over. Those two turnovers pretty much ended up in a wash...though I supposed the arguement could be made that momentum was shifted, but I'm guessing after that Reese INT the Bills were pretty pumped to get another shot at the end zone. -
I noticed, even on TV, that when the Bills went to a no-huddle for a few plays that crowd went crazy (I guess they were having early 90s flashbacks)...like the fans didnt' realize they shouldn't be making noise when the Bills have the ball.

I think I'd hate to watch games with a lot of you, it must be a silent room, just placidly watching the game. Personally, I get pumped up watching the games...and if I can get pumped up watching on TV I'd hope those players I'm cheering on would do the same on the field. I hate the pre-thought out celebrations, to me, those are the “look at me” ones, but celebrations where a players is just pumped, even on special teams, I don't mind at all...in fact I WANT them to get pumped up any way they can, that intensity caries over and is infectious.

I think this team starts 0-3 (at least)
MDH replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's why they play the games. I learned long ago trying to project the season, or even a few weeks, never works out. We'll beat teams we thought we'd lose to and we'll lose games we thought we'd win...it always works out that way. If Jax can come into the Buffalo and get a win it's not that implausible for us to go into Oak and beat a mediocre Raider team. -
He has no answering to do for that decision, it was the correct one. It's so easy to second guess in hindsight...had the D actually done their jobs and stopped Jax on 4th and 15th nobody would be second guessing that decision.

I love the differences of opinion on this board and the discussion this brings about, but g'damn if I'm not getting annoyed with these posts that say, "blah blah blah and if you don't think so YOU DON'T KNOW FOOTBALL!" As if there is one way of doing anything and if you think differently, you're just a f'in moron. WTF, can't you just state you g'damn opinion without calling others f'in names? Or are the people who say this crap that insecure about their opinions that you have to try to head off any debate on the issue? Or have they just gotten so used to the way things are done over on the politics board?

Clued everybody in? Its in CAPS in the threat TITLE...my guess is that these people simply don't know what the word "sarcasm" means....

I keep seeing people point to that Moulds fumble as a reason we lost...truth be told we ended up with a wash there because on the very next series (I think 2 plays later) Reese had the INT he returned inside the 5...Reese doesn't make that INT if Moulds doesn't fumble and we ended up pretty much back in the exact same spot we were, actually a little closer to the end zone. -
The closest to having a complete team is the Patriots...followed by the Eagles and Seahawks...and those are the three best teams in the league.
