I couldn't do any worse...I'm pretty certain that if I were the starting QB for the Buffalo Bills we'd also be 0-2...

There comes a time when I wish a player would
MDH replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn, this phenomeneon sounds familiar...like the Bills may have experienced it before now, in the not so distant past... -
GD, lost Deuce and Winslow in the same week...not to mention Bennett in the last preseason game. Sigh.
-
Shelton was responsible for 2 sacks. The first one, where he let the blitzing man run RIGHT past him as he released to go out into a pattern and the 3rd sack, the one where Bledsoe rolled out, Shelton helped an Olineman double a Dlineman and didn't pick up the blitzing LB who sacked Drew.
-
I'd have to disagree with Eric here, the things they're doing are VERY characteristic of this team. It would be uncharacteristic if they didn't have so many stupid penalties and brain cramps.
-
Actually, Belichick and NE started this gameplan the year before last. Otherwise I agree, we need to have more timing patterns, alla the Pats. Of course, the problem here is that Drew is pretty inaccurate on short passes, but it's the only shot we've got at getting teams to back off the blitz.

What has he done in the past 26 games to make ANYBODY a "believer". If this isn't blind faith I don't know what is.
-
This is just wrong. First off, that INT was a poorly thrown ball, way too high and way too hard. It would have been a very difficult catch. I split the blame on that one as had either Bledsoe or Henry made a play it wouldn't have happened. Also, Bledsoe was off target all day long. Passes too high, too hard, too low, I haven't seen that many skip passes since Flutie was lining up behind center. Bledsoe himself even admitted he was off, so why try to cover for him. He had a bad game, about as bad as a QB can have without throwing multiple INTs.

Huh? The same size? Travis is 5-9 215lbs and WM is 6-0 228lbs...they have totally different body types and have totally different run styles. Travis is a hit the hole hard type of runner, ramming into anybody who is in his way like a bowling ball while WM is a patient, wait for the cut back lane runner, although he's bigger than TH he's faster (or at least used to be) and more of guy who squeezes through holes and doesn't try to blast through them. They have two different run styles and are nowhere near the same type of back.
-
Notice how no other AFC defense has more penalties against them and only 2 teams have more penatly yards? Sloppy, just sloppy.
-
If you would have stopped your post at "we have a bye next week" you'd have been correct, that is the bright side....the sad part of that is on our bye week we'll only put up 10 fewer points than we do when we actually play a game.
-
Anybody who asks this question needs to ask themselves if they know how to read...
-
Alright, that INT was only partially Henry's fault, you can split the blame on that one. Sure it was catchable...but it was a tough catch, Drew threw it much too high and too hard...once again the guy shows he has no touch on the short routes.
-
Maybe we still only put up 10 points a game and can't win a game because of our offense...which is exactly what we get with Drew. Then again, maybe we put up more points...it can't get any worse than it is right now.
-
I just don't get why MW isn't getting carries. It has to have something to do with TH's fragile ego. There are lots of top backs in the league who get spelled from time to time by their backups. WM should be getting at least 5-8 carries a game in relief of Henry. And if we're truely the "smashmouth" team we're supposed to be that would still leave Henry 22-25 carries a game.

TD drafted a QB in the first round of this year's draft...how is his reputation tied to Bledsoe? That seems an admission that Bledsoe was a mistake to me. I'd Donahoe’s reputation is tied more to WM and Losman at this point. In fact, if Drew sucks it up this year people could conceivably praise Donahoe for having the foresight to draft a QB early. I’ve been a Donahoe supporter up until this point, but if this team continues to play this way the man at the top has to be responsible…and I think he’d be the first one to say as much.

Face it...The Bills are a VERY BAD team!
MDH replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I said this about 30 times today. Basically every time we made a stupid mistake... Either we sign the stupidest players in the league to play for us or our coaching staff is once again bad...this team just makes more boneheaded mistakes than any team I've seen in a long time. -
That would suck...he's my starting TE on my fantasy team...
-
Where'd you get this from? I'm talking about the 24 games that RJ had significant playing time with us...the ONLY 24 games, that is, his entire time with the Bills vs. what Drew has done for us over his last 24 games...how is that the "best of RJ vs. the worst of DB?" exactly? Suddenly RJs NFL stint with the Bills = the best of Rob Johnson's career (whatever that means)?
-
Made the throws? You mean those high passes with no touch and too much power or those passes than bounced at the WRs feet? If the NFL legalizes the skip pass Bledsoe will be the league MVP... If a team sells out on a Blitz NO O-LINE IN THE LEAGUE CAN GIVE HIM MORE THAN 3 SECONDS...there is the rare complete blitz pickup, usually it's up to the QB to make the quick read and GET RID OF THE BALL. 3 of the sacks today were Bledsoe's fault. These Bledsoe excuses have got to stop.

Official "off the bledsoe blandwagon" thread
MDH replied to todd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, the Oline is pretty awful, but on 2 or those 3 sacks the guy who got the sack was Shelton's man...our blocking FB needs to learn to pick up the blitz....the other one was on Williams if I'm not mistaken. The other 3 I'd lay on Bledsoe...I'll go back and look at the tape at some point (when I feel like puking) but at first glance that's what I saw. -
The Bills will BEAT the Patsies! THAT'S
MDH replied to BuffaloBob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More likely the D will finally faulter and allow the Pats to score 24+ points...and there is NO WAY IN HELL the Bills O puts up 24+ points against the Pats D. Pats 27 Bills 10 I have a feeling that this team will be much better in the second half of the season, but we're going to dig ourselves such a hole that it'll be too late to salvage the season at that point. -
The sad thing is that the Phins O, without Ricky, looks better than ours...not much better mind you, but better. Granted, that's not difficult to do considering that after two weeks I'm of the opinion that this is one of the worst offenses I've ever seeen.
-
You keep quoting stats as if that proves your point... I’d also mention that Moulds only had 1 fumble last week, to try and even pin that lateral on him is ridiculous. I'm pissed off at the O too, but it doesn't mean every single player on it totally sucks or isn't a top-flight player. As for your stats, I'd say let's see what Moulds numbers look like at the end of the season and then compare them to other top WRs...and then take into account the types of offenses each plays in, the weather conditions they play in and the quality of the talent on those offenses around those WRs (particularly at QB). The fact that you don't want to take these things into consideration illustrates that you don't watch the games, you just look at the stats. Is it a coincidence that the Harrison, Moss, and Holt all play in domes and all play for teams that air it out? No stevestojan WRs who are as talented as those guys and play in those conditions put up monster stats… Moulds might just be the most complete WR in the league, a guy who is big and physical and can go across the middle and who can also go deep. There are guys who do each of these things better than he does but not many, if any, who can do all of them as well as Moulds. I’d also add that last year, when asked who the best WR in the league was besides himself, TO answered “Eric Moulds”. Guys who don’t just look at stats know what kind of WR Moulds is. Stats aren’t everything. Anyway, I’m done with this discussion, we’ll never agree on this and for some reason you seem to have the need to run down every play on the Bills tonight, which is somewhat understandable considering how our season is going.

Same here, took the Pack in both the TBD suicide and in one at work...should have gone with the easy choice and chose the Pats.
