  1. Did anyone else hear them mention on Monday night what Tice makes? I thought I was hearing things, but I could have sworn they said 150k a year...WTF!? A head coach works incredibly long hours...let's just assume a 90 hour work week (though I've heard tales of longer ones than that for head coaches) and a month of vacation somewhere in the offseason...with those numbers Tice makes roughly 35 dollars an hour... And people thought TD was a cheapskate when he hired GW.
  2. No, no, no. You've missed the part of the line that makes it a classic. "You know I’ve always wanted to pretend to be an architect"
  3. I think Bledsoe is pretty much washed up as a QB, but that being said Shane Mathews is not and will never be better. To hope that we can simply stick him in and magically improve is fantasy. It has nothing to do with saving face, it has to do with reality. TD should have signed a decent backup in the offseason so we'd actually have the option of pulling Drew.
  4. Belichick easily. Parcells has never won a Super Bowl without Belichick, Belichick has won Super Bowls without Parcells. I don't thinkParcells will ever win a SB without Belichick...who here doesn't think Belichick will get another SB at some point in his career?
  5. All these lists and no Salma Hayek...my list would begin and end with her.
  6. Not bad, I think I'd add Glen Parker to the OL list. He was ripper constantly, "Porky Parker" I recall hearing quite a bit. Not sure who to take off of the QB, but Flutie was ripped as much as anybody as was Billy Joe Hobert. I'd also add Bruce to the DL list he got ripped for his attitude, his falling asleep at the wheel and his offsides. I don't recall Larson ever really getting ripped on either, how could he, nobody ever expected anything from him.
  7. Isn't it a little late to not be involved in it when you've already made several posts about it?
  8. And to think, everybody thought we were going to have a RB controversy!
  9. Are you joking? Culpepper actually MADE PLAYS despite the fact that a blitzer was coming in free on just about every play. Sure they lost...to perhaps the best team in the league on the road...and they didn't lose because Culpepper wasn't making plays despite the piss poor blocking, they lost because of a fumble on the 1 yard line and a holding call that negated a TD. That game DEMONSTRATES what a good QB can do even when he has no blocking (he made accurate throws, felt the pressure and either moved in the pocket and threw the ball or took off running for positive yardage). The Vikings moved the ball up and down the field against a solid D on the road with no blocking.
  10. GD I'm tired of coming to this board and reading this type of s-h-i-t. Between Arab haters and this f'in crap I can't even read football threads without some racist crap working its way in. Can't we just keep to football and leave all your damn bigotry on the sideline? Yeah yeah, it’s “just a joke”, it always is.
  11. Flutie led offenses didn't average 20+ points per game, they averaged 13-14 or so per game...which is why people were bashing him. Somehow Flutie fans never actually recognized this.
  12. This line has played together for 3-4 years? We have 2 new starters on the line this year, now, while that's not a huge turnover in today's NFL, it's far from this line playing together for 3-4 years. Williams has been on this team for 2 years and 2 games...same for Teague...I'm not claiming that's not enough time to learn a scheme and how to work with teammates, but again, that's not 3-4 years.
  13. All of the above and then some.
  14. Check out what Culpepper did on Monday night. There was a Eagle defender coming in unblocked on over half his drop backs and he still made plays. Sure, they ended up making costly mistakes near the goalline that cost them the game (fumble and a holding call), but to have guys running that free on just about every play and the QB still made plays...it's what good QBs do. Any QB in the league can look good when he has enough time.
  15. What would you think if I said I haven't seen Evil Dead 2 yet?
  16. You're a scary POS. The things people say on this board are sometimes downright crazy...Hitler crazy.
  17. I don't want to live in a society where things like this aren't "allowed". Freedom of speech doesn't protect speech you agree with, it protects speech you loathe. I don't care what other people do with their time or eyes...I won't watch those retched videos, but I'm not going to decide for others what they can or can't watch.
  18. Yeah, conservatives never say bewildering things...I love people who generalize...
  19. Maybe in some other universe what you're saying makes any kind of sense, but not in this one. I guess you don't want to give the Ds any credit... A Bledsoe led offense puts up 7 points in the championship game and you want to make him the "reason" they won? The "reason" they won is because their D was outstanding that game, 7 points is a pathetic output. Was it enough, yeah, but damn if I want my offense to put up 7 massive points in a championship game. That is a below average output, if you can't see that I don't know what to say. By the same token if you want to say putting up 10 points in back to back games is enough, then I guess that's your perogative. But I'll never see putting up those paultry numbers as a "reason" the team wins...however, those pathetic numbers can indeed be a "reason" a team loses. Makes sense to me, I can't help it if it doesn't make sense to you. That being said, I'd lay the first loss this season right on our D's shoulders. When the O left the field for the last time we had the lead, the D allowed an 80 yard touchdown drive in 2 minutes costing us the game. Sure the O could have been bettter, but we had the game won until the D choked. Of course, I wouldn't say the O looked even decent despite the fact that I'd tag that loss on the D.
  20. If by "reason" you mean the 7 points the offense he lead put up in that AFC Championship game, then yes. Or maybe it was the Pats' D. Take your pick.
  21. That's a great point...or it would be if that Moulds' fumble actually cost the Bills any points...which it didn't.
  22. Really? When have you seen Bush discuss his own voting record in the Senate?
  23. You can only be "with" ice if you flip flop contastly back and forth on any given issue...otherwise you agree with him half the time and disagree with him the other half, depending on which side of any issue he's flip flopped to currently. It won't be long now when he goes back to his "it's a fans DUTY to critisize the team and expect BETTER!" line.
  24. It's not even close, spend the extra bucks and get the optical...you don't even need a mousepad with the optical, it works on pretty much any surface and I have yet to have any problems with mine. Wireless just makes everything that much better...50-60 bucks on a wireless optical is money well spent.
  25. Yeah, when I read something like the above post the first thing that pops into my mind is, "the guy who wrote that is one classy guy!"
