So I'm sitting with Bills fans watching the games
MDH replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jesus, before the bye week you're telling everybody that you're leaving the board because of their sky is falling attitude, and after a BYE you come back with a forget this season let's have a firesale idea. This is a bit much, even for you. As for you points. Yeah, Bledsoe is done, it's pretty obvious. I'm willing to give Moulds more than 2 games to show me he's back...particularly with Bledsoe throwing him the ball. The guy is still a top WR in this league until he shows me otherwise, and two so-so games isn't the proof. Trading Travis is just not a good idea, I'd like to see McGahee get a lot more work before I'd even consider it. -
Tied for second right now, though I took Washington tonight which looks to be a loss...I'm sure at some point this year I'll be so busy during a week that I'll totally forget to submit my picks...happened last year, I'm sure I'll put in a repeat performance! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: to myself!
-
Don't forget San Fran...they might be the worst team in the league.

So I really gotta ask...Can the excuses stop?
MDH replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The excuses can only stop once posters like yourself stop making them for this Bills team... -
So basically what you're saying is that every time he only has 2 seconds to throw he's going to take a sack instead of reacting to the pressure by dumping it off, sliding in the pocket, or throwing the ball away? I've seen TONS of QBs have guys come unblocked at them and many times they still make positive plays. That rarely happens with Drew. Jimmy Johnson had an accurate statement at the half of the Indy/GB game today when he said, "defenses should defense good QBs and Blitz bad ones." Tell me, what do defenses do against Drew? And I don't even want to hear the oline argument, if the D sends more players than the O have blockers someone is going to come free, its up to the QB to make a play.

Sounds like Yankee fans are getting a little nervous to me. Say what you want about the BoSox choking...but I'd hate to have to face Schilling and Martinez in the playoffs...particularly with the putrid pitching that the Yanks have.
-
GD I'm sick of every woman on TV being judged only on their looks. I feel like I'm watching models when I turn on CNN...I don't want models; I want quality reporters and anchors. Somehow this “good looks” standard doesn’t apply to men though… Same thing with sideline reporting on MNF, the previous poster is dead on. Finally they get their head out of their ass and get somebody who knows football and someone complains that she's not a "babe". You know what, if all you want is a babe pop in some porn, football isn't your thing.

Not a bad choice...wouldn't call it one of my all time favorites, but it's hillariuos and cutting edge, even by today's standards. And to the poster of said Nostferatu that's an excellent choice...if any of the posters on this board would give a silent film a chance, that'd be the one. I'd guess most here would like it (or you could check out what I consider the greatest silent of all time, also by F.W. Murnau, Sunrise). As for "obscure or independent" movies, it all depends on who you're talking to. I could list some movies here that many haven't heard of but in different company they'd say, "who hasn't heard of that?!" (City of God and Requiem for a Dream, two films others mentioned above are pretty mainstream films Imo...not Spider Man mainstream, but they both got plenty of press and did well in theaters). And did somebody seriously answer "Analyze That"? Some of the all time great movies that I'm guessing most here haven't heard of: Tokyo Drifter - Want to check out one of Tarantino's major influences...Suzuki's color coded gangster flick is fantastic. Playtime - Jaques Tati was a master of physical comedy and this is his masterpiece. Bah, I would type of few more but the baby is crying...maybe later.

Did anyone else hear them mention on Monday night what Tice makes? I thought I was hearing things, but I could have sworn they said 150k a year...WTF!? A head coach works incredibly long hours...let's just assume a 90 hour work week (though I've heard tales of longer ones than that for head coaches) and a month of vacation somewhere in the offseason...with those numbers Tice makes roughly 35 dollars an hour... And people thought TD was a cheapskate when he hired GW.

[OT]Why do people drive like a$$holes!
MDH replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, no, no. You've missed the part of the line that makes it a classic. "You know I’ve always wanted to pretend to be an architect" -
I think Bledsoe is pretty much washed up as a QB, but that being said Shane Mathews is not and will never be better. To hope that we can simply stick him in and magically improve is fantasy. It has nothing to do with saving face, it has to do with reality. TD should have signed a decent backup in the offseason so we'd actually have the option of pulling Drew.

Belichick easily. Parcells has never won a Super Bowl without Belichick, Belichick has won Super Bowls without Parcells. I don't thinkParcells will ever win a SB without Belichick...who here doesn't think Belichick will get another SB at some point in his career?

(OT) Sorry but I'm trying to keep the day..

All these lists and no Salma Hayek...my list would begin and end with her. -
Not bad, I think I'd add Glen Parker to the OL list. He was ripper constantly, "Porky Parker" I recall hearing quite a bit. Not sure who to take off of the QB, but Flutie was ripped as much as anybody as was Billy Joe Hobert. I'd also add Bruce to the DL list he got ripped for his attitude, his falling asleep at the wheel and his offsides. I don't recall Larson ever really getting ripped on either, how could he, nobody ever expected anything from him.

Isn't it a little late to not be involved in it when you've already made several posts about it?
-
And to think, everybody thought we were going to have a RB controversy!
-
Are you joking? Culpepper actually MADE PLAYS despite the fact that a blitzer was coming in free on just about every play. Sure they lost...to perhaps the best team in the league on the road...and they didn't lose because Culpepper wasn't making plays despite the piss poor blocking, they lost because of a fumble on the 1 yard line and a holding call that negated a TD. That game DEMONSTRATES what a good QB can do even when he has no blocking (he made accurate throws, felt the pressure and either moved in the pocket and threw the ball or took off running for positive yardage). The Vikings moved the ball up and down the field against a solid D on the road with no blocking.

GD I'm tired of coming to this board and reading this type of s-h-i-t. Between Arab haters and this f'in crap I can't even read football threads without some racist crap working its way in. Can't we just keep to football and leave all your damn bigotry on the sideline? Yeah yeah, it’s “just a joke”, it always is.

We have'nt put up serious numbers on "O"
MDH replied to Buffan00's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Flutie led offenses didn't average 20+ points per game, they averaged 13-14 or so per game...which is why people were bashing him. Somehow Flutie fans never actually recognized this. -
This line has played together for 3-4 years? We have 2 new starters on the line this year, now, while that's not a huge turnover in today's NFL, it's far from this line playing together for 3-4 years. Williams has been on this team for 2 years and 2 games...same for Teague...I'm not claiming that's not enough time to learn a scheme and how to work with teammates, but again, that's not 3-4 years.
-
All of the above and then some.
-
Check out what Culpepper did on Monday night. There was a Eagle defender coming in unblocked on over half his drop backs and he still made plays. Sure, they ended up making costly mistakes near the goalline that cost them the game (fumble and a holding call), but to have guys running that free on just about every play and the QB still made plays...it's what good QBs do. Any QB in the league can look good when he has enough time.

What would you think if I said I haven't seen Evil Dead 2 yet?

Why are the beheading video's all over the net?

You're a scary POS. The things people say on this board are sometimes downright crazy...Hitler crazy. -

I don't want to live in a society where things like this aren't "allowed". Freedom of speech doesn't protect speech you agree with, it protects speech you loathe. I don't care what other people do with their time or eyes...I won't watch those retched videos, but I'm not going to decide for others what they can or can't watch.
