Yeah, I'm not too worried about being effective though, I just want Mularky to play it safe on 3rd and long and avoid the turnover. I don't even mind if they just run it straight into the line on 3rd and longs as long as we're not trying to throw the ball over the middle of the field while the D sits back in a zone. Wouldn’t mind seeing a fade or two down the sideline on 3rd and long as well…anything with a low turnover percentage. Hopefully the running game and short passing game are efficient enough to keep us out of 3rd and longs. Though I am kinda getting tired of seeing empty backfields on 3rd and 4 or less. Perhaps I'm just really tuned into it after last season with KG, but it seems like we're doing this an awful lot this season as well.

I think she's "applying on" some of her English skills Tom...she's learnin' you! I would go out of my way to see her "apply on" her expertise in history. I can only imagine what it entails! -

Why do you feel the need to put down those who are putting her down? Isn't that juvenile too? -

I was discussing this with my wife...we've come to the conclusion it's probably the one Sally Struthers used to advertise for on TV. -
I hope we're smart enough to simply do a few draws or screens (err, maybe not screens...) in those situations and just punt the football. Except at the end of games our D doesn't give up many long sustained drives...make 'em drive the field on us and see if Pennington can complete 73.8% of his passes with a 20mph gust.
-
If we'd draft a few 7ft tall WRs and RBs I think we could start completing those screens

I tried explaining this to her as well and got attacked. If I'm going to get attacked I might as well have some fun in the process. -

You forgot the most intellectually stimulating one of the bunch... Ahh, nothing trumps this one...well, except, "Bettcha my dad can beat up your dad"...but we don't want to go there, because that might somehow be interpreted as an attack on someone's family... -

Yeah, but can your dad beat up my dad? I bet if we start a thread on this our fellow TBDers can help us answer this question! -

You know Sue, you're right. At first I thought that you were simply being lazy and not looking for the answers to these questions yourself. After seeing your responses to this thread I know realize that you simply lack the ability to think rationally. It is this inability to think rationally that leads you to come here looking for help. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I do have a question for SDS though. Since Sue can't figure these things out for herself and needs help, could we set up a njsue homework board to help her out? Maybe we could work something out with her college so that people who help her often enough can get honorary degrees or college credits? If we could do this, then everybody wins! Yay! And don't forget to make me feel like I'm making a difference andClick For Cans! -

Sue, what people tire of isn't that you asked a single question...but you constantly ask questions that are, frankly, easy to find the answer to if you put in any effort whatsoever. I think the problem you're encountering is that people feel you're not even making an effort. You're going to get these types of responses every time because people can't stand it when other ask for help if they perceive that the person didn't even attempt to solve the problem themselves. And lastly, what does the fact that you’re a female have to do with anything? -
Simply, no. A win tomorrow is expected. Unless we can learn to win on the road, it doesn't matter. If this team somehow manages to not only win tomorrow but on the road the following week against the best team in the AFC (with apologies to the Steelers), I might change my position...but that's a pretty farfetched scenario.

By "wrinkle" I hope he means we can put together long, clock-eating, drives that end in TDs. Because I have yet to see that this season.
-
While I don't think we've suddenly become a great team and turned the corner...I do think we'll win this game, particularly if we can get the elements to play a factor. Our special teams might be the best in the league (damn, when's the last time you could say that, probably when Bruce Dehaven was here) and our D is one of the better units (if only we could cause some damn turnovers)...as long as our O doesn't hand them the ball we can, and should, win this game.

Sue, maybe people are being jerks to you in how they respond...but they do have a point. A simple Google search of "currency exchange", which took all of 5 seconds, brought up a number of sites that can do the job. So the question is, why do you post these types of questions when it's easy to do the job yourself and find the answers? I'm not going to lecture you, but I will say this, that education you're getting will be useless unless you also have problem solving skills to go along with it...and problem solving doesn't mean asking others for help the moment you don't know how to do something. -
It would be interesting if the machines on which these errors took place were Diebold machines...considering the comments that their chief executive made about, "helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year." What a fiasco that would be.

I'm guessing that most on this board (and in America) would be very surprised if they ever picked up a copy of Thomas Jefferson's "Notes on the State of Virginia". Somehow I'm guessing that most probably have no clue what he believed. But don't try to educate people on the history of this county, they don't want to hear it. They simply want to believe that their core beliefs were the same as the "forefathers"...as if the founders this country all agreed with one another on the proper way to do things... I mean, just look above, someone trying to say the "forefathers" wrote the pledge? What a disgrace. Next thing I'm going to hear is that George Washington was elected democratically by the people... -

I swear half of your 10k posts simply say, "pick up a history book". Any one in particular? Or are they all in agreement on the "facts"? Hell, you act like our understanding of the entire history of the human race is set in stone. This couldn’t be further from the truth as our knowledge of the past is ever changing as a constant battle is being waged about the “facts” and the meaning of those “facts” by historians the world over. But I guess you’ve chosen your particular history to believe in and anybody that doesn’t see it the way you do should “pick up a history book.” So again I ask, which all-encompassing history book has it right? I took enough history in college to come just shy of a double major (though I did minor in it) and I never found just two history books that agreed on everything, much less any type of consensus from historians about the past. This response has nothing to do with the Bush/Hitler thing btw, it’s just a general observation of your responses to anything you don’t agree with. Then again, I'm sure you'll just call me some name and attach "liberal" to the back end of it in an attempt to discredit anything I've said...
