  1. Hell, was that ball in the same zip code as Eric?
  2. And the biggest problem is that of the wildcard teams you've listed above, 2 of the 4 teams with the best records have the tiebreaker over the Bills.
  3. Yeah, I know what you mean...how dare he actually give a football related opinion during the regular season.
  4. I'm as excited as anybody that the Bills have turned this dung-heap of a season around and have looked respectable lately, but let's be somewhat realistic. 9-7 isn't getting it done. We have 5 conference losses, we're not winning any tiebreakers with a 9-7 record. We've also lost to two of the possible wild card teams, the Ravens and the Jags. 10-6 is the only shot we have at the playoffs...and we're not going 7-1 to finish the season. I can see us going 5-3, and if we somehow manage to win tonight even 6-2, but neither of those records will get it done.
  5. Herm Edwards consistantly has his team playing disciplined ball...they rarely make mistakes that kill them (today being an exception with that late hit penalty). They are the least penalized team in the NFL over his 4 year tenure...there is more to coaching that just clock management.
  6. What the hell does "now this just can't talk clearly" mean? Oh the irony...
  7. Not that I'm going to defend Denny's play...but the way you're defining it, no matter who lost the battle between Denney and Kelsay they would be termed a "bust"...even if both were solid players...both of 'em can't start at the same position. That being said...I've yet to see Denny do anything that impressed me on a semi consistant basis.
  8. Speaking of intentionally trying to knock QBs out of games...What was the name of that Dlineman who (I believe) played for the Packers in the mid 80s that had a towel with a list of QBs names on it that he purposely tried to knock out of games? A friend and I were discussing this just the other day but neither of us could remember this clown's name.
  9. Ahh, you're right. I stand corrected.
  10. I can't believe he'd rip Kelsey and Denney like that. I mean, the entire D is "hard to block" but they're both only "pretty hard to block"...I hope they have that pinned up on their lockers and are using it as a motivational tool.
  11. This is incorrect: He also used to make negative remarks about the "tastefully named Greg Williams".
  12. patsrulz isn't even worth replying to, so I won't bother. I do, however, find the "registration nazis" on this board quite humorous. As if registering suddenly makes one's opinions more valid, their responses more verbose or most importantly, registering a name (like, say, "stuckingcincy") suddenly means you're no longer anonymous. Oh, it's Stuckincincy, I know exactly who that is! Unless someone is going to resister their actual name (e.g. Jay Rosen) they are not personally standing behind what they say here. If I passed Jay on the street I could recognize him as he posts his picture as well. If I passed Stuckincincy on the street or heard his real name called out...I'd have no clue it was the same guy that posts on Two Bills Drive. But yeah, non-registered users are the only ones posting anonymously... /end rant
  13. For all those saying, "the police did what they had to do to save the kid from himself"...you realize that there have been a few deaths (of adults) from cops using tasers guns. I'm not an expert on taser technology (and don’t pretend to be…) but I’ll make a wild guess that they weren’t designed to be used on children (adjustable voltage or not). A group of professionally trained officers couldn’t figure out a way of getting a piece of glass from a picture frame away from a 6 year old without tasering him? Umm, okay. Thankfully the child is alright, but if I had to make a wager I'd say the kid had a greater chance of being seriously hurt by the Taser than he did with a piece of glass from a picture frame.
  14. You make the Bills signed an injury prone player who has missed significant playing time his entire career. Before this season the fewest games Vincent had ever played in a season was 13. In his 12 year career before the Bills he had missed 13 games total. In his last 5 years he's missed 7 games and made 5 Pro Bowls...I'll take a player with a 7:5 games missed to Pro Bowl appearances any day of the week. As for his contract, its peanuts compared to what top CBs in this league make. They knew they were going to make turn him into a safety and his contract reflects that. As for your "he hasn't done anything for the Bills"....umm, yeah, nice assessment.
  15. If this comes down to our run offense against their run defense and vise versa that is a good thing for the Bills...what makes the Pats dangerous is that they can beat you so many different ways, if the weather makes them one dimensional it's good for the Bills.
  16. Denny is an "established" player?
  17. I'd rather have an average saftey than an average corner...moving Vincent to S isn't the best move imo...particularly since he still has to learn the position.
  18. When they walked off the field after game 4 of the WS, they were losers...
  19. Weren't you the originator of that memo before you flip flopped?
  20. I'd guess than anybody who wants to fly in from out of town for a game had better do it before week 7...because after that you might get screwed.
  21. People can bash Dr. Z all they want, he's not a great writer, but he knows more about football and watches more games and breaks down more tapes than anybody this side of Jaws. From a mailbag a few weeks ago: I would have liked him to go into greater detail about what he doesn't like about Mckinnie…hopefully he’ll do so in the future. As for my take on this issue, I've watched every Vikings game this year that wasn't on opposite of the Bills (Culpepper is on my fantasy team)...and McKinnie has been anything but impressive. The guy isn't quick enough out of his stance to stop speed rushers (as we witnessed Monday night) and Culpepper constantly faces pressure from that side...even when Culpepper isn't sacked if he takes off running it's almost always because of pressure from his back side. People can bash MW all they want, hey, it's in fashion, but he is by far the best run blocker we have on this team. It's amazing how much more successful we are running behind him to the right than we are to the left. People want a top 4 guy to come in and dominate and MW didn't, so he gets ragged on...I'll admit, much of it is deserved, but not all of it. The guy is making strides this year and seems to be steadily improving (and anybody notice how he is rarely called for penalties...probably not). Who knows if he'll ever be the dominant guy we all want him to be...but I have a feeling that even if he was there would be people on here lauding McKinnie because they have a need to be "right" about who they wanted to draft. Bottom line is both McKinnie and MW have been disappointments...at least MW is dominant in one aspect of his game, McKinnie's run blocking is nothing to write home about either.
  22. I don't think you can pack in the season and start looking towards next year until our 8th loss is on the board.
  23. That sounds...err....painful
  24. McKinnie sure looksa lot better than M. Williams tonight.
  25. What did all those yards get us this year? Nadda. He did a great job for us the past 2 seasons, but he's not the best back on this team anymore.
