What happened to Stevie Johnson announcing our 3rd Round Pick?
MDH replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Different people find different things entertaining. I enjoy the analysis of the players being drafted and the teams drafting them. I don’t need goofballs up on stage pandering to fans to be entertained. -
John Warrow’s High Praise For Beane & McDermott Regime

Not to mention that Marrone opted out, the Bills didn't get rid of him. That just leaves statements of Whaley being better than Beane... ? -
Will the Bills go to camp with 9 RBs?
MDH replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This isn’t exactly true. Its true of running the ball but there’s a reason coaches don't start talented HBs their rookie year - they don't understand protections. Putting a rookie in the backfield is a great way of getting your QB killed. -
"The Bills are winning this Draft" - Per Matt Miller
MDH replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I imagine its a pick for the future and he’ll mostly see time on ST this year unless injuries strike. I don't think Shady or Gore will be on the roster next year so he’ll be a potential replacement next year. Who knows, if he shows enough in camp this year he could see more PT than I think. -

Yeah we did, but I still don't think they're satisfied with it and will make more attempts to upgrade it this year. They might not be able to but I think they'll keep trying based on the attempt to get AB and the talk of a trade with Atlanta. -

I have a feeling they're going to make a trade for a WR. I don't think this is the WR group we'll go into the season with. -

I don't know about drafting one but they definitely need to bring in some competition, either by late draft pick, rookie FA or street FA. -
It won't even be the most improved line in the last year. Did you see how the Colts turned their line around? That said, I do like what they've done to the OL this year and it should be vastly improved.
-
Yeah, if the team doesn't agree with your expert assessment, they're obviously not serious about putting the best team possible on the field.

I can, he's accurate and smart, two of the main qualities you want in a QB. I could see him being very good. I could also see his attitude getting in a way of his success. Who knows, I just wish he'd go to another division.
-
I hope you feel that way in a few years. Last thing I want is a division rival to get a QB who may develop into a quality starter. Rosen isn't the "bust" many make him out to be. I think that's more wishful thinking than anything by Bills fans. He might end up being that, but it's way too early to tell at this point.

RD 1, Pick 9: DT Ed Oliver, University of Houston
MDH replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Q Williams is the best player in this draft but he sounded...slow, in his interview on NFL Network. I thought I was listening to Bubba from Forrest Gump, he was that bad. -
Who’s the ONE guy that you want in this draft?
MDH replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There isn’t one guy in this draft I like better than everyone else. Q Williams and Bosa will be the studs of the draft class. Williams will be a better player but Bosa plays a more valuable position. The realistic guy I’m hoping for is Hockensen. A guy that can run block, pass block and be a threat in the passing game is so valuable. Makes it difficult for a team to decide between base D and nickel (or nickel and dime depending on personnel.) It’s a matchup nightmare. -
If I were the Bills and I was going to stay a pick 9 I would leak the name D.K. Metcalf as the probable pic, even if I had no intention of taking him. Why? Because if a team thinks he's your guy they're not bothering to trade up in front of you because you're not taking their guy. And even if you were taking their guy, nobody is trading assets to move up to take Metcalf that early. While a team might be willing to take him with the 15-18 pick they're likely not willing to part with picks to move up and take him. Leaking that name is all part of the game and might protect you from a team moving up and taking a guy you really want. If the Bills really covet Metcalf (and they might) they'll move down to do it. Get an additional 2nd or 3rd and then use that pick to help move back into the late 1st round. I just don't see any reason to pick him at 9.
-
Even last year, when they knew there was a good chance they were going to move up to take the QB they didn't give away this year's 1st. Beane did everything in his power to maneuver around the board and hold onto the pick. I can't see him giving away next year's 1st at all. I could see him moving up to the 5 or 6 spot if someone he really likes falls but he wont' be giving out a 1st round pick to do so.

Wiliams' has always felt that he can create pressure through scheme and sheer numbers. His D's tend to cause a lot of sacks, sometimes cause a lot of turnovers and almost always allow a lot of big plays. His scheme's deficiencies plays right into the Bill's offensive strengths.

And so we finally get to the real truth. It's not that the French don't like Americans, you don't like the French.
-
I'm basing what? I never made a claim other than what I, personally, encountered in my time in France. Pretty much everybody I had interactions with were no more rude than anywhere else in the world. Most people were gracious and welcoming and you had a few asshats. That's life everywhere.
-
I've spent time in Paris, and other parts of France, for more than a full month in total. I've never encountered what you're speaking about.

This is the story of Gerald McCoy and the strange thing that happened to that little boy. They say it all started when Gerald was two, that’s the age boys start talking, least, most of them do. But when he started talking, you know what he said? He didn’t speak words he went “boing boing” instead. I can’t help it, every time I hear McCoy’s name this is what I think of. I don’t want him on the Bills for the sole reason of I don’t want Dr. Suess going through my head on a daily basis.

I thought TT wanted to be a starter? There's zero chance of that in LA barring injury.
