  1. If the Bills want Hockensen they have to draft him somewhere before 12. He’s not dropping to the bottom of the 1st. Metcalf, on the other hand, I think is a very real possibility of landing in the 20-25 area. If the Bills like him they could move back into the 1st and snag him.
  2. If I were the Bills and I was going to stay a pick 9 I would leak the name D.K. Metcalf as the probable pic, even if I had no intention of taking him. Why? Because if a team thinks he's your guy they're not bothering to trade up in front of you because you're not taking their guy. And even if you were taking their guy, nobody is trading assets to move up to take Metcalf that early. While a team might be willing to take him with the 15-18 pick they're likely not willing to part with picks to move up and take him. Leaking that name is all part of the game and might protect you from a team moving up and taking a guy you really want. If the Bills really covet Metcalf (and they might) they'll move down to do it. Get an additional 2nd or 3rd and then use that pick to help move back into the late 1st round. I just don't see any reason to pick him at 9.
  3. Even last year, when they knew there was a good chance they were going to move up to take the QB they didn't give away this year's 1st. Beane did everything in his power to maneuver around the board and hold onto the pick. I can't see him giving away next year's 1st at all. I could see him moving up to the 5 or 6 spot if someone he really likes falls but he wont' be giving out a 1st round pick to do so.
  4. Wiliams' has always felt that he can create pressure through scheme and sheer numbers. His D's tend to cause a lot of sacks, sometimes cause a lot of turnovers and almost always allow a lot of big plays. His scheme's deficiencies plays right into the Bill's offensive strengths.
  5. And so we finally get to the real truth. It's not that the French don't like Americans, you don't like the French.
  6. I'm basing what? I never made a claim other than what I, personally, encountered in my time in France. Pretty much everybody I had interactions with were no more rude than anywhere else in the world. Most people were gracious and welcoming and you had a few asshats. That's life everywhere.
  7. I've spent time in Paris, and other parts of France, for more than a full month in total. I've never encountered what you're speaking about.
  8. This is the story of Gerald McCoy and the strange thing that happened to that little boy. They say it all started when Gerald was two, that’s the age boys start talking, least, most of them do. But when he started talking, you know what he said? He didn’t speak words he went “boing boing” instead. I can’t help it, every time I hear McCoy’s name this is what I think of. I don’t want him on the Bills for the sole reason of I don’t want Dr. Suess going through my head on a daily basis.
  9. I thought TT wanted to be a starter? There's zero chance of that in LA barring injury.
  10. Watching those personalities mesh is going to be...interesting. OBJ doesn't hold his tongue and neither does Mayfield. When things don't go well it's going to be fireworks between them. Throw in Landry and it's a real party.
  11. I said, "If he can stay healthy he's a significant upgrade." Someone responded that he didn't miss a game last year and I corrected them. If that's an issue for you....<shrug>
  12. He started 7 games in 2017 and 11 games last year.
  13. Well, he has missed 14 games the past 2 seasons. If he can avoid injuries he's a significant upgrade.
  14. Yeah, the dining is definitely better in Buffalo...?
  15. Yeah, it just doesn't make any sense to part with valuable draft picks and then have to turn around and pay Brown like he's an unrestricted FA. I don't think any team is going to be willing to do that.
  16. Not sure why anyone cares if someone's mock is "accurate." They don't know who a team is going to take. The thing these pundits should be held accountable for is their assessment of the players.
  17. It wasn't just this game though, Goff struggled in several games late in the season.
  18. Nowhere close to the worst. The blowouts were all much worse. At least the outcome wasn’t decided until late.
  19. Goff. He plays well when Gurley is carrying the team and he can work off play action. The moment Goff has to try and carry the team he’s not just average, he’s garbage. That said McVay should have his feet held to the fire for the way he used Gurley in the NFC Championship game and the SB. Best back in the NFL and he uses a guy who wasnt on a roster late in the season with instead.
  20. Cooks just needs to catch the ball. The difference in the game is that Gronk made the big catch for the Pats and Cooks dropped his. Reverse those two plays and we’re likely celebrating a Pats loss.
  21. Absolutely a first ballot HoFer. Those numbers are fantastic and don’t take into account that he has also been the best run blocking TE in the game over that stretch too.
  22. They would think that until someone reminded them that the Bills traded out of the spot where KC selected Mahomes and then they'd say, "oh, right. Ouch." I know, because I've had this exact conversation with other fans on countless occasions. Any fanbase that has been looking for a QB for 20+ years and traded out of the very spot, with the very team that selected the single greatest 1st year starter in the history of the league would be asking "what if?" just like Bills' fans are. Only the fans who consistently berate other fans for being "negative" despite 20 years of futility think it strange that Bills fans are upset the Bills didn't take him (or Watson for that matter.) The only thing that will make Bills fans forget about Mahomes is if Allen turns out to be as (or almost as) productive as Mahomes. If he does, the Bills made out. If he doesn't, it was a big mistake. If there was a do over, knowing what we know now, Mahomes would be the #1 pick in the draft and the Bills would have no shot at taking him. I don't blame the Bills for not knowing just how good he'd be, but for not knowing he was very much worth the #10 pick in the draft when they were desperate for a QB.
  23. They were originally in Cleveland (granted, a looooong time ago.) So Cleveland has had two franchises bail on them and win Super Bowls elsewhere!
  24. I’d rather the Rams win it so I don’t have to hear about Mahomes being a SB winner.
