  1. Athletic has an article today about Dawkins and says he's a captain for 2019. Didn't mention anybody else.
  2. I'm game
  3. I think the RBs will only have about 70 yards between them. The interior of the Jets' DL is stout. For this game I see Allen having enough scrambling yards to lead the team.
  4. I don't think it's that nobody thinks he's that good. He could likely get the type of deal he wants if he was a FA, but nobody is going to part with a 1st and 5th AND pay him top dollar. The Chargers know this which is why they told him to find a partner, they know he can't, not for what they're asking.
  5. Funny how AB didn't like Big Ben taking his grievances public. If you don't like it, don't do it yourself.
  6. The Bills make the playoffs. If they can control the ball that effectively the D will have enough rest to really shine.
  7. He was a fantastic player for the Bills his first two years here, after that he had the two lowest years of YPC of his career. Last year you can say it was the OL, the year before the OL was fine. Shady isn't an "overrated" player over the course of his career (he's a borderline HOFer), but he definitely lost a step a couple of years ago. The Bills would have been better off cutting him before last year but at least the rectified that mistake this offseason and didn't keep him for the duration of his contract.
  8. The Jets are a team that could be contending with the Bills for a WC and have a brutal schedule to start the season (BUF, CLE, NE, PHI, DAL, NE) but it gets a hell of a lot easier after that. The Bills are the easiest game to start the season and it's at home. Give them an L and their entire season could go down the drain very quickly. Get them into a hole quickly and let the NYC media eat them alive.
  9. I live about 25 minutes from MetLife and debated taking my 15 year old son to both games. I ended up deciding to just go to the Giants' game because I trust Giants fans a hell of a lot more than I trust Jets' fans. I've lived in the NYC area for 20+ years and have gone to a grand total of 4 Bills/Jets games because, well, Jets' fans.
  10. Yeah, it does sound about right. Says the pieces are in place for a good team if Allen steps up. If he makes significant strides this year the Bills are a legit playoff contender. If not, they'll flounder around the 7 to 8 win mark. I believe we'll be right in the mix for the playoffs come week 17.
  11. Adams is a S, the only guys hed man up on are TEs. Adams is so good not because he can man up on WR but because he can do EVERYTHING well. He can line up 5 yards from the LoS and play the run like a LB or blitz. They move him all around and Allen will have to account form his whereabouts before every snap, The Bills dream of Adams lining up outside with Brown all game.
  12. Throwing accuracy has a lot to do with footwork. If your lower body isn't positioned properly the ball isn't going where you want it to.
  13. Everyone claimed the Bills were tanking in McDermott's first season. He also didn't buy into that theory.
  14. Shortstop is all about footwork, which is why your best athlete usually plays there.
  15. Whats wrong with that is that there are certain posters who rarely actually talk Bills football and instead choose to spend most of their time insulting other posters who don’t have the same positive opinion of everything Bills’ football. They talk about the “negative posters” but they are the most negative of them all.
  16. Everybody benefits. Guys who would normally be cut this week get an extra paycheck and an opportunity for more playing time and game tape to show their wears. Meanwhile teams get to protect players who are going to make the active roster. What is not to like exactly?
  17. One would think yet Iook upstream and see otherwise.
  18. I don’t mind paying guys big money in FA or re-upping our own players. What I don’t like is giving up draft assets AND paying a premium salary. I wont be for or against this trade (if it happens) until I see what was given up and paid.
  19. Did any of you guys actually read what was linked? It doesn’t seem like it. “Burke used analytics to project the fate for every coach if their team went 4-12.” That was the basis of the article. Not exactly a think piece or good journalism but it defiantly wasn’t stating that McD has a 73% chance of being fired. Don’t let that get in the way of taking your torches and pitchforks up to ESPN castle though.
  20. And this is exactly why he wants to get paid now. He understands this is what teams think and isn’t going to wait until they run him into the ground to get what he’s worth. By that time it’s too late for a RB. This is his livelihood and you can bet that all these posters who think he’s a heachache would be doing the same thing he is to maximize their earnings during the few years that they can make this kind of money. Not sure why posters/fans always take management’s side in these discussions, it’s odd to me. The whole, “you singed a contract, honor it” argument is hilariously one sided in the NFL. Teams cut bait on players all the time when they don’t live up to contracts yet if a player outperforms a contract they’re supposed to just be thankful and keep playing.
  21. You’ll have no argument from me there. Im not a fan or Sully, I just don’t hate him either. I was a fan of Felser.
  22. Show me the actual article not just somebody’s recollection of one and I’ll say that yeah, that’s ridiculous. It’s not like I’m going to back every opinion Sully has ever had (unlike the fans who disagree with everything he says.) But holding the team and management accountable over the past 20 seasons when they’ve been horrible is why most people hate Sully and he’s been eight way more than the faction of the fan base who always wants to put a positive spin on things. Bills’ fan’s reactions to Sully (I won’t click on his articles!) is a prime example of a population that buries it’s head in the sand when people give them information that they don’t like or want to acknowledge.
  23. When you’ve been covering the Bills for the past 20 years it does.
  24. Zero chance. Zay is, easily, the 3rd best WR on the roster. That’s more an indictment of the WR depth in the Bills than it is an endorsement of Jones though. Jones gets open all the time. Yep, his hands are suspect but nobody on the Bills except Beasley gets open nearly as often as he does. Its easier to hate on a guy who gets open and drops some balls than on a guy who rarely gets open. The guy who rarely gets open just disappears and nobody notices him.
  25. No, working fine for me.
