  1. Ideally the Bills will keep moving the split up until it's somewhere around 10-15 for each guy. They're a nice, complimentary duo and I think it's better to ease Singletary in this year and then let him completely take over next year.
  2. Get inside the 5 and teams have a very hard time stopping Allen on the run. He's not going to get many of those really short TD passes that pad the stats of other QBs because he just runs those in himself. The run he had yesterday the Bills overloaded the left side with all three WRs which also had the S leaning that way, only to pull the OL right and have Allen trot in for an easy TD. There are only a handful of teams that can do that.
  3. Shaq had another good game. He's not getting the stats but he's actually pushing the pocket on a pretty consistent basis when he's out there. Add in his usually fine play against the run and he seems to have turned a corner this year.
  4. There's always a chance Brady goes down to injury.
  5. He's always been horrible.
  6. I don't know why they'd rush Jones. They've actually done a good job of building an offense that could support a young QB. Solid OL, great RB and TE, if they wait a few weeks they'd also have serviceable WRs to support him in Tate and Shepard. Their D is in shambles but you don't get a much better O to be put into when you're drafted top 10 as a QB.
  7. Their use of Singletary kinda reminds me of how the Saints used Kamara his rookie year. I don't think it's anything to get up in arms about. In fact, their judicious use of him is likely what leads to his ultra-productivity.
  8. I think it's more impressive if you give their record without him too. Allen is 7-5 in games he has started and finished. The Bills are 1-5 in games he hasn't. I don't know, Rudolph actually looked pretty good coming off the bench yesterday. The thing that struck me the most was just his confidence in the pocket. That one TD he threw when he waited for the WR to break open and then slotted his arm to the side to make the throw was really impressive. It didn't look like the game was too big for him. This might end up being better in the long run for the Steelers. I don't think Ben was playing after this year anyway so it gives them a year to kick the tires on Rudolph and see if they think he can be the guy.
  9. So wait, is completion percentage important now? When Allen is 52% it doesn’t matter but if he’s 64% it’s suddenly an important stat? Can’t have it both ways.
  10. Well, they could no longer air in that time slot but nothing was stopping them from continuing the show.
  11. The only thing I've ever seen from Newton that was disturbing behavior wise was his post Super Bowl interview.
  12. My main concern with Allen's week 1 performance was how many times he ran the ball. 10 is way too many for a QB and he rarely slides and avoids hits. If he keeps up with this mentality he will wear down way before his time and likely not make it through the season.
  13. Cam never made any attempt during his career to fix his mechanics instead relying on his pure power to muscle the ball where he wanted it to go. I said it when he first came into the league that once he got old and/or injured and that power diminished he'd struggle mightily. We're seeing that now. Cam's accuracy last night looked like what Allen's detractor's during the draft process claimed Allen's was. Thankfully Allen was never actually that bad.
  14. I'd imagine most of them, when hearing this, will be like, "yeah, and....?"
  15. The players still had to do it. Shame on those guys.
  16. It does the opposite. Now everybody will be watching every little hit that D makes against OBJ because they expect retaliation. The Jets will target Chubb or someone else.
  17. A quick internet search found this https://www.forbes.com/sites/simonogus/2019/03/28/nfl-commissioner-goodell-says-sunday-ticket-could-soon-have-a-streaming-partner/#2a9ad6c450fa
  18. Dallas might have a better D. It's the strength of their team and one of the best in the league.
  19. My guess is they wouldn't use a PPV system, they'd do a Sunday Ticket system without DTV being the only way to get it. That would open up a lot of other customers. It would also kill DTV. I'm guessing there are many people who are like me and only have DTV for Sunday Ticket. The moment they lose that I cut the cord.
  20. It might also have something to do with repeatedly hiring a HCs who believed in "running the ball and playing solid D." My biggest takeaway from week 1 of this season is that finally, FINALLY, the Bills may have moved into the 21st century on offense.
  21. https://theathletic.com/1200409/2019/09/10/bills-all-22-review-what-stood-out-on-film-from-the-week-1-win-and-grades-for-each-player/?source=dailyemail The Athletic gave Zay an A- for the day as well.
  22. A topic with TBD’s favorite whipping boy in the title. This ought to go well...
  23. Why can’t they? Looking at the game logs Barkley had these rushing totals last year: 28, 82, 44, 48, 43, 38, 67, 31, 43. Sure, he had 100+ in 7 games but in over half his games he failed to reach the century mark. Just because a guy is a top notch player doesn’t mean he explodes every game. The key is to build a lead so they have to move away from him in the 2nd half.
  24. Miami is in shambles, the Jets' HC is already causing a media storm of negativity and the Pats are having a ton of off field issues. The more chaos for our division foes the better it ends up being for the Bills.
  25. Yeah, Hock was the guy I wanted as well and was disappointed when he went off the board right in front of the Bills’ pick, though judging from the war room’s reaction they wouldnt have taken him over Oliver anyway. That said, I was happy with Oliver at 9 and if he plays up to his potential represents more value as an elite pass rushing DT than an elite TE does.
