So tired of these idiotic decisions by Allen. Is he ever going to learn the lesson? -
This is a must win game for the Bills.
MDH replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It isn’t must win but a loss makes one of the games the Bills shouldn’t win into a must win (2x Pats, Eagles, Ravens, Cowboys.) For every easy game the Bills let slip away they need to make up for it later. -
Really looking forward the Roberts being activated. In addition to returning punts he offers a more complete skillset as a WR than Mckenzie. He can run the same gadget plays and can actually line up and be a threat as a WR in the passing game.

While this is true its also true for everybody not on the team? How then, do we determine who is a good player and who is a bad player? I like that they attempt to quantify it. Its not perfect and mistakes are made and I wouldn't take it as the definitive take but its worth tossing into the conversation about a player. It seems like most people on this board who don't like PFF don't like it because they don't rate Bills players where they want them to rate them. Or they don't like it because its not a perfect system. News flash, there is no perfect system.

Like start paying people who do work for him?
-
I think he meant AB and the Patriots.
-
Yeah, you don't pay your #3 TE $6M a year. That's what Kroft was on that team.
-
Eifert isn't even their #1 TE. Uzomah is and he's the reason they let Kroft go. Kroft couldn't stay on the field and Uzomah just keep getting better and better. They gave him the money this offseason (3 years $18 millon) and let Kroft go. I'm pretty sure the Bills would have preferred Uzomah as well but they took what they could get.

A lot of TEAMS are perceived as unimportant.
-
He had injury issues with the Bengals too which is part of how he lost his job and was allowed to move on in FA.

Yeah, this is where I am leaning. As long as "Bad Josh" doesn't show up the Bills should handle their business. The Bengals have a really good DL but horrible LBs and a shaky secondary. They play nickel D as their base D because their LBs are so bad which is likely why they struggle to stop the run. The Bills should be able to use Yeldon (If Singletary is out) on stretch plays and as a receiver out of the backfield to great success. The Bengals are also having to start their backup slot corner and I think Beasley will feast on him Sunday. On the other side the Bengals have very good receiving threats and match up well vs the Bills secondary, particularly Ross who is probably the fastest guy in the NFL. The Bills' secondary doesn't have speed. I'm hoping the Bills put White on Boyde all game and then bracket Ross - he's the guy who will beat the Bills if the Bills get beaten. As mentioned above, the Bangles OL is horrible which is why their run game has suffered. The Bills should be able to get pressure pretty consistently on Dalton and shut down Mixon.

Don't even mention that name to me. T. Hill was my pick at 12 in my FF draft followed by Evans at 13. Needless to say I'm struggling at the WR position so far this year.
-
Hill goes down, no problem, Sammy looks all pro. Take Sammy away the following week, he drops dimes down field into Demarcus Robinson’s hands. The guy makes everyone around him better. John Brown would be in the Pro Bowl if Mahommes was his QB (to be fair, I think he might make it with Allen.) Mahommes is special. I know it hurts to admit it because he was there for the taking for the Bills but we don’t have to be in denial. Allen might get there, but he’s not there yet and there’s a chance he never reaches that level.

Have the Bengals become anyone's 2nd favorite team?
MDH replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2nd favorite team is whoever is playing the Pats. -
Yep and it’s not even close. Top tier QB who is at the very beginning of his career. Mahommes is a sure fire top 2-3 QB. We’re all just hoping Allen gets there. He’s on the right trajectory but in magical land I’d cut out the doubt and just grab Mahommes and worry about upgrading WR at a later date.

Just Beat the Bengals -- Don't Look Ahead
MDH replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some fans must have amazing suspension of disbelief to have convinced themselves that when they say “we” in reference to the Bills that they are actually on the team and, as such, should certainly not look past this week’s opponent. -
Does it matter when they have a QB that gets rid of the ball in under 2 seconds most of the time? They could pull 5 guys off the street to play OL and somehow end up in the Super Bowl. I hate the ***** Pats.

5 TDs on 5 trips in the red zone!

I don't like Josh Rosen but I feel bad for him

I never saw this quote, do you have a link? I did a quick search and couldn’t find anything. -
The talk of Mayfield peaking already is ridiculous. Of course he’s not a finished product yet. That said, I could see this team struggling in the next 5 weeks and getting on each other in the press. Upcoming schedule: Rams, Ravens, Niners, Seahawks and Patriots. That could be a recipe for a 2-5 record and some great Baker interviews where he’s all testy.

Could Simien come off any blander than he does on the “mic’d up” segment? He’s the rice cake of the quarterback world.

Peter King Football Morning in America - Bills notes
MDH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No doubt, but the one thing Allen has shown in his 12 starts is he’s often at his best in the 4th quarter even if he’s been trash for the other 3 quarters. The game was still close and they were driving when he went down, I don’t think it’s fair to chalk that one up to him.
