  1. Hmmm, I guess they actually saw EJ play last year.
  2. FWIW, here in Baltimore, there aren't any Ravens fans that care if he leaves or not, even the Flacco-bashers. In (granted) limited playing time, he never showed any signs that he could get the job done.
  3. In the 70's as a kid, I remember watching the weekly show on Channel 4, "Let's Talk Sports", with Van Miller, Stan Barron, Healy, & Rifenburg on the panel. Never really cared for any of them though, to us, they were 2nd-rate to Channel 7's Rick Azar & of course the late great Clip Smith. When Ed Kilgore came to town, he was a scrub at the bottom of the barrel, very very green.... he replaced Mike Nolan I think.
  4. Maybe as a whole, though I wouldn't agree. Mick Taylor in his prime was a far more talented musician than anyone in the Beatles. And Charlie Watts crushes Ringo.
  5. ^^^ I'd say both Piper and WYWH are also better than DSOTM.
  6. He was one of my heroes too until about 25 years ago. Yeah, I read it... I'm against the whole idea of him having to write a book, but I'll admit it was an interesting read.
  7. Yeah, back before he cleaned up, lost the glare, and started smiling all the time.
  8. Rolling Stones thru 1982 > Beatles thru 1970 but Beatles thru 1970 > Rolling Stones thru 1982 + Vegas Stones 1989 to present.
  9. If true, thanks & good luck Fred. Better now for him then in the pre-season I guess.
  10. No doubt. Rex is golden, while Whaley has only bought himself another year for now.
  11. Outstanding! I'll trade an above-average high-motor lunch-pail linebacker for a proven big-time impact playmaker every time! Philly fans can NOT be pleased.
  12. To me, there's nothing worse than false hope. If indeed the current braintrust has determined that he can't cut it, there's no need to waste any more time.
  13. Wouldn't surprise me at all, just look at the track record of his biggest fanboys, they are almost always wrong. And speaking of accuracy, I don't think any other GM that has watched him play would be too interested in trading for him either. No big deal though IMO, always better to cut your losses early & move on.
  14. I noticed that too... I guess it's not easy being an insider.
  15. Here in Baltimore, I used to promote T Taylor to Ravens fans, riding them that they should be playing him instead of Flacco. That all changed after Flacco won Super Bowl MVP , but also because T Taylor has shown nothing in his limited opportunities to indicate he could be legit. Even Flacco's biggest detractors here (and there are many, a lot due to the big contract) don't want anything to do with Taylor.
  16. Congrats RalphOP83. On a board riddled with insider wanna-bes, it's refreshing to have someone actually connected giving out credible, reliable info. Please don't stop with the scoops. As for RI, I'm not a fan, but I do think he got a raw deal in Miami, and I hope he makes the most of this opportunity. I'm especially glad that we have a coach who wants real old-school football players, love the attitude!
  17. ^^^^ It's already been proven many times that QB W-L record is an actual stat. For example: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MannPe00.htm Look at the 8th column, QBRec, in the career Passing stats. Then look at the Playoff stats text immediately below, & it will become crystal-clear that P. Manning is a Big Game Chump & not close to being in the GOAT conversation.
  18. The day Russ Brandon hired him. I still gave him a chance though & never slammed him too much, but I much prefer Rex in every way.
  19. I'm still taking Joe, but Brady was just spectacular in Sunday's comeback, he shot right back up to #2 on my list.
  20. Mike Vick, Rex knows him lol.
